R & H Construction Services Reviews (2)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint
In his response Justin mentions “he was hired to complete repairs on the 28th”. Our check for the repairs was already cashed on 24th, before Hurricane Harvey was even an issue. Justin didn't ‘slip’. We emailed him more than times regarding the receipt, and he completely ignored it, until the Revdex.com was contactedA copy of our receipt was received on the 28th of September, over a month after several of our requests. He was able to go to the bank to cash our check for $4,worth of services on the 24th, but he didn't have a minute to spare to send us our receipt for the next five weeks until the Revdex.com was contacted? Also, he was able to send multiple invoices for unwanted services, but he continued to withhold our itemized receipt and warranties. According to Justin, on Friday, September 1st, the roads were impassable and him and his technicians were able to service our pool. On August 31st --the night before, my daughters were able to travel to Austin and back using the same route he claims as “impassable”If this had been Monday (08/28) or Tuesday (08/29), when Houston was truly impassable, it was completely understandable, following the contractOn the Friday of this week (09/01), however, all major highways were open and operatingIt seems completely unethical to use this tragedy as an excuse to get out of work and make moneyActually, starting Wednesday, August 30th, both myself and my husband went back to work I took care of patients everyday, and my husband was on-call throughout the hurricane driving around, and blocking off flooded roads to keep the public safe. We know and understand the contract, but this is a claim, to use Harvey as a way to not go to work, but continue to charge customers. I think it is comical that Justin is calling me rude, when he texted my husband calling us 'DISRESPECTFUL LOW-LIFES' who try to 'nickel and dime'. He claims lack of accessibility was the reason for not providing the service on 09/15. There are two gates to the backyardOne of the gates is always unlocked, and we have asked both Justin and his technician to use this gate, and they have used it several times in the pastThis gate always remains unlocked, and actually is not capable of locking, so we are unsure as to the claims made by Justin about accessibility, so accessibility is another excuse to not complete the service. Also, this 'person within the residence' was our housekeeper who is not supposed to answer the doorWhen my daughter came home, she saw that their truck was parked outside and his two technicians were in the backyard, including his wife with an iPad in handBoth technicians saw my daughter but did not approach her to ask to open the other gate (if that is the issue, which it hasn't been in the past!). He does not mention that they never showed to the last scheduled day (09/22) of service that was paid in advance. Following the contract, we contacted Justin via email asking to discontinue services for the following month since we were unsatisfied with Justin's quality of work and professionalismJustin confirmed that the month of September would be the last month of our service, for which we had already paid for in advanceOn September 8th, we confirmed with Justin that September would be our last month working together. However, Justin still sent us an invoice for the month of October, on September 21stOnce we reminded Justin via email that we no longer wanted him to provide services, he didn't even bother showing up for the last scheduled pre-paid date of service (Friday, 09/22/2017)When my husband and I came home from work on Friday (09/22/2017) we noticed our pool had not been servicedWe called, texted, and emailed Justin many timesWe received no response, until my husband called from our house phone (a phone number that is unfamiliar to Justin) to which he immediately answered. Justin was avoiding our calls to once again get out of servicing our poolHe said he would send someone over, and no technician ever cameWe even left our main gate that is usually closed, opened the entire day of Friday (09/22/2017) so there would no excuse as to why he would be unable to service our pool, as far as accessibilityJustin didn't even bother sending someone or responding as to why we were charged for another service to which we didn't receive. To address the last two paragraphs of Justin's response to the Revdex.com, we can say with complete candor that these claims are completely untrueI, myself, have not had a phone or in person conversation with Justin since the day he serviced our pool (08/24/2017)I have only been able to contact him through emailSo there is record of how untrue his claims areEvery time I have tried to call Justin, he ignored my calls. In summary, we paid for weeks of service, and only received Justin continued to make up claims as to why he couldn't service the pool for two of the three weeks, and didn't even bother showing up for the third and final missed week. We heard back from Justin through text on (09/23/2017), when my husband called Justin and said that if we did not receive the service we paid for, we would contact the Revdex.comTo this, Justin responded "THE Revdex.com IS FAKE" and "lol I can pay them to make it disappear :)" on (09/23/2017). This may not have much monetary value, but we feel that Justin must be held accountable for his lack of professionalism and his dishonest, unethical serviceOther potential customers should be made aware of what kind of horrid business Justin is running, and we are not after "nickel and dimes", we simply wanted the services we paid for, and we are contacting the Revdex.com just to make sure that there is some kind of consequence so that Justin is unable to continue treating customers so poorly. We have documented proof for checks, texts, pictures, and emails supporting the response that we are sending, and we are happy to provide any if needed. Above, we have attached the text messages from Justin we referred to, and the picture of our pool on Friday (09/22/2017) at 7:p.m., the day it should have been serviced--the date/time stamp can be found on the picture. Regards, *** ***

We were hired by this individual on AUGUST 1st 2017 (not September 7th as they claim) to perform repairs and service as described. We performed $4,250 worth of repairs on Friday 8/28/17 (the weekend Hurricane Harvey made land fall). I will admit that due to the situation that tore Houston apart, I...

slipped my job duties and forgot to send them a copy of the paid invoice. (They have since recieved the copy of the paid invoice).  That following week, as every Houstonian is aware, our city was completely underwater making it impossible for our technicans to drive around to service a swimming pool. AS STATED in our contract, in which this customer signed and filled on out 8/1/17, due to incliment weather we cannot perform our job duties. In my opinion Hurricane Harvey was a little bit of an incliment weather situation.  We did not service their pool, nor any other of our customers pools. [redacted], then emailed me very rudly explaining how we are arrgant and we need to get to her house because her pool is important and we have no excuse as to why we did not service her pool. I explained to her that due to the Hurricane noone had their pool serviced or cleaned and there was no credit as stated in her contract. The following week, we had TWO technicans in service to help clean up the disaster that was left behind. Upon arrival at the [redacted] residents we found a locked gate. Again, as stated in her contract it explains how we must have ACCESS to the property to be able to clean the pool, which was behind locked gates. One of the technicians (my wife in fact), knocked on the door and could see someone within the residence. The door however went unaswered. Being that the gate was locked and whomever was inside the house did not open the door or gate, again we were unable to service the pool. After this the technicans left. We were then again contacted by [redacted] and she stated that she doesnt care what the contract says, that we need to return to her property ASAP to service her swimming pool. We explained to her that we cannot return to houses that have locked gates, as we have a route sheet we must follow. This again is stated in her contract. She then insisted we refund her her money. However, as stated many times, I aksed her to review her contract because are guidelines are as follows.  This contract that she signed was pulled from our website, filled out, and returned to us via [redacted] herself. The contract and its details can be found online at our website, below I will attach a link to view for yourself. If you have any questions PLEASE do not hesistate to call! http://www.jspoolsandspas.com/pdf/JS%20Pool%20Service%20Agreement3.pdf T... you & God Bless, Justin [redacted], OwnerJ's Pools & Spas
