Review: I live out of state, but a family member lives in the home that had a leak in the roof and we needed to have the leak repaired. There was ceiling/drywall damage that also needed repair. I had an initial bid on July 29, 2014 of $1250. plus tax from R G Remodeling and Construction, LCC to"We agree to remove existing gutter on left rear of Home. We also agree to furnish and install new gutter ($850.00) , apron and seal shingles in this area. We will remove damaged plaster. We will install new drywall, finish and primer damaged area. All work will be done in a neat and professional manner. We will hall away and dispose of all garbage and debris." The bid seemed reasonable and R G Remodeling was contacted to do the work. The work was finally scheduled and completed in early October 2014. During the repair a gold necklace disappeared from the home. The post job paperwork dated October 15, 2014 was another "proposal" stating "We agree to install Flintastic Rubber Roofing System on edge of roof. Seal completely around chimney. All work will be done in a neat and professional manner. Clean up and haul away all debris. 3 year guarantee on labor. $875.00" They did remove and repair the damaged ceiling plaster, and they subtracted $300.00 off of the initial bid of $1250.00 to compensate for the necklace that disappeared during the repair. I sent a check to the family member for $900.00 to deposit into the fmaily members account so that payment could be made for the repair. There have been multiple requests for a receipt for payment which has never been acknowledged or sent. Within a week or two of the repair, the same leak reappeared and we were back to the same leaking roof problem.

We have since had a complete roof repair by another roofing contractor that is sound and without any further leaking problems.Desired Settlement: I would appreciate a refund or at least a partial refund since the repair that R G Remodeling was ineffective in stopping the original leaking roof problem. The contract dated October 15, 2014 stated "3 year guarantee on labor" which suggests if the work was done, the roof should have been repaired so that it would no longer leak.

Review: See Letter Sent to company....Received no reply back...and part of services are still incomplete! In December 2012, my wife and I had our roof repaired through your company along with our box gutters, driveway sealed and interior walls fixed/replaced at our home at [redacted]. Unfortunately, we feel that your services were completed inadequately and failed to meet the expectations that we had hoped for after meeting and talking with you personally. We are disappointed because we feel that the front porch roof should not be leaking after having the roof repaired, we also feel that some of the finishing around the top roof is not properly nailed in all the way. We are also concerned that we were told when the weather got warmer you would return to seal the drivewaywe had two days of 65 degree weather and have not seen or heard from you. I had also made the attempt to contact you on Jan. 10th via email and did not receive a response. This experience has not been a pleasant one, I feel that your company took on more than they could handle and that you promised the homeowners more than you informed your employees to complete. Also, in talking with your workers, on several occasions we were told that they came to you in discussion about rotting wood and repairs that would be eventually need to be fixedwhen asked why you did not come to us your employees stated you do not like to return to the homeowners and ask for more moneyso my thoughts on this is how did the roof get properly fixed?? Next, in regards to the inside of the home and the mold inspection, you had told me that you had someone come out to our home on two occasions, which I do not believe was accurate, as I was in the home for the 5 minutes that the one man was present. I also believe we were overcharged, as all you needed to do in the long run was sand the walls and place primer on them (which needed to be completed twice because we complained it was poorly done the first time). Lastly, you had promised on several occasions that you would leave our home the way you found itwe live in the City of [redacted] your company did not sweep up, nails were left all over the public side walk and our neighbor had gotten a flat tire from a nail. This saddens me. So my question to you is do you care about what your customers want or how others perceive your company?? To resolve the problem, I would appreciate your response in a timely manner. I have also enclosed pictures from today of outside our home and have saved copies for my records as well; I also have a live video of the water leaking from the porch, please make sure to view via the link below. I look forward to your reply and a resolution to our problem and will wait until Feb. 28th 2013 before seeking help from a consumer protection agency or Revdex.com. Please contact me at the above address or by phone at ###-###-####. Sincerely, [redacted]Enclosure(s) Attached via link (From two separate occasions) Please view link below for pictures/videos. https://plus.google.com/photos[redacted]/albums/[redacted]?authkey=CKyosMqfmsS1B... Settlement: I would like a refund for the work not completed...sealing driveway, and I would like a partial refund back for the front porch roof to pursue services elsewhere! Please view link in above section to see pictures of leaking porch roof and video! Thank you!

Called this contractor for estimate for gutter repair. [redacted] scheduled appointment. [redacted] did not keep appointment or bother to call to cancel/explain. Waited 30 past appointment time and called [redacted]. He said that "because weather was bad and his first appointment ran over, he thought I "figured out" he wasn't coming."
Interestingly, the weather didn't keep him from his "first appointment."
My advice, call someone else.
