Quietwoods RV Sales & Service Reviews (9)

On June 17, 2015 our new service manager, [redacted], called and talked to Mrs. [redacted] regarding this complaint. The previous warranty crew is no longer working here. [redacted] will be getting in contact with her again. They are working on fixing the problem.Sincerely,[redacted]

Review: Purchased 2014 Salem Hemisphere 365 QBQ 1/13. The unit was delivered to our permanent site in 5/13. At that time many issues were recognized. Some issues have been resolved in the last year, but many are still needing attention. I have contacted Quietwoods RV several times via emails and phone calls with no response back.

1. Cabinet door in kitchen is scratched

2. Ladder on back of camper is cracked, needs to be replaced

3. Kitchen table legs are several tarnished

4. Toilet leaks when flushed.

5. Carpet is several matted down after 2 weekends of use. We have contacted Quietwoods and Salem regarding this issue and both say this is wear and tear. I am totally dissatisfied with this answer because carpet should hold up for more than 2 weeks. Salem offered use $300 to replace carpet with est from Quietwoods at appox $800 to replace. I feel they should stand behind their product and replace the carpet.

6. We have had some many more issues- none of our doors closing properly, kitchen table wobbles, awning not closing properly, wall with unit controls on it bulging out. We had someone fix all of these issues for us because of the time frame we have been waiting for Quietwoods to arrive, which has been 1 year and 4 months later and they have been to camper 3 times.

7. More issues that I have not heard anything about, but have reported to Quietwoods. Molding around counter top in bathroom has let loose. Molding around table has severe gap in it.Desired Settlement: I would like all the above listed issues resolved in a timely manner.

Review: I purchased a Park Model home from this company and notified them of damages within the first week of Delivery and they have failed to do anything about it. The Park model was delivered to us on May 22, 2013 to Rexford Montana. There were 5 holes in the cabinet in the bathroom, the fridge was damaged, the thermostat was broken. They sent a new thermostat however when put in electrician found the furnace was connected incorrectly causing the new thermostat to blow. The furnance was reconnected and new thermostat sent and working properly however the AC is not working to the thermostat. The company refused to pay any electrician costs. Upon further notice the recliner chair was patched due to a tear, I requested a new chair and sent pics. The refrigerator leaked for weeks, contacted Whirlpool and when he took it out noticed more damages to the fridge as if it was dropped. Requested a new fridge from Whirlpool however they claim the complaint needed to be within the first 30 days. As I made the complaint to Quiet woods and they failed to do anything about it Whirlpool no longer supplies. I requested either a new fridge or a cheque so I could purchase as the distance between Montana and Wisconsin would be high in delivery costs. This company has failed to respond to any of my emails. I have cc'd the owner of the company and no response. I have asked for some type of wood glue to repair the holes in cabinet and no response. The microwave also blew out and again required an electrician to fix the wires that were wired incorrectly. Ir has been a constant battle with them from the beginning. I have emailed Fairmont homes requesting a response as they have no phone number and again no response.Desired Settlement: I would like the Fridge replaced with a new one, a new recliner chair an electrician to come out and fix the connections with the AC/thermostat and the holes fixed in the cabinet. There is also a slit in the bathroom floor which I have not discussed with them however would like this also repaired or material for me to repair.

Quietwoods RV Sales & Service

Had quiet woods come out 3 times to fix my elect re I powered awning that does not always distend properly. First 2 times the serviceman said was a screw needing adjustment. They supposedly fixed issue, but a few days later ( each time) problem returns. 3 time, serviceman said it was a damaged material issue w awning material, but could not find it show me any thing to suggest that. Court time same as first 2...said it was a loose connection/ scree that AGAIN they claimed to fix. 3 days later problem re occurs. Service mgr. Claims now that the awning needs realigning. Service mgr accused me of improper use of awning control.( It's a push button,no way to misuse it). Service mgr. Neenah location has been rude, disrespectful, and was not acting honestly with me. I was promised a call back on a Monday morning. On Friday having not received a call I called his location. He claimed they called me 4 times during that time frame. My calm records show no . from quietwoods in the time frame mentioned . I have had warranty work performed and items replaced ,and was not given any paperwork ( warranty on Product ) for these items, although I asked several times for them.. Service/ repair work has been overall unsatisfactory and as a result I have had to have service man return to re do the job. We paid over a thousand dollars for this extended service contract. Now that we are making use of it,wuiet woods Neenah and it's service mgr. Mike are very reluctant to provide competent service . They don't return calls that they promise to return. They don't furnish paperwork on new/ replaced equipment ,repairs have been poorly done. Instruction sheets for stereo that was replaced( glossy paper leg diagrams on usage) were taken by repair person, and not returned to me. The r.v. is great ,the service department at the Neenah location and it's mgr. Mike, leave much to be desired. You can buy a good r.v. anyplace..BUT IF YOU WANT QUALITY SERVICE EORK DONE,AND YOU VALUE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE...Do NOT GO TO NEENAH QUIETWOODS R.V. Mike the service mgr. had shown me on many occasions now, that service in his department is not done well. It has been my experience that a company's employees are only as good as it's leadership. It appears that us true at QUIETWOODS NEENAH . I can be reached at [redacted] if you wish to contact me about the dealership and it's many many service horrors that I have not even told of here

