I would not live here again and I would certainly not recommend it to anyone else.
Our apartment wasn't cleaned before we moved in, but I don't mind a little cleaning, the ants are annoying, but we found the "TERRO Ant Killer Liquid Ant Baits" worked well for us, the fake security gate at the front doesn't do anything for security and just causes a backup when people crowd around it waiting to get in (more of an inconvenience than anything), but the staff seemed nice when we moved in.
What ultimately ruined this experience for me was what they called their "revenue enhancement program" which I was told was the reason our rent went up by $400/month. When we moved in we were told by Liliana, the leasing agent, that while they can only sign leases for 6, 9, or 12 months, that extending our lease wouldn't be a problem as long as I notified them at least 60 days prior to the lease expiration. However, when the time came (we gave them 5 months notice) Liliana said they no longer offer lease extensions. Liliana referred me to her boss, [redacted], who eventually got me in touch with her boss, [redacted], who eventually explained that they are now part of a "revenue enhancement program" where maximizing short term profit is the only priority. Long story short, our rent went up by 35% (a little over $400/month).
Ultimately, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, certainly not if you wanted to live there for more than a year at an affordable rate.
