Our response to ***’s claims are as followsWhether it was *** *** or a Body Shop that referred him, we are the go shop for many Companies in *** because they trust our workmanship and ethicsHe had been to *** *** and they did not want to deal with him is more correct, so he came to us referred by his body shop that could not or would not do his windshieldHe came to us already fustrated with the body shop that had kept his motor home for monthsWe take ligimate weeks from start to finish finding and its not good enough. The motor home sat because he came in only needing a windshield then stated it also needed a rain gutter replacement, which we were trying to locate through local rv dealers and it was not availableThat’s when we had to order it online and his insurance had to approve it. The windshield had to be special ordered as wellAny reasonable person would understand this, its a process. The windshield was shipped from *** in a crate that alone took daysNone the less we could not start till we had everything on handSince the glass had to be special orderedIt has to be sent to his insurance for approval a standard procedureThat was done, but until then and only then could we order everything requiredThat should not be that hard to comprehend when a company is bending backwards to get you exactly what you want.
The check was sent to him, and should have been signed over to usWe only accept checks from Insurance CompaniesThat’s why if he deposited our check and we do not accept personal checks, we asked him to pay us by debit and he refusedOk if you have our monies in your account ready to pay us by check why then can you not pay us by debit? That is when a red flag went upWe as a shop have the right to demand a payment by cash if you have cashed our paymentThere is nothing deceitful about that
About the wobbly cabinet*** had stated that this was the second windshield that had broken upon him making a sharp turnWell as a glass shop we inspected it and noticed first that the overhead cabinet that holds an lb box tv was wobbly and had a corner trim piece almost touching the glass, at which point it might be the cause of his previous breaks, so our glass tech *** shaved about half an inch of the corner of the trim piece of the cabinet, since we can not control how wobbly the cabinet was during driving this was something that could help this from happening again if that’s where the crack initiatedShaving a corner trim that was rubbing on his windshield is what we did, which we did not have to do, we did it as a courtesy so this might not be an issue for him againAs always keeping our customers interest in mind as a priorty, to say we cut his cabinet and botched the job on his wobbly cabinet is beyond me
When a customer accuses your hard earned reputation of over ** years of stealing and botching a job that was professionally done, you bet we will defend it like no otherThank goodness we have earned the respect and good name with both *** *** and *** *** and We are the go to glass shop for both of themNow that says a lot about our ethics and workmanshipWe have a lot more info on this particular unit and are ready willing and able to share if we need toIf this is what *** thinks is judging then so be itAs we have been harshly accused and judged ourselves, by ***
We installed his glass over months ago, its now broken as he claims he wants a new windshield or his money backOur warranty covers leaks, Not broken windshields, four months later In fact in case he does not know, No one covers broken windshields not even one hour later, Period ! One could replace a windshield, drive off and be hit by rock debree one hour later and crack the windshield againWho would be responsible ? In ***'s eyes the glass shop, months later... Who can reason with someone like that...
Case Closed !

