How do you respond to a business owner that accuses their customer of theft and attacks their character? Absolutely unbelievable!Let me start with the rebar, to pieces were left in my planting bed among the plants and I put them in a bucket when I was doing some clean up work in my landscapeWhen they asked me if I had seen some rebar, I immediately told them I put it in my bucket and they were in my garden shed, went up and got it and apologizedThe pressure washer wand that was LEFT in the grass on my property after the crew had leftI picked up the wand and placed it outside my garage door, assuming someone from [redacted] Concrete would come and pick it upThe next afternoon when I returned home, the wand was gone, so I assumed they had picked it upA few days later, [redacted] called me and asked if I had seen their pressure washer wand? I informed him that it was left in the grass and I put it outside my garage where they could see it, and I assumed they ( [redacted] Concrete) had picked it up since it was gone? He stated no one from his company had come to my house to pick it upI informed [redacted] at the time, that my house was pressure washed a week earlier, and it may have been someone from the painting contractor that picked it up when they came to my house to confirm colors and saw the wand outside my garageI told ***, I would contact Lakeside Painting and asked if they picked it up assuming it was theirs from the previous pressure washThe painting contractor picked it up assuming it was theirs, they did return it and apologizedI left a message on the [redacted] Concrete voicemail, letting them know they could pick it up at any time, which they didWhy [redacted] would accuse me of STEALING his pressure wand when he clearly knew the circumstances is appallingEspecially considering the effort I made to follow up and get it returned! Contact Lakeside Painting ask for the job foreman *** [redacted] Concrete gives anyone reading their response, that I went into my garage and handed it over, NOT TRUE! Regarding my convenience of being out of town the day they finished the work, I told [redacted] that I did not need or want the finish done on my patio for the memorial day weekend, since I was not going to be using itI had also asked his wife when she called to schedule (5/25) the final color and seal, if we could postpone until after the Memorial Day Weekend, so I could be there when they did finish work, due to my concerns with the colorI was told No! Does this sound like a person who conveniently was out of town? They knew this ahead of time! The fire pit construction was offered to [redacted] if he could match the price($1250.)from a landscaper that had done a wall repair a few weeks earlierI thought he may want the work while he was already there anyway, and I had mentioned that I could pick up the kit from Halquist Stone if that would help? He said he could not match the price, and I was perfectly fine with it The last thing I want to point out, is that we allowed any of the workers into our house to use the bathroom, offered water on several occasions, brought in doughnuts one day for breakfastI provided Payment each time per the contract requirementsThe only exception, was the concrete removal did not qualify as the start of the first pouring of concrete, which is what [redacted] said required the first full paymentConcrete removal paid $4/19/17, 1st half of patio paid $5/5/17, 2nd half patio $paidThe response by [redacted] Concrete is a total defamation of character! Instead of dealing with the facts, and try to work with their customer, they made statements that were completely false! Why did they say they would add the medium gray color, quote "trust me we will take care of it" then did Not? Why did they not come out to look at and discuss my concerns, before I went out of town? Which I informed them of on 5/22/17? Why for the first time, are they now discussing the specifics of the color issue with me? My contract also states that stain color is included in as many stone pieces as I want, which is what I was requesting, gray color being added back in, that was pulled out of a good portion of the second halfTurner Concrete stated and committed to adding base color that they could not do! My wife and I clearly discussed the medium gray tone as our finish color for our Whole patio when the owners wife came to our house to select finish colorWe also stated that we did Not want a light gray or blue gray finish! What we have is an inconsistent gray finish, the two halves of my patio do not match! I have half in medium gray, and the second half in a combination of gray, specifically a very light gray and blue gray that we indicated that we did Not want, when we discussed and finalized the finish color with the owners wife at our home Regards, [redacted] ***

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]Why did Turner Concrete communicate to me that they could / would add the color (medium gray base), if they could not add color to the hardened concrete all along. I would like to start by telling you what kind of person Mr. [redacted] is. We caught Mr. [redacted] stealing our rebar that we had been using on the jobsite. He did return it after being confronted.  A day later, Mr. [redacted] stole our pressure washer wand from the jobsite. He also returned that when...

confronted.Mr. [redacted] asked for a quote for a fire pit.  We gave him a quote for the same price that we charge any of our customers for installing a fire pit. He did not like that price.  He thought that it was too high and asked is we would lower it to a price that he seem at Halquist Stone. I told him we would not do that. That is when his attitude changed and he became angry.Mr. [redacted]'s patio looks absolutely beautiful. There is nothing to fix because there is NOTHING wrong with it. We have been installing stamped concrete for 22 years. We showed Mr. [redacted] photos of our 22 years of work before he agreed to have us install his patio. His job looks just like the ones in our photo albums. I have attached pictures that I took of the completed job to show you what kind of person that we are dealing with. This is a frivolous complaint by Mr. [redacted]. I believe this is his attempt to get out of paying his bill. He owes a final payment of $340.00. He sighed a contract that states ($340 to be paid upon completion). The job was completed 2 weeks ago. He also conveniently left town the day the work was to be finished and refuses to pay his bill.
