It is good that Mr [redacted] at Qwik Roof Cleaners is finally admitting the damagesUntil a few weeks ago, he was avoiding the problem, using delaying tactics, saying the damaged and dead plants would "probably" be ok in the fall.? ? It is good that Mr. [redacted] at Qwik Roof Cleaners is finally admitting the damages. Until a few weeks ago, he was avoiding the problem, using delaying tactics, saying the damaged and dead plants would "probably" be ok in the fall.  Initially, as you can see on his invoice he said they would be "fine" in the spring.  The damaged plants are still damaged, and the dead plants are still dead.As to his answer, we were assured that his process was safe for "plants, paint and pets".   There was NO prior agreement to assist in the cleaning process.  Mr [redacted] arrived at our residence alone, with an excuse that his helper, his grandson, was unable to come.  He requested my assistance after beginning work on 2 sections of our home, stating that the rinsing needed to be done while he was washing the next section. Since he obviously could not be doing both at the same time, I reluctantly provided assistance.  Also, most of the damage to our plants was on the 2 sections he started prior to requesting my help.  There was NO mention of payment for my assistance.  When he returned to repair the damage he caused to the finish on our rear deck the following week, he became aware of the extensive damage to our plants and shrubbery, as noted on his invoice, and deducted $50 (not $75) from the quoted price in a meager attempt at mitigation. In repairing the deck, he did not properly strip the sealer, only the color, resulting in a dark gummy surface.  He even commented on the poor outcome himself when we had him survey the damage this spring. We are now in the process of properly resealing the deck.Of course we obtained quotes, it had been 7 months!  How much longer should we have to wait?  We also requested advice from the nursery initially on how to save as many of the plants as possible. We followed their advice and saved some of them.As for using the Revdex.com logo being a good business practice, supposedly to save a penny on a single sheet of paper, I can only say that misrepresentation is never a good business practice. In summary,We were told he was a Revdex.com member, even using the Revdex.com logo on his invoice. He was not and is not.We were told he was insured, initially saying he had a $500 deductible, then this spring he said it was a $1000 deductible, per our last conversation, he is not insured at all. He was using the deductible excuse as the reason for not acting on the problem. He stated his process was safe for plants, paint and pets.  Plants, shrubbery, and the finish on our deck were damaged. He stated he would replace the plants in the spring, he has not. So far, we find Qwik Roof Cleaners to be unprofessional, unethical and dishonest. In our last conversation Mr [redacted] stated that if we pursued this in small claims court, he would just file bankruptcy.  We feel that attempting mediation at this point would not serve any useful purpose, since he will not negotiate in good faith.  This forum may at least forewarn other homeowners who check with the Revdex.com.
