This letter is in reference to your organization's letter of October 1, 2015 to 0xon Hill Quick Lube regarding the complaint made by [redacted]. I needed to gather information from employees at Oxon Hill in order to respond to the complaint.
Oxon Hill has been in business for over...

20 years, with very few complaints made. Our staff is experienced in the services that the company provides. On July 10, 2015, the manager of Oxon Hill Quick Lube, Mr. Abdullah S[redacted], evaluated [redacted]'s 2001 [redacted], Mr. S[redacted] stated that he saw an existing leak and asked [redacted] to come downstairs so that he could show it to her. Normally, the attendants do no have customers go to that area and that is only done when the attendant wants to show a customer an issue with their vehicle. Mr. S[redacted] told her that he recommended that she not drive the vehicle and that she needed to take the vehicle to a mechanic shop to have the leak fixed. He asked her if she still wanted the oil change service, to which she responded yes. As referenced in [redacted]'s complaint, additional oil above 5 quarts was used since her vehicle was very low on oil.As noted in [redacted]'s own complaint, "The attendant stated that I should take my car home and park it." However, as she further states, she drove the car to work the next day and to errands. According to her complaint, the odometer reading when she took the car for service was 106,900 and when it was checked by another mechanic on July 18, 2015, the odometer reading was 107,165. Thus, she drove the car a total of 265 miles after being informed that her vehicle had a leak and should be repaired and not driven until then.
Given that [redacted]'s vehicle had an existing issue, was notified by Oxon Hill Quick Lube staff of that existing issue and was even shown the existing leak and told that she needed to repair it and not drive it further until then, we have determined that [redacted] is not entitled to compensation from Oxon Hill Quick Lube.
If your office has further questions about this incident please contact Mr. Abdullah S[redacted] at ###-###-####.

Review: I went to get an oil change by a company that goes by the name of [redacted] Lube in Philadelphia, upon arrival a guy named [redacted] serviced me. I told him I wanted a basic oil change, he proceeded, he then told me I needed an oil fuel cleaner or my Engine will go. I still told him I was okay and I just wanted a basic oil change. I stood there an watched him fumble with my car I wasn't sure what he was doing. When he got done, my car alarm was going off and my windshield whispers were moving fast. I said to [redacted], What were you doing. I said is Everything okay? He said Yes everything's ok I'm the best mechanic but he looked nervous. He kept saying go pay just go pay. I came out from paying and he was back into the car. He saw me then got out and asked did I pay I said yes. He pulled my car out really fast and then gave me the keys. I got into the car and started to ride I felt stalling so I stopped and looked. My car radio said I needed a code in order to turn it on. I immediately went around the block and told him what was going on. I said everything in my car was functional and now it's not, I said my radio is saying I need a code. He says well go to the Honda dealer and get a code. I said why should I when everything was fine with my car. He said it must have happened when I tried to shut off your service engine light sometimes that happen. I said why would you do anything other then a basic oil Change. I said now my car is stalling and my radio is saying I need a code. He then told another mechanic to unplug my battery for ten minutes. When my battery was unplugged after ten minutes its plugged back up and my radio, clock, car charger, inside lights, air, basically everything in the inside is not working. He said to the guy unplug battery for a few more mins. I told him to get whomever is over him, like his supervisor. He got his manager and explained his side. The manager walked over to me wasn't trying to hear what I had to say, told the guy to plug the battery up and he said to me that couldn't possibly happen from his mechanic, he said its nothing we can do. I left and came back the next day to speak with someone over the manager, it was someone else there that lied and said he was a manager as well, he was just a basic worker. I calls the police just to get a report on what was happening. The guy lied to the police and said they would pay for the damages. I'm still trying to get justice till this day. Everything in the inside of my car is still not working and I don't have the money to get it fixed. I feel like I'm being mistreated because I'm a female. I went with a functional working car for a basic oil change and it turned into a complete rip off. I feel like they are only suppose to be licensed to do oil changes nothing other. I feel so defenseless, hurt and drained out keep trying to get them to pay for what they messed up.Desired Settlement: I just want my car back functional the way it was before I entered [redacted] Lube for an oil change. I want them to send my car to the Honda dealer to get fixed because I'm afraid to let them fix it.
