Quick Roofing began the work before providing the requested drawings as to the exact work that was contracted and thus agreed upon. After completion of their work, we found the job to be sub-standard and not neatly done. At that point we were told that if we wanted neat work, we would have to pay twice as much. As a new and growing church, we were greatly disapointed in the lack of integrity and poor professional exemplified by Quick Roofing.Desired Settlement: Due to the poor quality of work, we now bare the further expense of having the job done correctly. We therefore feel that we should be resolved of any financial obligations as it pertains to Quick Roofing.

Response:

I have reached out to Mr. [redacted] in regard to this complaint. This is the first I have heard that there is any issue on the work that we have done. We have a signed contract for what we did. I have requested an opportunity to look at what the complaint is. The building was in very poor condition due to supports being pulled out of the building. The work we did was to keep the building from collapsing. The finish out work was understood to be completed by the church. We would never shirk our responsibility. My salesman was shocked as well and had not felt there was dissatisfaction with the work that we have done. We have not been paid anything for the job at this point. I would like to see the work and understand the complaint that is being made. I have made myself available to walk the job. I want to be honest and ethical in all we do as a company. Please give me a time that is good to meet and we can solve this problem.

Review: After a few hail storms in Irving, Quick Roofing sent out sales contractors to my neighborhood. Our contractor was [redacted]; [redacted] guaranteed that no payments would come out on our end. (After spending several hours researching Quick Roofing and home insurance policies, I think there might be a chance that what [redacted] did was illegal.) After the roofing job was completed we received a bill, after taking a look at the bill we contacted [redacted] and [redacted] apologized and guaranteed to straighten out this mess. Two weeks latter, we receive yet, another bill. So I tried to call [redacted] again, but now his phone is no longer in service, and Quick Roofing says there is no way to reach him again and ignores [redacted]'s guarantees. Now Quick Roofing is claiming that the original contract states we owe them, and keeps ignoring what [redacted] guaranteed. Quick Roofing does not take responsibilities of their employees, nor do they do what they promise, unfortunately I made the mistake in choosing Quick Roofing. QR claims I owe $477.33 for a fence power wash and other fees. Fence power washing being $268.80. My fence has not been properly power washed. My fence looks exactly the same as it always did... Who would pay $268 for someone to spray water on their fence for 15mins?Desired Settlement: Take responsibility of your sales contractors! Train them adequately enough, so they don't go around telling lies and scamming innocent people. Don't hiring 10 random contractors every time there's a hail storm, who guarantee what they can't uphold, then skip town, and run away after getting their checks!

My desired outcome is not paying for what I don't owe. [redacted] guaranteed the additional work would be taken care of by Quick Roofing. I won't pay for something I wasn't aware of or an improperly done service; power fence washing done by quick roofing is a joke, what a scam. Spray water on a fence to make it look better for 90 days, says a QR rep over the phone, what a joke.

Quick Roofing is a family owned we have been in business for

almost 30 years we have great pride in our team member we have training on a

weekly basis over many topics in the industry but we always touch base on

customer service in each meeting. The integrity of our company is very

important to us. The people we have on staff the majority of them have been with

QR for years. As we explained to [redacted], [redacted] no longer works with Quick Roofing.

The only contact number we have with him is the same number that has been

disconnected. Unfortunately [redacted] never relayed the message to the office about

removing the charge for the power wash to the fence. Once the office talked to

[redacted] and he expressed that his father was not happy with the outcome of the

fence and we removed the charge from the account and gave him our apologies. At

that time [redacted] agreed he was satisfied with the outcome.

Thank You

Review: Because they have failed to install my roof on three scheduled dates, and are now attempting to bump me to a third price, I feel it is necessary to report them to the Revdex.com. It appears this is a professional con and should be handled as such.

In early June 2013 as I parked my car, I was approached by Mr. [redacted] a Sales and Claims Representative for Quick Roofing to inspect my roof for hail damage after a storm.

Mr. [redacted] found excessive hail damage and recommended I contact my insurance company to replace my roof and assured me he could replace my roof at no cost out of pocket.

I did and Mr. [redacted] was present when the insurance claim adjuster inspected my roof. The claim adjustor agreed my roof was damaged and required replacement. He wrote me a check and gave me the combined numbers for both my check and the depreciation amount available if I replaced my roof.

Mr. [redacted] was present at the time the adjuster made out my check, and I also provided a copy of the insurance adjuster’s paperwork to him.

