To Whom It May Concern,Room For Growing would like to apologize for the experience thisfamily felt they’d hadRoom For Growing’s mission is to partnerwith families to create trusting relationships that foster each individual child and their families.In this case, we did our best to support this child in our learningenvironmentThe documentation in this child’s file states that abehavior support plan was on file, due to the child beingpersistently aggressive towards peers and teaching staff, andrepeatedly using profane language in the classroom.Documentation in the child’s file also states that administrativeand teaching staff had regular conversations with the child’smom about the concernsAdministrative staff also made areferral to seek third party therapeutic services for the behaviorconcerns.It is Room For Growing practice to remove children from theclassroom when they are being aggressive towards others andusing inappropriate languageWhen children are removed fromthe classroom they stay in the office with administrative staffuntil a parent arrivesChildren are not placed in corners.Due to Room For Growing’s confidentiality policy teaching staffdo not disclose information about other children to parentsWiththat being said, staff wouldn’t have informed this parent abouthow the situation with the child who bit her child would havebeen handled.We would also like to note that these concerns were neverbrought to Room For Growing’s attention until this complaintfrom the Revdex.com was received.This family began enrollment on 9/16/2013, the child attendedfull time and tuition was paid by the county childcare assistanceprogramThe family did have a co-payment they wereresponsible for paying weeklyBoth the county and Room ForGrowing informs the parent of their financial responsibilityThisfamily was responsible for paying $per week for theirchildcare services, the county paid the remaining tuitionFromthe weeks of 7/20/to 9/11/2015, the co-payment and otheractivity charges were not paid, creating a balanceStatements toinform parents of balances due are given weekly.On 9/11/this family’s county childcare assistance wasdiscontinued, both the county and Room For Growing informsparents of the service end dateThis family chose to continueenrollment and pay the tuition privatelyThe child attended fivefull days during the week of 9/14/2015, and two days during theweek of 9/21/Room For Growing gave notification ofdisenrollment on 9/21/2015, due to tuition not being paid for theweek of 9/14/The outstanding tuition balance was $418.On 9/21/the family was provided with a letter notifyingthem of the tuition balance they owed, the letter also stated thatif the balance was not paid in full within days the tuitionbalance would be sent to collections.During the month of October 2015, additional letters notifyingthe family of the tuition balance due were mailedRoom ForGrowing administrative staff also called and left messagesregarding the tuition balance that was overdue.Following county childcare assistance policies, Room For Growingdid report the unpaid co-payments to the family’s caseworker.In the following months both the family and the family’s childcare assistance caseworker called Room For Growing to inquireabout the total of the tuition balanceBecause the family left theprogram with a balance, the caseworker wouldn’t approve thefamily to use county childcare assistance else where, until thebalance was paidThe family did leave a partial payment of $137on 11/16/2015, leaving a balance of $still unpaidThe $281balance was paid by [redacted] on 6/10/2016.To address the statement that time was added to the child’sattendance, our attendance records are on a computer system,only the family’s initials are on the time stampsWe are able toprovide documentation that time was not added to this child’sattendance record.Room For Growing is able to provide any documentation neededupon requestRoom For Growing can also provide a contact atthe childcare assistance program, whom can give moreinformation about the family being aware of their outstandingbalance