We are very familiar with *** ***He came to us after going into *** *** ** *** and demanding that someone look at his unit immediately*** *** does not work that way you must leave your unitThey referred him to us as they did not want to deal with him or his attitude
Since we are the go to glass Company used by *** *** ** *** for there windshield installations with never any issues I might addThey personally warned of his hot temper and rude natureBeing demanding and rude gets you no where
He called us for his windshield replacement and a rain gutter which he was going through his insuranceWe proceeded to look at his unit and got his windshield, rain gutter and a new molding approved by his insuranceThe insurance company usually sends they check to the insured to be signed over to the shop that is doing the workIn this case *** cashed the check and wanted us to accept his personal check for $***We kindly told him we do not accept checks, but we would accept debit since he had already cashed the check that was supposed to go to us that we could have accepted if it was from the insurance companyIts unfair to us to pay for credit card processing fees when we have already been issued payment by the insurance companyTherefore asking for a debit payment is not something unusual, its our rightThis made him very upset at which point it made us suspicious, because if you have the money in your account why would you have a problem paying us by debit unless the money is not thereHe did not or could not pay for the service by debit, and was very upset we would not receive his personal checkSo that’s when we gave him the option of a cash paymentWhich he was very upset he had to go to the bank and withdraw the cashHe made the payment and he went on his way
Before he left we noticed his RV rocked from side to side as you step in, so I mentioned it over the phone that he should have it checked out because it rocked more than the usual per our Tech ***This is something that could have contributed to him having to replace the windshield several times beforeHe then called a week later stating that a corner of the molding had popped outI expressed my concern and that I would send someone immediately to fix and tuck the molding back inAt first he said ok, then he called us back and said don’t worry about it that he would be taking to *** ** to get is servicedThis was back in ***He then gives us a call on *** *** ** screaming that his windshield had fell outI had to let him know he would get no where screaming at me, stating that‘s why I only accepted cash from himI asked him to calm down or I would not speak to himI personally could not understand how his windshield could just fall out unless something structurally was wrong with his RVI asked him what ever happened to *** **, he said they did nothing to it and that there was nothing wrong with his unitI tried to assure him if this was something we did then we would be responsibleWe hung up the phone I then started doing research on his unit and called *** *** ** *** because they are very familiar with units like his and known issuesThey in turn along with much documented information available on the internet, shows ***’s RV to have countless structural issues along with over other problemsOne of which is such a big problemThe Company that Manufactured his RV unit has gone out of business due to the high complaints of the whole unit one being the interior frame that surrounds the windshield on the inside of the unitAnother words this unit has major structure problems that must be addressed by an RV dealer that being *** ** who services his type of unitI explained to him that from the information available online and word from *** *** that it looks like he would need his structure stabilized at the front of the unit which only a body shop or RV service provider could handle
We are a professional glass installation company that prides it self in the service we do for over ** yearsWe professionally installed his windshield, but we will not be held responsible for unknown structural issues that his unit had or hasWe as installers look for rust or anything that is visible to us before the installation of any windshields and we bring it to the customers attention if we notice anything so it can be corrected prior to any installationThe only thing we noticed was the extreme rocking of the unitIn ***’s case we have no way of foreseeing his unit has or had known structural issues before his installationTherefore if a windshields falls in or out as he is stating, its not that we installed it incorrectly its that something has caused and put pressure on the windshieldMaybe the big heavy television that sits right over the windshield or something else as stated on the forums we found about his unitA professional RV body shop might be able to confirm his structural issuesWe are truly sorry for his issues, and hope he gets them resolved with an RV dealer soonHere is a link to what others have to say about the *** **’s
Sincerely,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]
Regards,
This matter has not been resolved. There was not on fact that was true that [redacted] stated in her letter.

I was not referred to Quick Fix by [redacted].  [redacted] referred Quick Fix.  Which was a big mistake.

I contacted Quick Fix Glass for my windshield repair.  [redacted] told me it was in stock and would only take a few days for the repair.  My motor home sat two week before the received the glass.  I was quoted a price. I filed my insurance and they sent me a check.  The windshield was not in stock and had to be ordered.  The initial insurance claim did not include freight, rain gutter and molding.  The check I received was for partial payment.  I deposited the check into my account.  When I received the final bill I would submit it to the insurance company.  [redacted] totally deceived [redacted] and I from day one.  The glass was never in stock and they do accept credit cards.  It really bothers me when an employee of a small glass company decides she knows more about the design of a motor home than the engineers which designed the unit.  The complaint about my motor home rocking in the parking lot of Quick Fix Glass is because the jacks were not down.    When we went to pick up our motor coach [redacted] told us to take the motor coach to [redacted]. [redacted] knew the windshield was going to fall out.  He told us he cut part of our cabinets and it should help.  Once again this is only a glass installer.  Why he felt he needed to cut our cabinets.  The truth is they botched this and stole our money.  I agree Quick Fix Glass is a glass installation company  and only a glass company.  They should never think of there company as anything more.  [redacted] should never judge a customers motor coach when she is not an expert in that field.  I still want my money back or a new windshield.
