RCI and Mr. [redacted] were the contractors involved.  It was on his quote and letter head the proposal was submitted to me.  It was his contractor number that he gave me to use at Sherwin Williams for the paint used.  I have an email from him to a [redacted] that he gave me to provide proof of his liability insurance.  It has been Mr. [redacted] that has been communicating with me before the job started and the one that has been communicating with me and coming to the work site ever since.  I can forward you copies of the e-mails if needed.  Please indicate the e-mail address I should send these to.

In regards to the complaint filed by [redacted] we have come to a resolution based on the following information.Mr. [redacted] received a written quote from an RCI LLC salesman on RCI LLC letterhead. What was done at that time was Mr. [redacted] paid the employee of RCI LLC to do...

a "side" job without myself knowing about the job. The job was never invoiced through our invoice program which tracks all jobs and payments. Without an invoice I had no knowledge of the job. Several years later Mr. [redacted] had a problem with the job and could not get in touch with his salesman because he was fired from RCI and no longer lives in Louisiana. At that time Mr. [redacted] contacted my office and I got involved because he did have a written proposal from RCI. It didn't take long to figure out what had happened. Mr. [redacted] knows this was a side job done at an amount less than my company could have done the work for and now there is an issue he wants us involved and that's not how it works.I know Mr. [redacted] produced the written proposal. I would only ask you to ask him to produce the payment to RCI LLC for the completed work.I explained it to Mr. [redacted] this way: If you go to Walmart and buy groceries you pay Walmart and not pay the cashier who checked you out. But if you do pay the cashier because she is going to give you a cheaper price then if something breaks you cannot expect Walmart to fix it....And just to let you know that out of good faith I personally went and addressed his problem not because I had to but because I wanted to make it go away.Let me know if you have any additional questions or comments and if you would be so kind and let me know you received this email.Respectfully,[redacted]RCI LLC

Review: The contractor was to paint the house and replace siding behind electrical box outside of my home. The area behind the electrical box has been leaking since the job was completed on 5/5/14. I have made numerous attempts (I have copies of the emails) to have the contractor repair the area behind the electric box and to stop it from leaking. The inside of my bedroom wall behind the electrical box is being severely damaged by water leaking from behind the electrical box,I gave him one last chance to properly repair the area before filing this complaint and he has not done so. I believe his License No. is [redacted]Desired Settlement: repair and seal areas behind the electrical box to keep water from leaking into my bedroom floors and wall.
