This is a small, but sad story… I previously purchased a [redacted] motor from Richardson's Boat Yard Also, I have had my other [redacted] marine motor serviced exclusively at this facilityThis summer, I brought the [redacted] in for an oil change and regular maintenance (I paid about $for this service)A few weeks later, (the motor was never put to use; it had only been stored in the garage), I noticed that there was oil leaking from the engine onto my garage floorI brought back the [redacted] to Richardson's Boat Yard hoping that it would be covered under warrantyNopeThe employee (***) was unable to help and told me that there was a serious problem and that the cost to repair the motor exceeded the value of the motorAnd this is the best part of my experience… An older fellow (who did not even introduce himself), put my [redacted] OUTSIDE of the door and said (pointing to the motor) “your motor is outside”This was said rudely to me and I took this as a way of saying ‘get out of my business’This is a perfect example of bad service and rude behavior from a business to the customerI’m not sure if this was done because of my accent (I am a naturalized U.Scitizen), but either way, I left very offendedIn short, I experienced zero loyalty - even though I purchased this product from this dealerNo service warranty: I asked three times and never received any document or explanationI experienced terrible, terrible, rude and xenophobic behavior from this businessI have lived in Maine for years and have NEVER experienced anything like this from any business ever
