I paid a $300.00 deposit on 8/*/12 towards a $2000.00 wedding gown last year for my daughter, [redacted] who was to be married on 4/**/13. I sent an additional $300.00 in Septemebr, totaling a $600.00 deposit. [redacted], the saleswoman, told us that the dress would not be ordered until it was paid for at least 50% (or $1000.00). After that time, my daughter's plans changed and the wedding was called off for a while. It was a destination wedding and hardly anyone could come. My daughter called [redacted] on January [redacted] to cancel the dress order. She told my daughter that the deposit was non refundable. I sent a certified letter to [redacted]'s in April with a copy of the payments I made. It was received and signed for by [redacted] on May [redacted], whom I found out later was the owner. She did not respond to my request for them to return my deposit of $600.00. I called the business on June [redacted] and spoke with "[redacted]" who said she was one of the owners. She said she knew nothing about the letter and assured me that she would get back to me on Friday, June [redacted], after speaking with the other owner, [redacted]. I gave her both my home # and my cell phone #. I never heard back from [redacted] or [redacted]. I never received any merchandise from them and I know that the dress was not ordered, so they didn't get stuck with any merchandise as well.
