I am rejecting this response because: Quinn motors is not honoring their warranty to fix the motor as stated in the warrantyWhat they told me is they will go to a junkyard and change out the motor with one from a junk yard but they will not fix itEnigine problem is called piston slap and the pistons need to be replaced per inspection by Subaru dealerQuinn motors saying dealer stated engine doesn't need to be replaced is a fabrication of the truth I have the inspection showing what the problem is that being the pistions per year Subaru veteran techday warranty specifically states pistoons in warranty and that is the problemThey just don't want to honor warranty and are falsely advertising their warranty it is nothing they stand behindI just want my money back and they can have the car backNot at a 20% surchargewhile discussing issue with Quinn motors I said this is not how you treat customers he says why you won't be a customer after this quotethey are crooks

Customer bought Subaru Legacy with 79K miles for $5,Drove it back to North DakotaOur day Limited warranty states that any internal part fails the engine when it causes to not run operate anymore we will fix the repairs at our shopHe read and signed our warranty. Now this car and
most Subaru's have a tick in the engineSame noise when customer heard when purchasing the carCustomer car is running and driving just fineI even offered to pay to get it inspected at the nearest Subaru DealerSubaru dealer per Ryan said it does not need a motor - compression is all good but does have a piston slap which is common and the term piston slap is a description to describe the sound Subaru engines make when coldTo fix the noise which is not a 100% guarantee will need to have then engine torn apart which makes no sense for us to pay $3,forWe gave customer a few options, even said if he think it needs a motor bring back here and we will put in a used motor inHe wants us to pay Subaru to change out pistons which we are not doingWe offered many reasonable offers to customer but he wants us to basically put a brand new motor in for him that he bought a used car. There are many internet discussion on the subaru tick, piston slap, etcHere are some links I noted down belowhttp://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/66-problems-maintenance/144105-did-you-...

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2015/06/17) */
Mr.[redacted] purchase this vehicle 3 months ago with no warranty express or implied. He was offered an extended warranty contract at the time of finance and declined warranty and gap services. Since are last contact was 3 months ago and tried to...

resolve his issue with the TPMS (tire monitor) we have not heard from him since. The vehicle was is good running condition at time of sale. Mr.[redacted] even had it at VW dealer at told us that there was a bad vacuum line and we took care of it. As of now we are not refunding any money to the customer, we shouldn't be liable for any repair work Mr.[redacted] choose to fix. Any vehicle at this age 10 year older with 100K+ miles does need maintenance.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 13, 2015/06/22) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have no paper work about an extended warranty or gap services. Quinn Motors stated the following when I bought the vehicle: 1. They gave it a 120 point inspection 2. "mechanically runs and drives great" 3. "All the VW services and required updates had been done". 4. The owner of Quinn Motors loved the vehicle so much that he kept it and drove it for 2 years and never had a problem.
The following are the maintenance items that Quinn Motors claims I choose to fix: 1. check engine light- bad catalytic converts 2. rear drive shaft failed 3. air conditioning compressor bad 4. both fuel pumps failed 5. broken air conditioning electrical plug 5. radiator support cover broken and held together with glue 6. the front differential failed and had to be replaced 7. front struts were bad 8. the transmission failed This list is only a summary of all the things that have failed or broken. All of these repairs happened in less than 1790 miles.
Quinn motors did not try and resolve the TPMS issue. The last time I spoke to them about the TPMS issue they stated " we are done" and hung up on me. The vehicle was not in good running condition at time of sale. I had it a VW dealer to get the TPMS issue fixed. That's when the VW dealer told me that you can not replace batteries in the sensors and that they would all have to be replaced. Quinn motors told me that they had replaced the batteries in the sensors and they just need to be replaced. VW wanted $915.00 to replace the sensors. Quinn motors offered $220.00 to fix the TPMS. They lied about what had been done and how much it would cost to repair them. They attempted to have after market sensors installed and were told by the company they hired that it wouldn't work. It was while at the VW dealer that I was informed that the "new" alternator that Quinn motors told my they had installed was in fact a junk yard alternator.
Quinn motors has lied and misrepresented the condition of the vehicle and what repairs they preformed. They have refused to try and resolve this issue. A court date has been set for the end of July.

I am rejecting this response because:
Quinn motors is not honoring their warranty to fix the motor as stated in the warranty. What they told me is they will go to a junkyard and change out the motor with one from a junk yard but they will not fix it. Enigine problem is called piston slap and the pistons need to be replaced per inspection by Subaru dealer. Quinn motors saying dealer stated engine doesn't need to be replaced is a fabrication of the truth I have the inspection showing what the problem is that being the pistions per 20 year Subaru veteran tech.. 30 day warranty specifically states pistoons in warranty and that is the problem. They just don't want to honor warranty and are falsely advertising their warranty it is nothing they stand behind. I just want my money back and they can have the car back. Not at a 20% surcharge... while discussing issue with Quinn motors I said this is not how you treat customers he says why you won't be a customer after this quote... they are crooks..
