Lie After lie after shady manipulated lieIn my years in the garage door industry never have I seen such a pathetic display of human indecency. I quoted and emailed an estimate via email sight unseen to the customerThen I went down to meet with customer and look at jobI realized that
what I had accidentally quoted was for uninsulated doors and what they wanted were insulated doorsCost difference was but it was a slow week so I agreed to only add to the jobI made the changes without rewriting everything(which is how they are able to get away with this bs) and I signed the contract then he signed the contractI Re emailed a copy of new, signed contract to them and kept the physical one. Started job on Friday but wasn't given correct parts from my supplier so I had to reset for Monday. On Monday while I was driving down I got a frantic call from my wifeShe had a car accidentI reset the job for Tuesday and finished it then.There was one piece of vinyl trim that had a slight fold in it from the way it was in the box but I told them I was gonna get them a new piece.When they came home on Tuesday they were very angry and as I look back now it was by designThey were mad cuz I used their power cord to charge my batteries and they were mad that I used their scaffolding...even though it was ok for me to use it on Friday somehow on Tuesday it was unacceptable. After an hour of "discussions" they gave me a check and I went straight to the bankWhile I at the bank I noticed it was short and said final payment in the memoI decided to deposit and call them in the morningI was thinking it was a mistake but they decided to pretend the signed contract we had didn't exist and use the emailed, pre signed estimate as the invoice.Under advisement of my lawyer and with the help of Cslb I have dropped off the piece of trim and stopped asking for the $dollars that they owe meI Consider this a lesson learned and hope to never hear from these "morally challenged " people. I have also sent their info and this story to the garage doors companies in town here that I consider friends to warn them not to do any work here.I have done what they asked in their complaint and haven't Heard from them and the Cslb file is closed so I assume all is good Let me know if u need anything else from meThanx Brian Recore ace garage doors (619)987-
