To Revdex.com regarding complaint # [redacted] ; [redacted] Customers claim that our 10/visit “did not fix the problem” is not correctPrior to our visit, the customer had no heat at the completion of our visit, the customers’ furnace was operating and warming their residenceThis fact is supported by the customers’ signature on our contract stating, “I hereby acknowledge the satisfactory completion of the above described work”, and further evidenced by the customers payment for the work (Who would pay if the furnace was not working?) The subsequent failure of the furnace on 10/was not caused by any defect in Blau’s’ service of 10/ rather the failure was caused by “mother nature” who created extremely gusty winds in our region which blew the seasonal falling leaves into the furnace air intake pipeThis is an unfortunate consequence of the design of modern-day high-efficiency furnacesThey have PVC air intake pipes that are “sucking” air into the furnace from outsideWhen they “suck in leaves” they stop running Finally, professional, expert technicians with more than years of industry experience performed both of the furnace service calls The customer has offered no evidence by any third party expert in support of their claim of defective serviceConsequently, Blau sees no reason what so ever to agree to the customers demand However, in review of the documents for these jobs, I note that the customer in either of these transactions used no couponsIn the interest of customer goodwill, I will direct the customer to our website ..www.blauplumbing.com ..wherein if they click on “Online Specials” .they will find a $coupon which can be used toward this service eventI would agree to retroactively provide the customer with a $reimbursement to put this matter to rest The customer can simply mail a printed copy of the online coupon to our office (Attention Kathy Bosch) with a short note that it is regard to this matter BUT ..before I can make the refund, the customer MUST resolve the payment matter with the collection agency who has been in contact with themAlong with the online coupon, the customer must mail a copy of sufficient documentation that the collection agency issue has been resolvedFollowing our receipt of the above, we will mail the $refund In closing, it is our hope that the Revdex.com and the customer view this offer as a genuine effort to treat our customer in a fair manner and that the Revdex.com will consider this matter closed Sincerely,

Attached is the warranty at issue in this matterIt reads as follows: " RootX will warranty any line treated with RootX will not plug or back up due to a living tree root obstruction for a period of months after application."The customers sewer line DID NOT plug or back up due to a living tree root obstruction.....rather.....it plugged up because the sewer line was broken under the basement floor and the line had filled up with earth causing the backup This fact was reported to both the customer and Blau by the contractor who dug up and repaired the sewer lineBecause the sewer line WAS NOT plugged due to a living tree root obstruction, no warranty service is requiredAs of this writing, this warranty has expired, and Blau is no longer bound by any warranty obligation

first, I did not write any times down on any paper. second All I called them for was a water heater. I was in my garage working when he wnt thru my house and did other work. He tol me that I had to have the chimmey tube put in by law, and the inspector would no o.kthe job other wise. He did not tell me the price of the tube, no way can we afford it because of a very recent bankruptcy. I signed the paper work after the work was completed. Milwaukee chimmey quoted me a price of for the chimmey jobnot 1200.00 this is robbery. This company gets wells fargo to accept the loan and takes advantage of us because of the money we could get. the man who did the work probably gets money for the additional work he did. I am ready to inform the consumer advocayes office in madison about this fraud. once the Revdex.com is thru with their findins. also contact in milwaukee. let the public see how cut throgt this company really is

On 4/1/our customer *** *** called Blau for service because his water heater was leaking badWithin hour we had a service technician at his home addressing the issueIt was determined the water needed to be replaced and the serviceman proceeded to write up his detailed proposalDue to
the condition of the customer's existing chimney liner, it was found to be non code compliant and needed to be replaced to meet codeAlso the existing gas and water shut off valves were non-compliant and needed to be replaced as wellA permit is required to replace a water heater and everything must meet code not only to pass inspection but for the safety of the homeownerOur serviceman proceeded to write proposals for all the above mentioned work and go over it verbally with the customerIt is our policy that we obtain the property owner's signature on our paperwork authorizing us to go ahead with the proposed workNot only did Mr*** authorize and sign our work order, but he also applied for the financing we offer and signed both the credit application and charge slip as wellIn addition we issued a discount on the water heater installation and did additional plumbing work which was also authorized by Mr***Attached are copies of our signed work order along with the signed finance application and charge slip authorizing us to run all the charges on his newly opened Wells Fargo account Is Please feel free to call me with any additional questions.Respectfully,Kathy B*** *** ###-###-####

As of this writing, this warranty has expired, and Blau is no longer bound by any warranty obligation.

In the interest of customer goodwill, I will direct the customer to our website…..www.blauplumbing.com…..wherein if they  click on “Online Specials”….they will find a $50 coupon which can be used toward this service event. I would agree to retroactively provide the customer with a $50 reimbursement to put this matter to rest.   The customer can simply mail a printed copy of the online coupon to our office  (Attention Kathy Bosch) with a short note that it is regard to this matter……BUT…..before I can make the refund, the customer MUST resolve the payment matter with the collection agency who has been in contact with them. Along with the online coupon, the customer must mail a copy of sufficient documentation that the collection agency issue has been resolved. In reply to customer ([redacted]) rebuttal, Blau re-affirms all of the statements in ourinitial reply and adds the following:Customer's rebuttal can be summarized in three points:1. Customer claims he was not informed of the complete scope of the work, wasnot informed of the price for the complete job, and did not authorize thecompletion of the work until after job was completely finished2. Customer claims chimney liner was not necessary and states that inspectortold him so.3. Customer claims Blau's price for the work is excessive.To Point 1Looking at the copy of Blau's contract (previously provided) in the middle of thedocument, you can plainly see the customers signature, the date of 4/1/15, and thetime of 9:36 am; ALL written by the customer in the customers own handwriting.These facts completely refute the customer claim, and fully support Blau's positionthat the customer was provided a complete written description of the workincluding the complete price all in advance of the work being performed.To Point 2The written report from the Milwaukee Plumbing Inspector who inspected thework, (attached) it reads: "l was asked by owner about chimney liners andresponded that I do not know anything about them or the conditioning of them. Notpart of my inspection". This document refutes the owners claims in their entirety.Top Point 3BIau believes that our price for this job is competitive .n the market place amongour peers. Owner has expressed a hearsay opinion of only a part of the work Blauperformed which is an inaccurate "apple to orange" comparison. Owner has notprovided any written documentation to substantiate his claims.In closing, Blau treated our customer with the utmost respect in the most ethicaland professional manner possible. The owner's claims are refuted by factspresented by Blau. Blau completed in its entirety those obligations and promisedpresented to the owner in our contract. Blau believes that no further adjustmentsare warranted at this time. Blau remains open to considering an "in house credit"toward future work.
