Service provider arrived to my home without an appointment,knocked incessantly for 1/2 hour, and then yelled at me as I walked to my vehicle.

This incident occurred in the early part of July. On a Monday morning at about 7:30 a.m., as I was getting ready for work, a man arrived on my doorstep and began to incessantly ring my doorbell and knock on my door. As no one had made an appointment to be at my home at that time, I did not come down to open the door as I did not have time to host any peddlers or solicitors. I have many meetings at work in the morning, and I cannot waste any time listening to salespeople. As I exited my front door, toward my car, the person that was knocking was curbside in his truck. He saw me exit and started walking towards me yelling about now allowing him in. I kept walking towards my car. He continued to follow me, yelling at me so all my neighbors could hear, and harass me about his need to enter my home. He said his company had called me to notify me that they would be coming by to install smoke detectors. I responded by saying they had called on Thursday to tell me they were coming by in a week but did not make an appointment. He called his office and yelled at the phone and at me that I would not let him in because he did not have an appointment. At that point I told him I was not going to stand there and let him yell at me. I turned my back on him and walked to my car and left. I should have called the police because I felt that my safety was threatened. Later on that day, my husband called the office of this company to request and apology but they never sent one. I would not recommend this company to anyone as the service person that was at my home is believed to be the owner. He's a hothead, rude, careless, and verbally abusive. He never installed the equipment his company was supposed to install. He left it outside in a bag by the door.
