Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 11, 2014/08/19) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
As a physican and business owner, professionality is paramount in how I conduct myself and those who I encounterThe ability to respond and communicate to a patient or collegues needs is drummed into us in medical school, residency and our professional careerWe make sure that every member of our team has a way to get ahold of us by pager, cell, or at least knows how to get ahold of usIn my professional opionion the only time I recieved good customer service from Eldercare was for one day after the money was deposited into their account
That day a customer service representative, Mrs*** called by phone and assured me she would be available if I had any issues with the leadsFrom that moment on Eldercare was not available by phone, by e-mail, and yes by even their secure line
By Phone
I called XXX-XXX-XXXX, option and left messages for eldercarelink from the period of 7/12-7/everyday for weeksA representative was not availble and it went straight to voice mail in every callI did not recieve one call back(Notice in Quinterest response they don't give a day in which the customer service representative called back.) Quinterest: If your conducting a thorough investigation please explain why one cannot get ahold a "live" customer represenative at XXXX-XXX-XXXX for weeks???

July 23, another E-mail
I am extremely unhappy with the leads from eldercare and the customer serviceFor over a week I've tried to contact a customer service representative about invalid or bad leads
XXXXXXXXXXX Jul 10:10:*** *** ***@gmail.com XXXXXXXXXX HOME_CARE_BASIC $Delivered
XXXXXXXXXXX Jul 07:35:*** *** ***@yahoo.com XXXXXXXXXX HOME_CARE_BASIC $Delivered
Mr*** email address was wrong and no one answered the phone after attempts made by different peopleThe same result occurred with the 2nd leadI would like a refund back and not pursue this any longer
*** ***
I've used the lead portal system two timesTwo times to stop the bad leads from coming 7/16/and 7/23/The third time to launch a complaint about the bad leads7/23/Unfortunately I can't reproduce the complaint through Quinterest secure portal line unless they acknowledge it
If requested I can submit telephone records from Verizon and e-mails from ***@gmail.com
I implore Revdex.com to closely look at the actvities of Eldercare a subsidary of QuinterestSpecifically at their negligent behavior in handling customer complaints by phone and by emailA customer should be able to get a hold of a customer representative to voice their opinions and concerns about their service and to recieve a reply backMrs*** Eldercare representative, gave the appearance as though this were possibleMy month long experience with Eldercare link was that they failed miserably in this area and believe I deserve a full refund
Sincerley,

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2015/03/23) */
Received response via email:
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. QuinStreet's investigation determined that Mr. [redacted]'s concern was not processed until recently. We have confirmed that his account has been closed...

and his data deleted. We will notify him. As an added precaution, we have placed his email address on the company's global unsubscribe list. We regret the delay and inconvenience to Mr. [redacted].
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 13, 2015/03/27) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
In an email from a QuinStreet representative, [redacted], I was informed on 3/18/15 that finally my account would be closed as long as I gave them a reason in writing. Email available on request for your amusement purposes only. On 3/23/15, QuinStreet replied to the Revdex.com complaint and confirmed that the account ( WisePiggy.com - credit monitoring ) had been closed and that my email had been removed from their global spam list. As of 3/27/15 this account remains open and the spam continues hourly. My personal favorite is the drug rehab spam. Because we all know how important it is for a drug addict to have good credit. I shouldn't be surprised that a company who would defraud the US Government and prey on US veterans to exploit the GI Bill for their own financial gain wouldn't take a Revdex.com complaint seriously.
I appreciate the efforts from the Revdex.com staff to help me resolve this ridiculous issue with QuinStreet.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2015/08/10) */

QuinStreet takes its privacy matters seriously and with no admission of wrong doing, we have added the email address [redacted].com to our suppression list as of Friday, September 12, 2014. Please note that it may take up to...

10 days for emails to stop flowing. In the event that a marketing partner of ours was the sender of the email, we will contact that partner and instruct them to add the email [redacted].com to the applicable suppression list so that Mr. [redacted] does not receive any further emails. This however, is not a guarantee that you will not receive calls from other third parties in the future.
We hereby consider this matter closed.

QuinStreet Legal

Please advise friends to be very cautious advertising or transacting any business with QuinStreet.

Insist on an indemnity clause in the contract so that of a company is sued for advertisements or calls or anything associated with QuinStreet, QuinStreet will be obligated to reimburse all costs including fully amortized staff time, legal fees and settlements, maybe in triplicate for the probable Dilution Of Good Will.

