Quick Appliance Service prides overselfs on top customer service, we service over 2,customers per year Quick Appliance was asked to Service a customer outside of our service area by the manufacturer *** We set up an appointment to service this customer, we arrived on time,
& as instructed by *** all warranty service calls must call the manufacturer *** at time of service visit Quick appliance needs to get the exact model & serial # listed on the rear of the unit being serviced We were unable to access this refrigerator because the customer had installed this unit into a closet After talking with the manufacturer we were instructed to order a new door seal gasket, and installQuick Appliance asked the customer to remove the unit from within the closet opening before arriving with the door gasket to install The customer did not remove the unit from the closet, and the new door gasket would not fit there refrigeratorQuick Appliance called the manufacturer *** & explained the situation*** instructed Quick Appliance to complete the service call and add notes to there internal computer system *** called Quick appliance weeks later asking us to re-service this customer, we explained the situation, & *** told the customer the unit needs to be removed from the closet for us to service properlyQuick Appliance made an appointment & returned for our third visitUpon arrival we were able to obtain the correct model & serial numbers from the refrigeratorThe model number supplied by the customer was incorrect, and that explains why the door gasket part would not fitThe customer did state to us that the unit has been working properly since being removed from the closet areaQuick Appliance contacted the manufacture *** and relayed the correct model & serial numbers to ***Quick Appliance was told that our services are complete in regards to service on this unit, and *** will be escalation to the manufacturing department Quick Appliance received a phone call days after our third service visit to tell us they are unhappy we cancelled there warranty, we explained to the customer that Quick Appliance does not have any authority to make any decisions in regards to warranty or repairs, ( we can not cancel warrants ) the customer needs to speak with the manufacturer, we are only able to do what the manufacturer allows us to doAfter the customers explanation to us of what the owners manual states, there needs to be a minimum of inches on rear of unit, inch on all sides, and needs unobstructed air flow around unitThis refrigerator is not designed to be installed into any type of enclosed areaAs the customer states once it is out of the closet area it works great Quick Appliance does not have authority to make any decisions for the manufacturer We had schudeled and completed service calls to this customer out side of our services area, and were only compensated for service visit from the manufacturerThe customer was never asked to pay anything to Quick Appliance ServiceQuick Appliance has pictures available on request for this service order, and we feel we have done everything allowable to assist the customerWe try our best for top customer servicethank you, Mike- Owner/Operator Quick Appliance Service
