Quantum Touch Massage Therapy Reviews (2)

Review: I attempted numerous times (5 times) to schedule a massage to take advantage of a voucher my wife purchased me (obtained through livingsocial). [redacted] (owner) was always unable schedule any time for me during the voucher period. After the voucher period expired, [redacted] informed me that (1) my voucher expired, (2) her business moved greater than 25 miles away and(3) I could not get a refund. I tried numerous times through living social to get a refund, but living social informed me that [redacted] cashed in the voucher and stated that she actually performed the massage (when she did no such thing). I then had to contact [redacted] myself (directly). [redacted] did not respond to any email, voicemail, etc. It is not legal to take someone's money and say that you performed services when you did not.

My wife purchased two ($49) vouchers. I would like a refund of both.

Review: I purchased a Groupon on 11/16/2011 for $ 42.00. This provided me with a voucher for a 90 minute massage at thier Fairfield location. The Groupon's expiration date was 11/21/2012. I contacted M. [redacted] in March and then again in August to schedule said massage. An appointment was scheduled for 9/8/12 @3pm. A confirmation email was received. I then received an email reminder for this appt. I traveled the hour to this facility after receiving an email a week prior that their location changed. I arrived 25minutes earlier for my appoitnment and sat in my car. A woman came out of the building and left. I was then the only car left. At 10 minutes until my appointment I got out of my car to find the door locked and noone in sight. I then tried to call her phone number which I got a recording was out of service (XXX-XXX-XXXX). I proceeded to google search for the phone number directly to the company. When I called the old location they gave me her updated phone number of XXX-XXX-XXXX. I left a message stating I was waiting for the appointment and noone was here. I later checked my email which showed an appoinment cancellation notice which was sent at 232 for a 3pm appoitnment with no explanation. I have since attmepted to contact her on 10 different occasinas leaving a voicemail each time. I have yet to hear back from her. Initially I wanted to reschedule the massage, however I no longer want her services. I would prefer my money back and her license taken away. I have contacted groupon and filed a complaint. I was told they don't take responsibility and I would have to go through [redacted] independently to receive a refund I was also told that they have had several complaints as well from other unhappy customers. For the last 6+ months I have been leaving messaged at each of the 4 different numbers and emails I have been able to find. I have yet to have a returned call/email to rectify this situation.

I would like my 42$ back which is what I initially paid for the voucher. I would also recommend that she not be allowed to practice massage therapy. She is committing fraud and should not be allowed to deal with people or their moneys. As a new practicing massage therapist, whomever granted her a license without checking her credentialing should be ashamed of themselves

I entered into a contract with Groupon to offer services at a discounted rate for a specific duration. Groupon is responsible for any returns to customers and I would then pay groupon back the amount of returns, per the terms of our contract, if applicable. Groupon took one third of the amount for each promotional service sold.

I'm responsible to pay taxes on the 1099K these third party vendors generate, minus any returns.

As stated in the contract, I am responsible for honoring the groupon up till the time alloted, and per state laws, after expiration must still still honor the value toward a regular priced massage up to one year. I am complying with all of this.

My license to practice massage is valid and well deserved. The business is a start-up, single member LLC. I rented space in the same county continuously throughout the promotional period and after to render services. I invite whoever still has not redeemed their voucher to schedule an appointment through my website toward a regular priced massage, but will not be refunding them directly as per my contract with Groupon. I am still operating at a loss and have no income to return.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)

I have already been in contact with Groupon, who states that in typical situations, yes they administer refunds to customers who were unable to receive satisfatory results under certain circumstances. However, after speaking with the representative [redacted] she states that this situation does not fit the criteria. She offered information about filing a grievance and class action lawsuit. It was also stated that there are several complaints and issues with the groupon I purchased w/ [redacted]. It was not an issue with the purchase of the groupon which led to unsatisfactory results due to the irresponsibility and negligence of Quantum touch. There was no follow up to the late cancellation after the scheduled appointmetn and there was no effort to return the phonecall or continue communication allowing me to reschedule my appoitnment. I understand your "contract" with Groupon, but as I was told from Groupon directly, this is a breach of your contract and that since there are several complaints they are in the process of not allowing Quantum touch to continue soliciting business through their website. If this is unresolvable, I will be forced to join forces with others that are unhappy with the unprofessionalism and lack of responsibility [redacted] has shown and take further action with a civial case.

As long as the appt was made before the promotion ended, the contract states that I have to honor services, and I have welcomed you to rebook. The contract does not state that I the merchant refund the customer directly. The refund must come from them and then I owe them the money back. The reason for this is they track the returns so I don't pay taxes on the returns and count it as income. I will gladly return the $21 to groupon as a return.