My experience is that once QuinStreet acquires an email address or phone number, through legitimate sources or not, it is impossible to stop QuinStreet from using these email addresses or phone numbers. Rather, requests to stop likely result in vindictive retaliation through floods of disgusting emails and phone calls. The Federal Do Not Call list is not effectively honored by QuinStreet. I have dozens of examples where QuinStreet is identified as the lead source for falsely *Fresh* leads by companies calling me asking for someone other than me. This has been going on for years, despite repeated and polite direct requests to cease, beginning before 2006.

In 2006 I actually visited QuinStreet's (almost empty) offices on the [redacted], and discussed my experiences with one of their lawyers. He promised all calls and emails would end. Well, they slowed, for awhile, then increased into floods of harassment again and again.

I actually feel somewhat sorry for several of the companies who have been defrauded by QuinStreet when my number has been distributed to them with another name with a supposedly fresh request for a refinance or business loan or credit card debt elimination or whatever the next scam becomes.

An example are several dating companies. A couple, as a result of my discussions, appear to have changed advertising strategy to avoid future legal liabilities, and possibly to get more cost effective service. The ones which continue to use QuinStreet ... Do you Really want your advertisements to All end up in only SPAM folders, next to "[redacted]: down for s3x tonight", or "[redacted]: You have a 1NightStand Request". Does this enhance or erode your corporate credibility and likelihood of acquiring profitable clients who will be so enamored with your services that they will recommend them to friends? In addition, how does this also backfire when your advertisements are viewed on television? Does the concept of irony by advertising through scummy scammers make anything other than a negative impact? How desperate for business must one be to use both?

A couple of companies I have discussed my problems with have apparently communicated my wishes to their advertiser(s). Amazingly, the commercial advertisements all actually ended one day on an email account. Sadly the commercial ads were replaced by over 100 scamming and scummy vindictively harassing emails for several days, a volume that has only abated somewhat. My count of archived SPAM now exceeds 150,000. My count of harassing phone calls exceeds 3,000, and my archive is over a thousand. Oh, and the links and attachments associated with many of these emails may carry the malicious viruses that so plague and disrupt our Internet to the point of becoming dangerous to use. I have a work associate who's family member clicked by accident on one of those links, and by morning ALL of their financial accounts were wiped out and all their money and savings gone. That makes a great impression, NOT!

Anybody at the FTC want to make $16k a call Any law firms want to join in? Could dent our National Debt by many millions if we can collaborate effectively. A good grassroots campaign could collect many other persons in similar circumstances, and a grand case could be developed, then prosecuted one call at a time. QuinStreet has market valuation to help our debt out a few days worth.

[redacted] 1996 Boulder Pledge
"Under no circumstances will I ever purchase anything offered to me as the result of an unsolicited e-mail message. Nor will I forward chain letters, petitions, mass mailings, or virus warnings to large numbers of others. This is my contribution to the survival of the online community."
This example from: [redacted]

I strongly subscribe to this policy. It saves me lots of money by not having to pay for the advertising to a million others, just to get one sale. I suspect that the smartest and richest consumers feel likewise.

On the other hand, QuinStreet could revise it's policies and get rid of it's vindictive behavior, make sure they never use an email address or phone number without first validating through that conduit that the recipient legitimately wants information, and discontinuing use after a dozen distributions or 30 days, whichever comes first.

Please,
Please,
Please ... advise your friends to avoid QuinStreet, it's harassment and vindictiveness.

However, your Frenemies and QuinStreet will be good company.

This survey company said they would pay me but have not

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/09/04) */
QuinStreet has been in contact with Mr. [redacted] since the $394 was drafeted from his account on 8/22. On 8/26 a refund in the amount of $394 was made to Mr.s [redacted] as per his request. Accordingly we consider this matter closed.

I am not a customer and I have never heard of Quinstreet. This "company" some how retrieved my email and sent fake invoices for leads I have never heard, authorized or even purchased. I sent the email to my spam folder and all of a sudden a few months later I receive fraudulent charges on my credit card once again for leads I have never heard of!. This seems to be a common theme from these scam artists as I am reading from prior reviews. Why haven't these people been stopped? I have already disputed all charges with my credit card company. I want this place shut down! Taking advantage of small business owners!!!!!!!!!!!!! They will not get a penny of money.
