Review: I rented a place to live at [redacted] never once have I been late on my rent lived there for over a year kept the place clean and well maintained. I decided to move out upon moving out I cleaned the place up deep cleaned it cleaned the walls shampooed the carpet I had the place move in ready for the next tenant than many weeks later I get a letter stating that I owe r and d property management money for this big list of misc stuff that they are charging me. I was furious I was suppose to get all my deposit back but instead got a bill that I should never have gotten I wrote a letter disputing the charges than all they sent me back was $73 when I should have received all of my $700 deposit r and d property management is a rip off and I will never recommend that anyone rents from them that [redacted] is a rude lady and a rip off.Desired Settlement: I want my whole deposit back not just $73

I would use caution when renting from R & D Property Management as they are slow to respond to work orders and pre-existing issues are brushed off until after you move out, then they claim you/the tenant are the reason for the issues. Document every call and follow it up in writing. Getting them to respond after you move is even worse as they drag out for weeks your request for an explanation of charges against your deposit. My last day was February 28, 2015 and I'm still waiting for a response to several items that clearly state in the Landlord/Tenant Handbook I shouldn't be charged for. One response from them actually stated my e-mail was blank, however the two people I Cc'd received it just fine. Another disturbing fact is the owner/president of the company owns, with her husband, the company that does the repairs. RC Unlimited bills to R & D and they pass the charge to you stating "it was tenant damage". Whether the repairs were really completed or actually cost the amount stated on the invoice is questionable. Get witnesses to everything you discuss with them because they shine you on but stick it to you in the end. Also, if you do rent from them take pictures of everything before you move in and again when you move out. Make sure you complete the tenant move in sheet using multiple pages if necessary to document every scratch/mark/blemish. After living for over 3 1/2 years in one of their rentals it is my belief they're shady but no one has stood up to them.

Wow where do I start. So I find a location that r&d manages I drive by the complex look around and I like so I go further and apply. After submitting my application and application fee I contacted the on site manager to view the unit that Id be renting she let me know then it was still occupied and they wouldnt be out till the 27th,ok thats fine but then I get a call from R&d asking me for money and to sign an intent to rent form!!!! Yeah rite why would I sign my name on a dotted line when ive never even seen the inside of the unit. It could be roach infested it could be nasty carpet hell the pain could be nasty! I just had to kindlt decline because ive NEVER heard of anything like this. To me it smells like they wanna take your deposit money to fix up the place then rent it to u! Or slum lords!! Either way im NEVER using R&D again period!!