Two days later, Mr. [redacted] provided me with three samples of shingles I could use on my roof. I selected one and we agreed it would be installed on my roof at no additional out of pocket expense to me. Only the initial insurance check and the depreciation check totaling $7,781.05, (First Price).

I selected the Tamko Heritage Vintage 50 year (Redwood) shingles with a Aqua Hyde Underlay Radiant barrier and Ridge Vent ventilation. We agreed on installing the Roof the following week, on a Tuesday, (First Date).

On Friday at 3:00 p.m. before the roof was to be installed Mr. [redacted] left a voicemail message stating if I wanted to have my roof installed on Tuesday, I needed to call him back before 5:00 p.m., (two hour window).

I didn’t make it; I called him back on Monday, (This was the First Reschedule).

Mr. [redacted] recanted and said he could not replace the roof with the radiant barrier and ridge vents at that price.

An estimate was generated #670804 (Second Price), for the amount of $10,360.86, (which required $7,774.90, the total amount of the initial insurance check of $5,161.50 plus the deductible check of $1,934.00, and an upgrade amount of $679.40), to be signed over to Quick Roofing. Notes included in the contract stated the deductible amount of $1,934.00 would be paid at $83.58 monthly at no interest beginning the first month after install.

($10,360.86 - $7,774.90) = a balance of $2,585.96 to be paid directly to Quick Roofing via an invoice direct to the insurance company. This amount to be billed directly to the insurance company is $34.59 less than the available amount of depreciation money the insurance company will provide.

I agreed to the renegotiated price and signed the estimate. I emailed a signed copy back to Mr. [redacted].

Mr. [redacted] later called me to schedule an install and we agreed on Wednesday June 19th, 2013, (Second Date). I didn't receive a callback from Quick Roofing on the 18th to confirm the installation.

It was claimed at that time that the color of shingle, Redwood, was a Northern color and had to be special ordered. Mr. [redacted] apologized and indicated he would special order the correct color and have it installed on our new agreed date of Wednesday June 28th, 2013, (Third Date).

I did not receive a call confirming the crew would be coming on June 27th. I called Mr. [redacted] on the morning of 28th and was informed after he double-checked with the office that the order had not arrived yet, "but was coming today". I was beginning to get the idea that Quick Roofing wasn't as reputable as they claimed. So I requested the crew that was supposed to install my roof, standby until the material arrived. Mr. [redacted] agreed, (Third time they failed to install my roof).

At 1:30 in the afternoon, I called Quick Roofing directly and inquired about my material. They also indicated the material was scheduled to arrive that day and they were still waiting for it. They made no mention of the crew, supposedly standing by.

At 2:00 in the afternoon, I called Mr. [redacted], he continued the charade that a crew was still on standby. I interrupted him and said, "I know there is no crew available, sitting on their hands until two o'clock in the afternoon." I called the office and they didn’t volunteer that information to reassure me. At that time, I indicated Mr. [redacted] should call me back when he had the material.

I received a call back on Friday June 28th, from Mr. [redacted] apologizing, but indicating that material still had not arrived. I didn’t ask if the crew was still on standby. I instructed Mr. [redacted] to call me when my material arrived.

As of Friday morning August 2nd, 2013, I had not heard from Mr. [redacted]. I called and left him a voice mail at 09:30 am. I called back at 11:00 am. At 12:02 I had not heard from Mr. [redacted] and called Quick Roofing directly and left a message on their voicemail. At 3:12 p.m. I called again and finally got through.

At first I spoke with Travis, who transferred me to the Franchise Manager. She indicated the project was placed on hold by Mr. [redacted]s Supervisor and he could call me back on Tuesday.

I indicated She was the Franchise Manager and should be able to made a decision on a single roof install. She indicated they were losing money on this deal and she could never approve a deal where they lose money, (Third Price).

I indicated no company on the planet performs every job at a profit. I also indicated I own Automotive Robotics here in Denton, Texas and I have shut-down my operation three times already. I have inconvenienced my customers as many times and would like an install date.

She indicated, she would have Mr. [redacted]s Supervisor call me on Tuesday. I indicated why would I want that? If you cannot authorize an install at a loss, then how could Mr. [redacted]s Supervisor?

She indicated that Mr. Armstrong the Owner would call me on Tuesday. I agreed and hung up. She was less then polite with her demeanor and tone indicated she will be less then polite when she communicates to Mr. Armstrong.

