I had my item ( PlayStation 4 Game System with 3 controllers) in a *** shop for a few days. On May 31,2020 our city area had riots. The *** shop was broken into and everything was stolen. They told me after 30 days if the police can't retrieve my item, they will reimburse me. When I came to shop. The owner said I have to Pay for my item that was stolen from their shop. Pay the loan and then I would receive a $150 credit to their store which is empty. This isn't right. Why would I pay for an item they can't give back to me. They said their insurance didn't cover riots so they can do what they want.
Our business has been looted by these so called peaceful protesters .Detective *** from SBPD advised to send all customers to the PD, they will take their report, and whatever they will do after I do not know
I pawned a item to this business & they lost the item .I have the receipt as proof that the item has not been taken out of the *** .
