Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I don't know how off the mark this response isHe totally omitted the issue; I wanted my rotors back; Josh said State Laws do not permit him to return themI ask why? ? did he say that; ignorance of laws is no excuseMy Colleague at Call for action called and he said he will check into ? ? ? it.this should not happen at my shop.Then he got bolder with time and started reneging on his promise.? There is no family involved in thisA customer standing by seeing this replacement was surprised that these rotors are? ? being changed and advised me to ask him to just put them backHis E mail attached.? I will enclose all his e-mails once I get back home.? Issue is why did he say these Rotors by State Law cannot be given back; I can take a lie detector test.? [redacted] had fixed a leak in my tire ? only days before and put little rubber caps on the nutsI asked him to check all tires? ? ? and I went around on all four sidesI check the tires every morning if these are not deflated and in the process check all? ? ? covers ; when you own an ***, you take good care of it.? ? The tires were full of tar, it took me days to get it offIt is not wheel cap, it is a little rubber cap that covers nutsBut it is not an issueI saw the brakes squeaking, making noise and I saw this missing rubber cap but let us not shift the base issue by going in a direction that is not releventLook at [redacted] Report, it says it allBrakes make lot of noiseI wrote to Midas that I want it in writing after he told me I can take the car any place I like unless he meant it different.? I would love to bring my Ex FBI friend, 'we now work at [redacted] ', to the table if she would agree to come to prove my pointI cannot go back to him when he is not acknowleding the mistake.? Dear [redacted] ,Thank you for your letter outlining the complaint (ID [redacted] ) from [redacted] ***I spoke to [redacted] after he had service performed at Midas and [redacted] said his car is not safe and he believes it is due to the repair performed at Midas - GaithersburgI offered to have him bring the car in s we can evaluate it at no chargeHe refusedHe then said he wanted to take his car to the [redacted] dealership and have them look at the work Midas performed to see if they could have done a better jobI re-stated that he would need to bring his car back to Midas for the brake evaluationOnly then will we be able to thoroughly inspect the vehicle to determine if additional repairs are necessaryHe said he did not want to do this [redacted] said he feels like our Manager was deceptive when coming up with the repair priceI spoke to the managerWe initially quoted new front and rear pads and rotors with our most used local parts supplier and the price was less than then final repair priceThis is because the customer demanded rotors be purchased from an [redacted] dealerSo, we accommodated the customer by acquiring rotors from the [redacted] dealer which are more expensiveThe revised estimate which the customer approved included the [redacted] rotorsThe customer stated that after he paid for the repair he was talking to a family member and they told him he overpaidI let him know that he’s welcome to get an estimate from his [redacted] dealer and compare pricing although we believe he got a fair priceThe customer has also accused our shop of stealing one of his wheel capsOur service tech who worked on the car specifically remembers that it was missing when the vehicle came in for serviceI believe the customer received quality repairs for a fair price and now is having buyer’s remorse based on what his family members are telling himThere is no evidence that our brake work would cause his car to uncontrollably pick up speedHe refused to let us look at his car again even though his brake work came with a warrantyTherefore, Midas cannot be held? responsible for service repair invoices [redacted] incurred at another repair facility.Please feel free to contact me directly should you ever have any issues in the future with the Midas stores in Rockville, Gaithersburg or Germantown at [redacted] or [redacted] ***.comCustomer service is very important and I want to make sure all our customers get the best possible value and service every time they visit one of our locations.Sincerely,Mark P***###-###-#### [redacted] .com