Because they have failed to install my roof on three scheduled dates, and are now attempting to bump me to a third price, I feel it is necessary to report them to the Revdex.com. It appears this is a professional con and should be handled as such.

Best personal regards,Desired Settlement: 1. They install the promised roof and materials at the original price and terms of $7,782.05.

2. They install the promised roof and materials at the second price and terms of $10,360.86.

3. They allow me to select a third party to install the identical roof and materials, and they pick up the balance above $7,782.05.

4. They allow me to select a third party to install the identical roof and materials, and they pick up the balance above $10,360.86.

5. They walk and you drop their rating to F and in likely to commit fraud.

Response:

I met with Mr. [redacted] last week on Wednesday. This was caused by a breakdown between my sales rep and Mr. [redacted] and I am truly sorry for it. The job was rejected by our Vice President of Sales due to financing of upgrade that would take over 2.5 years to pay back. We were unable to offer any financing on this job. We received communication that paying the full amount owed upon completion was not possible. Our office canceled the job as a result of this so it was not on schedule at all. After speaking to Mr. [redacted] we agreed that he would pay the first check of 5161.50 and 2578.82 plus 200.00 for facia repair upon completion. When the depreciation is released he will pay 2620.55 from the recoverable depreciation. The roof is scheduled to be installed next Monday. Again, I am sorry for the confusion.

Review: We replaced our roof due to hail storms. We are not pleased with the outcome. Please see below timeline. Let me start out with our contractor [redacted] was nothing but professional and was really helpful and responsive. We are not complaining about him. His service was 5stars! It is the roofing company he used that we have issues with.

7/11/2012: Roof was replaced

7/24/2012: Sent first notification that the roof was extremely wavy, and needs to be repaired. Sent 8 photos showing the waves, and how bad they were.

7/30/2012: Received an email from [redacted] stating that the repair had been completed, but the the roof was still not repaired. Forwarded the email to [redacted] (Quick Roofing sales associate), and letting him know that they had only repaired some of the waves. The shingles they repaired it with were the incorrect color. Looks like a quilt.

8/1/2012: Received an email from [redacted] stating that the repair had been completed, but the the roof was still not repaired.

8/8/2012: Received an email from [redacted] stating that the repair request had been entered into the system.

8/14/2012: Received an email from [redacted] stating that the repair had been completed, but the the roof was still not repaired.

8/31/2012 - Had another roofing company come out and look at our roof. He said the roof looks fine but the shingles they used are different colors. Our roof looks like a patchwork quilt!

My husband and I had to take off a few days from work to settle all of this. The people quick roofing would send out didn't speak English so it was hard to communicate. This has been a stressful process.

I would have liked them to use the correct color of shingles and make our roof look uniform like they were supposed to to begin with. We want our bill cleared of any charges that we may owe them so we can have another roofing company come and fix the shingle color. Dealing with Quick Roofing has been nothing but stressful and we do not want to do business with them from this date forward. We are going to sell our house in a year and honestly I would never buy a house with a patchy roof. It looks like we did it ourselves! If they cannot adjust our bill, then. I am open to other solutions.

I can send over pictures if I need to. The right side, the top and the front of our roof have the incorrect shingle color.Desired Settlement: We would like a billing adjustment (to owe no more to quick roofing) so that we can use the rest of the insurance money to have another roofer replace the shingles to the correct color.

Review: When I received the estimate it clearly stated that If they had to redeck the entire roof would be $1650.00 and I was charged $1980.00 for this.

I received a bid from Josh Leach with Quick Roofing home office Kennedale, tx listing price and stating that if they had to redeck the whole home would cost total of $1650.00. Now the bill sent to me which I paid was for $1980.00 and I believe I am owed $330.00. I sent a registered letter to the company stating same but never received a reply. The estimate no. was 661733 dated 6-21-2012. The invoice # was [redacted] dated 7-25-2012. The amount was paid by check. It was $6330.00.Desired Settlement: $330.00 overcharged.

Business

Response:

I do apologize to you for the invoicing error. I did pull

your contract and found the notes at the bottom of the page that Josh had said

to charge you 1650.00. When the contract was pulled over in our system that was not seen and you were over charged.

I have not received your register letter as of today. If in the future you have

any questions please call me directly. I will be mailing you a refund check

today for the amount of $333.00.

