I was in excruciating pain and I was visiting my grandfather in [redacted]. He took me to his dentist and I was treated so well. I found Queens Family Dental extremely professional and I plan on training in to Astoria to continue my dental care there. I highly recommend them.

I waited until monday went into the office and aksed for my money back, [redacted] told me he could not refund my money because he sent away on the [redacted]. Response:

This are the fee's charged to PT. and they where explain to her by me.([redacted]).

Total payment by PT. was $2,800 fee's charge $675-$175 (discount given) total fees $500.

$2,800 (PT Payments) - $500 (fee charge) = $2300 (credit)

Total Reimb to Patient was $2300 because that is all that was owed to her.

We will like for these claim to be closed if she has any question I will be more than happy to explain the fees to her again she can just call me I did try reaching her but was unsucesful.

Thank you.

Review: To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to file a complaint charged on my account. I believe that I already paid my dues. Let me tell you the reason for the full remaining amount dispute.

I went to the dentist for a cleaning promotion thru Groupon, I believe it was sometime in July 2012. The dentist explained that I need some procedure to better my teeth and that he will give me a device that will prevent grinding of teeth at night, all will cost me $1900.00 and that is how he enrolled me to this account. After a week, I realized that I cannot afford the whole amount, went back to the office, spoke with the dentist about me NOT pushing thru the procedure anymore, and we both agreed that I will just need to pay for the teeth device for $250.00. NO PROCEDURE WAS DONE AT ALL. At that time, I told the dentist that I will just pay $250.00 cash right away so he can close my account, but the dentist said to just pay up to $250.00 thru the Citi Health card and he will take care of my account after it.

Sometime in May 2013, I went back to the Dental office and gave them a copy of all the payments I made, proof that $250.00 has been paid already, and even more. All this happening with the secretary and a dental technician “[redacted] and [redacted]” around understanding what I came there for. In fact, the dentist said he will ask “[redacted]”, his secretary to take care of it. The dentist stated not to worry, that he will take care of my account to clear the remaining balance.

After a month, June 2013, nothing has been done, keep calling the dentist and will just repeatedly say that he will take care of it and in the process of talking with the credit card company. I even pay again for the amount of $25.00 because I don’t want to have any past due. Informed the dental office about it. I spoke to the secretary and she said she will let the dentist know.

July – August 2013. Nothing changed, I am still receiving statements to pay, been calling the dental office, and been trying to get a hold of the dentist, telling me they will call me back and never called back. I cannot go personally to fix the problem because I was working in Syracuse, NY. Dental office is in Astoria, NY. Dentist and secretary repeatedly lied by saying they called in Citi Health card and fixed the account already.

August **, Friday – called the office and the secretary “[redacted]” told me she took care of the account during lunch time and that I don’t need to worry anymore.

August **, 2013, received a text message from Citi Health Card due to past due unpaid balance.

August **, 2013, I called Citi Health card to file a dispute for the whole remaining amount. Tried to fix the problem again by calling the Astoria Dental office, ask them if there is anything I can do to help them clear my account, and yet again the secretary relayed the message that dentist said he will call me and fix the account as he always say which never again happened. For any reason, the dentist never speak to me on the phone and it was always the secretary that I am speaking to.

August **, 2013, found out thru a Citi Health card customer representative that there were no attempts or steps ever made even before by the dental office to process a change in my account.

This problem has been causing me stress and headaches. It is in fact affecting me in different aspects. I just want the dentist to clear me from the remaining balance. And if this will not be resolved, I may have to seek for a legal help.

• Dentist name is [redacted]

• Office in Astoria is open only on Monday and Friday, hence, the only days I can follow up through phone call, and before I know it, it’s my account’s due date again.

If your office will need anything to help with this dispute, kindly let me know.

Thank you,

This is to inform you that we have and arragment with the patients and this has being resolved.

Thank. you,

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

First of all, as of today, Nov. *, 2013, the acct still has $32.00 outstanding balance. You can show [redacted] all the check you want, but if nothing makes it to Citi Healthcard, the issue is still UNRESOLVED.

Second of all, please do not write Business Bureau as if you are the victim and was taken advantage of. You mentioned that we NEVER discussed that the amount you need to settle is $1632.00 right from the beginning? If I will bring this complaint to a legal matter, can you standby what you are saying here? If I asked to retrieve and subpoena all our phone conversations, let us see who is talking truthfully here and who is lying. For all the stress and trouble you have caused me, I am willing to go that far, do not dare me.

With all due respect [redacted], I'm trying to make a point here. I just hope this case will be posted so that consumers can be given a proper warning on such business like this. Queens dental did not act in this complaint until they here it from Business Bureau. And now they have the nerve to act like I did not try to resolve this problem with them first? Please. Believe me , [redacted] or [redacted], you will still here from me. Consumers deserve to be informed.

Attached is a photo of citi healthcard account.

Thank you [redacted]

Response:

Dear [redacted]:

We have never discuss with the patient about any additional moneys, the reimbursement discuss was $1600 and I made a payment plan with the patient of $400 in 4 payments and it was done. If any other fees where charge it was not discuss wi1h me. But we want these to be done, over with; we are going to give her the additional $32 let's just finished with these.

We have kept our word: everything I told the patient I was going to do I did it On previous occasions I submitted proof of dates and amount checks where send, I cannot control when the credit card company applies the payments we send to them, to the patients account or statement. We did what we needed to do now is time as well for her to keep her word.

Please find attached copy of the checks send, with these payments we are all paid up. We regret that we couldn't please her but we are all paid and we will like this case closed.