Review: Purchased an Open Range travel trailer 308BHS from Quietwoods RV this spring 2014. Camper was found to have substantial corrosion across the bottom as well as corrosion on stabilizers and stairs. Their fix initially was to paint over the rust. Still have corrosion and rust under entire trailer. LED lighting went out immediately, was fixed. All 3 slide outs had to have motor switches replaced because of failure. One motor needed to be replaced as well because it ground its gears off from bad switches. May of this year furnace would not run. Furnace still not working even after technician put in a new "electronic board". Furnace worked for 3 hours and now stopped. Can't use this camper with my family as everything is broken or breaking. Still waiting on parts for corrosion damage and no furnace. The entire camper is falling apart or needs to have everything replaced. Very minimal response from service at QuietWoods RV and Open Range points the finger back to the dealership.Desired Settlement: I no longer wish to use this camper or this brand. I would be willing to get into a different model that Quietwoods has but not this brand or model. I also want full value of this camper, not a used trade in value. The issues with this camper were from day 1 and not due to usage.

Review: We purchased our camper thru Quietwoods in April of 2014. Since we bought it we have had nothing but problems with it. Asked them to come fix which the only thing they did was fix the leak in awning which a 5 year couldve did that chaulking. There is numerous things that need fixing! It seems to the point that the camper should be under the lemon law. I cant get them here to do it. It is now june of 2015 and we stopped there the other day and they had nothing to offer. The couch broke last yr and they were suppose to order last year and lost it. Now they said they ordered another but that was 2 months ago. Fed up with excuses and management not getting it done. The warranty manager laughed at me when I said I would get ahold of you. No promises are made to take care of this. You can ask anyone in campground..They wont buy a camper there. Please help to get this resolved. I have no where else to turn. Tried calling Forest River but all you get is one operator to another and then get an answering machine. Still waiting for a call from them. They want to sell those campers then they should really hold to the promise to warranty their campers and I'm not getting that.Desired Settlement: New camper or fix what needs done in a timely matter. Promise to be there to fix in a timely matter not like now that we are waiting months.

Review: We purchased a used 2012 Heartland North Trail on May 28th, 2014. Took it camping the next day, only went 10 miles away, and when inspecting the travel trailer upon return I noticed the rear tires looked different than the front so I crawled underneath to investigate. Found out the rear axle was bent and the tires were bald on the inside tread. The trailer was sold to me in this condition. They never mentioned this problem or anything. Multiple other issues arose during the "delivery walk through", ex. AC vents blocked, bump in floor not repaired, door spring/hydralic not repaired. These problems should have been addressed after trade-in during a safety inspection before putting it on the lot for sale. I contacted the sales person twice and recevied no response. I then contacted the dealer through their website and after days of phone tag spoke with their Service/Sales Manager. All he would do was evaluate the reason for tire wear. No apology, no information as to how much this will cost me, or if they will even fix the problem. I decided it was not worth the cost to drive an hour back up there to "evaluate" something they should have identified upon trade-in and fixed before trying to sell it. I took the trailer to a local RV Service Center to fix it. They replaced both axles and replaced all four tires. When they were in the process of removing the front axle they determined the brakes were inoperable. They fixed this problem as well. So in conclusion, I was sold a travel trailer with a bent axle, bald tires and brakes that were inoperable. What a safety hazard! I did send Quietwoods RV a copy of the receipt via email for axle repair and request they pay for one axle, 2 tires and one hour of labor. They have yet to respond. I then sent a copy and request via Postal Service and have yet to hear from them.Desired Settlement: Pay for the replacement axle, 2 new tires and one hour of labor.

1 replacement axle = $209.74

2 replacement tires = $75.18 ea. ($150.36 total)

1 hour of labor = $90.00

Grand Total = $450.10

Response:

These were issues you deliberately ignored and still put it on the lot to sell. Bent axle, bald tires and inoperable brakes do not need to be evaluated, these would have been picked up and fixed prior to selling. You gave me absolutely no direction as to what you would do other than an evaluation. That is not an option of what you would do to fix your safety errors. Who knows what else you would have covered up during your "evaluation". This is just absolutely not an acceptable practice as a business.

