Quiet Zone Auto Care Reviews (2)

As she stated she elected to have her converter replaced She did not originally ask for or receive any diagnostic or troubleshooting from Quiet Zone We did indeed replaced the rear catalyst on her systemWe did not realize at the time that the car had two converters, both of which needed to be replaced Since we did not diagnose the problem, but it was checked out at another shop and the customer requested a converter, we did what was requested. When it was discovered that this did not fix her problem, we called and asked if she would like for us to troubleshoot the issue We did find multiple codes related to failure of her cam solenoids and gave her an estimate for their replacement. It happened that the cam solenoids did not fix the problem, so we removed them and reinstalled the original parts We did not charge for these parts or labor and we refunded the money (after the fact) we charged her for troubleshooting because we did not find the root problem($91)After I spoke to her on the phone I did some additional research and discovered there are 2, not 1, catalysts on this vehicle I called her back and told her that we would make her a great deal on the converter since we did not find this out when she was originally in the shop.We are still willing to credit her the cost she paid for the first converter (parts and labor) against the additional one that is still needed We would even be willing to waive the additional labor costSo far she has refused any help from us.She paid originally $which included the $we later refundedThe cost for parts and labor for the other converter that she still ness is we are willing to give her a credit for the remaining balance of $against the parts and labor installation of the other converter That means she would pay only $to have the work she needsThis cost is equal to the original and total cost for the front converter aloneWe respectfully submit that this is a fair proposal[redacted]

As she stated she elected to have her converter replaced.  She did not originally ask for or receive any diagnostic or troubleshooting from Quiet Zone.  We did indeed replaced the rear catalyst on her system. We did not realize at the time that the car had two converters, both of...

which needed to be replaced.  Since we did not diagnose the problem, but it was checked out at another shop and the customer requested a converter, we did what was requested. When it was discovered that this did not fix her problem, we called and asked if she would like for us to troubleshoot the issue.  We did find multiple codes related to failure of her cam solenoids and gave her an estimate for their replacement. It happened that the cam solenoids did not fix the problem, so we removed them and reinstalled the original parts.  We did not charge for these parts or labor and we refunded the money (after the fact) we charged her for troubleshooting because we did not find the root problem. ($91)After I spoke to her on the phone I did some additional research and discovered there are 2, not 1, catalysts on this vehicle.  I called her back and told her that we would make her a great deal on the converter since we did not find this out when she was originally in the shop.We are still willing to credit her the cost she paid for the first converter (parts and labor) against the additional one that is still needed.  We would even be willing to waive the additional labor cost. So far she has refused any help from us.She paid originally $542.12 which included the $91 we later refunded. The cost for parts and labor for the other converter that she still ness is 867.70.  we are willing to give her a credit for the remaining balance of $451.12 against the parts and labor installation of the other converter.  That means she would pay only $416.58 to have the work she needs. This cost is equal to the original and total cost for the front converter alone. We respectfully submit that this is a fair proposal.[redacted]