Review: On 4/18/12 my wife and I contracted Quick Roofing to re do our roof after a severe hailstorm damage we received. Quick Roofing promised many things...The clean up of our roof debris to the yard being covered and for the nails to be picked up. Quick Roofing was contracted under the terms that due to our distrust to local roofers, we wanted a quality service from this reputable company who was contracted by us to do the actual job. Only to find that Quick Roofing brokered this contract to other local contractors. Needless to say, this is the reason we have more leaks now in our home than ever before. Quick Roofing has come out a total of 8 times thus far to fix problematic issues with the repair work they performed............And now, there is yet another leak in our roof plus previous leaks that they came out to repair...well the stains are back in full force. And if that is not enough, I went into the attic to check and see where these problems may be coming from only to find a duct completely seperated from the 6 inch PVC piping. I've had enough! I have been called also by Quick Roofing for final payment checks from our insurance company. However the document that we need to sign in order for our insurance company to release final funds is contingent to the work being completed and us signing off on it. I will not sign off on anything until this job is completed and completed the right way. I no longer have any confidence in Quick Roofing seeing that they never are the ones who do the job....Its always some other person contracted by them. I am sorry, but that is not what we signed up for.Desired Settlement: I am requesting partial refund apart from ACTUAL SUPPLIES USED in shingling our roof. Apart from that, I want a refund on everything else in order to get another contractor who will not sub contract to someone else the job for repairing all this mess.

Quick Roofing did my Roof on one of the hottest days here in Texas..It was 105+ outside...They did a Great job and stayed until it was finished...Have no fear and give them a call....

Review: The sale rep , has not finished the work in a timely manner, has not provided me with a copy of the sales contract, has not replied to request from my insurance company, has not been over to my house to check on the work that has been done on my house to see if it is satisfactory, cannot communicate with the workers doing repairs on my house because they speak Spanish and I do not.Desired Settlement: I need a copy of the contract so I can forward it to State Farm and I want the work finished in a timely manner

Review: Invoiced for work that was not done.

Quick Roofing replaced our roof and there were other repairs due to hail damage, some painting, gutters repair, screens to be replaced etc. the only thing that happened was the roof got replaced. Then they Invoiced for all the other repairs that were not done. The Invoice shows everything item by item with costs, they were paid for the work they did and I did not pay for the work that was not done. They still want to be paid for work that was never done and claim that I agreed for the work not to be completed in lieu of upgrades etc. (upgrades that are already on the invoice with a price) When I requested that the invoice be adjusted I was then told I was being unreasonable and that I didn't understand our original deal and the invoice was just a formality and the total price was what I owed! After a few months of banter that made no sense whatsoever they agreed to adjust the invoice accordingly and in doing so took away an ad credit for $1056.00, deducted $1432.92 which is the total cost of the five items of work that was never done, then added $1434.92 for upgrade to 30 year shingle! The very first item on both invoices is for 30 year shingles. I now have two invoices both with the same invoice number, same date and due date with the same sub total of $7363.94 -$4051.62 payment they received. the first one has ad credit of $1056.00 and balance due is $2256.32, the new one that was adjusted with my new total is now $3312.32!!!!!!!!! and below is part of my recent conversation via text with Mr. [redacted] verbatim,

[redacted]:I made an invoice that a reasonable person would accept.

Me:Sounds easy doesn't it, except you didn't do all the work and now you still want to be paid for it! I have all the paperwork.

Me:Had all the work been done I probably would have just paid it and been done!

[redacted]:I'll take that as your final answer

Me: But it wasn't and now you still want to get paid and you are giving me a bunch of B.S. reasons why! You were paid for the work you did its not like I am not paying you for work that was done and you can't seem to give me a reasonable explanation when I emailed you a breakdown with your numbers! So my final answer is still the same!

[redacted]: I dwell within the confines of reason. Maybe if I took a long enough time to send you an invoice that you liked then maybe you would pay your final bill. I don't know but the bottom line is you have not held up to your end of the bargain.

Me:Bull$#@% and you know it! You dwell within the confines of an industry that uses deception and fraud as standard practice and I am done arguing with you about it! If everything you say is true then call State Farm and tell them I didn't pay you!

[redacted]:I requested a lien to be filed on your house. I believe that was the next step for me I am out of ideas.

