-----Original Message-----From: Darrell G [redacted] [mailto: [redacted] @mac.com] Sent: Tuesday, August 16, 12:PMTo: Complaints Subject: ID [redacted] Sirs:My office has received notice of the above noted complaint ID [redacted] and we disagree with the complaint as stated. This patient has listed her complaint against our office while taking none of the responsibility for knowing what her insurance coverage is We do our best to check on each individuals benefits and when she informed us that her insurance was BCBS Premera, the staff checked on this and we have one therapist who was covered by Premera at the time she came in.As it turned out the insurance she is covered with for massage is Regence and we do not have a therapist in our office who is covered by that plan as it is a closed networkI have spoken with the individuals named in the complaint and no one would have or did say otherwise as all of our front office staff are aware of this.It is unfortunate that this incident has occurred but I do not feel that our office should be unjustly libeled with regards to this incident nor do I think our staff did anything incorrect with regards to these appointments Adjustments were made to the billing which I think was fair for this patient with regards to the services which were provided to her.Sincerely,Darrell G [redacted] DC

I appreciate that DrGraeme did his research on this case and reached out to talk to me. While the conversation ended by both of us agreeing to disagree with the cause of the situation, I am pleased that he refunded more than the amount I requested
Blue Cross Blue Shield reiterates the simple process that a hospital visit is billed to Premera and all other professional services such as a doctor visits are billed to Regence. As a patient, I don’t need to know the internal billing process between a clinic and an insurance company. In my opinion, a clinic should provide a transparent interface without putting the burden on the patients regardless of how many hundreds of customers they haveThe two prior Chiropractic clinics I went to in Vancouver, WA worked seamlessly and effortlessly with my insurance
I accept his stance to stand behind his staff; however, I wouldn’t have filed this complaint if his staff would have taken time to discuss the billing prior to accepting the massage. If I knew that insurance won’t cover massage as part of the chiropractic session then I would find another place who does accept my insuranceOr the best scenario: We talk about billing and eventually find out that Regence is the proper place for billing their services. I use businesses that treat me as a valued customer no matter if it’s the first time or after many visits
Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me
