May 18th I went to Queens wig shop in Renton and purchased a wig. I wanted to take it out of the package for a closer look but the sales clerk said it was the same as on the wig stand that was on the shelf and that was as much as she could show.. When I tried the wig on at home it did not fit properly, and I noticed a strap on the wig was broken. I went back the next day and was told they absolutely did not give refunds; I tried to explain the product was defective and I did not pay for a flawed product. The two ladies who said they were the managers Dee & Nene were rude and unyielding. I asked for the owner and was told she was not reachable. I came back to the store the next day and a lady came out with a sewing kit to repair the strap to which I said NO. Their manner had convinced me this was not a place I wanted to spend my money and I asked for information to contact the owner. ( They also said they would sell me another wig with a 10 percent discount). They said they could not give out contact information. May 20 I left the state for a month or so on a preplanned trip. Since my return the end of June I have been back to the shop three times, leaving my contact information for the owner as I wanted to hear from her before taking further action. Was told her name is Sonny. To date I have not heard from her and am very vexed by the actions of the shop personnel as it appears they are deliberately hiding information. I want to return this wig I cannot use and get a total refund of my money. I was told the strap probably snapped when I pulled the wig on my head to which I said was not the case, but even if it were that would further indicate a defective product. I have old wigs and the straps are intact.