I need to stop our conversation here because I lost my temper and said some things that were un-professional, not suitable for this page according to Revdex.com guidelines, I do have the whole conversation start to finish, un altered and available for anyone to see if they would like. Not to mention the countless phone calls rec. by both my wife and my self from both Mr. [redacted] and staff demanding payment and trying to intimidate us with third party collection agency type tactics. Overall the situation is really sad because we chose Quick because of [redacted], out of several others he was the obvious choice, some of his competitors didn't even try to hide the fact they were full of itDesired Settlement: I would like for them to adjust the Invoice according to the work that has been done, I don't want to cheat Mr. [redacted] or Quick out of money that they deserve nor do I want to be cheated. I will abide by a third party decision as long as it is un-biased and is on my side! Lol just kidding..I would like them to go away and accept the fact that they are not going to get paid for work they didn't do! Not now, not then, not ever!

Business

Response:

We never want to be paid for work that we have not done. We did replace some gutters and we replaced some windows. I show that the office credited $1434.92 worth of work that we contracted on but were unable to schedule due to trade contractors not being able to meet with homeowner to get decisions on specifics so that we could proceed. The original contract was for $7,363.94 minus adjustments of $1,434.92 = $1,877.40 due minus a discount provided to Mr and Mrs [redacted] for $1,056.00 that applies when the bill is paid = total due to Quick Roofing of $821.40. I show many calls were made by my office in regard to this to try and get everything reconciled but we were not receiving return communication. We have adjusted invoice for work not performed and show that the $821.40 will pay the remainder of the bill in full.

Consumer

Response:

They did not replace any windows or any gutters! The only thing that happened is a guy came out with a tape measure and measured the windows for screens, the work that was not completed was not replace windows and gutters! Futhermore this is the first time I have seen any numbers that reflect an amount different from the original Invoice and the Invoice that was supposed to be adjusted with the correct total according to the work that was done and judging by your response you have no idea what was done and what was not! A very simple solution to this whole thing is to send an Invoice that reflects the work you've done with the cost of that work! It will simplify the process and it has been used for many years often producing favorable results for both parties!

Once again I would like nothing more than to have this issue resolved and if what you say is true than where is the Invoice?!! If you had an Invoice that was adjusted why not send me a copy instead of calling my wife?! If you want to resolve the issue and you are not trying get paid for something you did not do and/or collect fees for others that did not show up try using the system I outlined above...You could even attach the new invoice to this complaint and I will then attach the two that I have received and let the Revdex.com or whom ever wants to look at it decide! Who knows maybe some one other than myself and the many others that have looked at this might understand your system of arbitrary numbers and how they relate to things that didn't happen. I could go on for days about how I am still baffled by this top secret billing technique that according to Quick Roofing dwells in the world of reason but I have better things to do with my time!

This past spring (2013) my roof was totaled by a hail storm. Quick Roofing had replaced my roof 12+ years earlier and I was pleased. So, when I saw a Quick Roofing truck on my block I was pleased to flag them down for an estimate.

That is when I met Joe Janssen. Joe was very helpful throughout the entire process. If you are looking for a worry free turn key resolution to your roofing needs Joe is the guy to call (214) 564-6179.

Revdex.com

Response:

I believe there was a misunderstanding in regard to what was expected from our tarping. We offer to prevent weather damage to potential customers. Typically the insurance company will reimburse the homeowner for this effort as they are expected by the insurance company to prevent further damage to the interior. I am sorry for the confusion in regard to this. We try to be fair in all we do. [redacted] should have drawn up a contingent agreement based on the roof being completed by Quick Roofing. It is costly to perform repairs and we do not typically tarp homes to place signs in the yard. [redacted] felt like he was working to earn the business. In the end he did not. I will have my office delete the invoice and we will not pursue collections in this matter. If I need to do anything else regarding this please let me know.

Folks,

Never ever had to replace a roof on my home before so I wasn't sure what to expect. A friend referred me to Joe Janssen at Quick Roofing. I had them put my new roof on and replace my vents with WhirlyBird Windturbines and also replace my rain gutters, the roof on my shed, comb out the external airconditioning vents that were damaged by hail, install additional soffit vents to improve attic circulation which the new upgraded shingles required, and paint the new soffit vents and rain gutters. They also re-roofed my shed to match the house and repaired window stripping that was damaged by hail. All of this was done for what my insurance company gave me and in the event that the insurance company didn't give enough, Joe Jannsen and quick roofing worked with my insurance company to file a supplemental claim. Joe and is entire company are to be commended for superior service. I would recommend them to anybody without reservation. Thanks to Joe and Quick Roofing.
