*** *** May 21, 2016 Honda Civic VIN # *** 72,miles 5/21/16 7:am - Ms*** dropped off
her vehicle for a brake inspection and potential repairs. The vehicle was checked, quoted, customer called with information and price, and approval was given for the rear brakes to be repaired (included new pads, resurface rotors and brake flush ). The repair was performed, test driven and found to be good, customer called and the car parkedMs*** came in, paid and went out to leave. She came back in stating that the car would not start. *** checked it, jump started vehicle, tested the battery and found it to be within parameters, and let Ms*** leave. Within 10-minutes, Mr*** called accusing *** and our shop of being underhanded, that we drained his battery and tried to take advantage of Mrs***. *** assured him that we did nothing to the battery and that it started fine each time we started it (4x at least). *** explained that if we thought the battery was bad we would have quoted one and called Mrs*** with that update. We did not quote a battery for her because we saw no need for a battery while we were performing the brake work. The first time the vehicle failed to start was when Mrs*** tried to leave after payingThen, even after jumping the vehicle, when the battery test demonstrated that the battery was fine, *** did not quote a battery to her or suggest that she had to get oneThe only time that *** gave a battery quote was to Mr*** over phone when he asked for the price during the call Mr*** made to us after his wife picked up the car. When Mr*** asked how much a battery would be, *** told him, Mr*** said he was not going to give us that money, *** replied that he wasn't asking for it, just answering Mr***'s question about the cost of a battery replacement at our shop for their vehicleDuring the phone call between *** and Mr***, Mr*** used a lot of cuss words and derogatory remarks about *** and the shop. *** did not reciprocate. Mr*** said he would not be back to our shop and *** replied that he was sorry that he felt that way, and once again explained that it was just a coincidenceThe customer states that the car is starting just fine in the week after the incidentIn summary, *** never tried to sell Mrs*** a battery and only gave a price after Mr*** asked for one during the phone call after the brake repair was done and the car was gone from the shop. *** did not try to make more money off of Mrs***. That is not how we do businessThe brake repair she approved was performed correctly. Her battery is working fine. We will not be refunding any money to Mrs*** *** *** Owner

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11129955, and I had an appointment scheduled everytime I've went there and on the 8th I had an appointment [redacted] rescheduled it for the next day because the foreman or whatever he said wasn't there so he scheduled it for the next day. I won't be able to make it in on Saturday but I can come on Monday if they'll be there. I did my own research and I know about my car and that they are the reason behind the lean code and I refuse to give then any money for something that they messed up.