[redacted] We responded to your concerns and offered to evaluate your issues. You agreed to this and then changed your mind. You now chose to have this unit repaired else where. Once again this was your choice. We therefore can not honor your request for compensation.

I have MS and my daughter has a broken ankle. We are preparing to purchase a travel trailer within the next few weeks. So we stopped into Quietwoods to look around, as they had a couple trailers that were priced great. I specifically asked for help as we are mobility impaired and then we're told to follow the salesman. We were and it just became a huge painful chore to walk there - he took us to the furthest back part of the lot - by foot. When I stated "you all need a better system for your handicapped clients" the salesman snapped at me "EVERYONE WANTS A HANDOUT DONT THEY?!" Are.You.Kidding.Me?!?!?! VERY POOR BUSINESS ETHICS and even less human compassion. I didn't ask for a single thing to be handed to me but let me tell you ONE THING QUIETWOODS! YOU HAVE NOT EARNED NOR DO YOU DESERVE MY BUSINESS!! NO HANDOUTS GIVEN!!!

2012 took delivery of new 2013 Forest River 36BHBS / told we would have an extensive review of the camper upon delivery / day of delivery we had a lot of storms / When the driver arrived (late) he laughed and said he was surprised the camper made it in one piece, commented on how the camper was whipping all over the hwy / He mentioned this was the first delivery he ever did / I asked him about the training / He told me to hold on….called Quietwoods and then gave me a 15 min tour / one point he placed his hands on the electric awning and pulled himself up to look at the top of the camper!?!? / I asked what the small unit was that was lying on the counter –told it was an IPOD / No joke / I later found out that the item was the remote for the awning and jacks / told the driver I noticed the stove door was defective, back desk edging broken, and the refrigerator was REALLY noisy
Day 1 Reported to Quietwoods that the refrigerator was very loud / Each time a tech came out - - to replace the tweaked patio doors that wouldn’t slide, to repair the stove door, to fix the back desk, to repair the back closet doors that wouldn’t slide, to fix the shower that was leaking and the still unrepaired bathroom door that won’t stay open, etc. - - they looked at the refrigerator / That was never fixed either
October 2012 Quietwoods did the winterizing / We opened the camper June 2013 / July 2013 noticed the refrigerator wasn’t cooling / The refrig was plugged in a total of 7 months! / July 2013 called Quietwoods Sturgeon Bay told them the refrigerator was not working / Quietwoods was really rude told me I needed to deal with their other location as they were closer / I contacted the other location….told Quietwoods Sturgeon Bay would have to help / Called Quietwoods Sturgeon Bay back - now told they couldn’t help because they were in an audit and their records were at the accountants / I personally called Whirlpool / Whirlpool said they would have someone come take a look / Over the next several months a tech came out several times / Whirlpool authorized and sent $900+ in parts / It was then determined that the parts sent were not the cause of the problem / The service order reflected that the problem was a Yoder Loop leak - unrepairable / The refrigerator was deemed JUNK / I contacted Quietwoods back / I was told by the tech this problem could have been caused by excessive transportation, tweaked the entire refrigerator
September 2013: Sent email to [redacted] at Quietwoods / Told Forest River had a part on order and everything was going to be covered under warranty / REALLY? - the refrig was already deemed junk
9-25-2013: [redacted] requested I provide her with our unit info because their records were at the accountants / Really?
10-3-2013: Sent email to [redacted] – status? [redacted] responded that she was waiting on Forest River
Email sent to [redacted] 10-18-2013 / told they are waiting for Forest River
Email sent to [redacted] November and December No response
January 2014 / sent an email through the Quietwoods website / 1-27-2014 received a call from [redacted] at Quietwoods - asked me to send him an email explaining the problem
1-27-2014: [redacted] requested service order info from tech
3-06-2014: Email to Gary no response
3-19-2014: [redacted] responded he was waiting for tech service order / REALLY? / I personally provided that in January / Per [redacted] he couldn’t read what I sent and requested stuff direct from tech in March / REALLY?
At the end of March received a call from [redacted] indicating that [redacted] from Quietwoods was personally going to handle this problem but unfortunately [redacted] was going out of town and won’t return until April 11th.
April 2nd called Quietwoods / asked for [redacted] / told he was out but would be in the next day / Per [redacted] wouldn’t be in until April 11th?!!?
April 14th Email from [redacted] that [redacted] was working with the Forest River
Now I went to the factory direct / They had NO RECORD of Quietwoods reaching out regarding the refrigerator!!! / While I was working on a resolution direct AND received confirm from Forest River for a full replacement ($700)…..[redacted] at Quietwoods sent me an email that Forest River ONLY authorized $300! / I now have a working refrigerator thanks to Forest River / My 2013 Quietwoods camper still has a towel under the bathroom door to keep it open / STAY AWAY FROM QUIETWOODS!!!!!!!
