Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this RevDex.com complaintAdvance Repair & Machining, Incis committed to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction and so it is disappointing to find that a customer is so unsatisfied to have registered a complaint with the Revdex.comThis customer and issue has brought two firsts to our company's year historyThis is the first complaint filed against our firm and this is the first time we have ever needed to call the police to respond to threats of aggressionThe following is our explanation of the timeline and related steps to find resolution
We were contacted by client to estimate a custom weld/fabrication jobThe estimate for the work as first covered by the client was for $The client accepted our estimate verbally and we began the workOver the course of the next week, client made two separate visits to our shop to review the work and request changes to the original scope of workSince client was representing a company for this work that is within a similar industry as ours, our Project Manager did not write up a change order for the additional work requested as he assumed client was aware that changes to the work description will add additional costs to the job
This is where our company finds fault with our handling of this job and, as a result, we attempted to find resolution with the client at the timeWe had approximately $additional labor into this job when our Project Manager called client to discuss the cost of the changes since the date of the estimateThe re-estimated cost of this project, after changes, was over $The client became angry over the phone and we attempted to negotiate a reduction of priceDuring this phone call the client and our company agreed to the reduced amount of $for the work performed and client agreed to come to the shop and pick up the scooter as is
When the client arrived to the shop to pay the agreed rate of $and pick up the scooter as is, the client was aggressive, foul mouthed, and made threatsAt this point, the police were called to remove client from the property until he was in the right state to discuss the issuesAfter the police were contacted, client wrote a check for $400.00, the scooter was loaded onto his trailer and he was given a paid in full receiptThe police arrived soon after and took statements from both the client and our staff and client left without additional incident
It is the opinion of Advance Repair & Machining, Incthat job I-was originally invoiced for $and, upon disagreement of price with client, was reduced to the agreed rate of $to close out the workThe additional amount now requested by client is inappropriate as it does not recognize the completed work and hours put into the jobOur company reduced the invoice by $as a way of saying that we take responsibility for not making the client sign change orders each time additional work was requestedAdvance Repair & Machining, Incconsiders this job to be complete, paid in full and settled
