I had this company come out and take my check on 6/9/and haven't heard back since I had my room done and they messed up my roof and haven't contacted me back.they backed into my garage and haven't fixed it.they made my driveway a mess with oil and finally came out to clean it and still no gutters or siding....will never go with this company again and they are so slow

r&m construction repaired my home after a hail storm a couple years agoit took months to complete because they were jumping around here and there doing the same to other customersthey mismeasured the windows causing a delay to reorderafter they left we had a heavy rain week laterthe downspouts on garage fell off as well as house guttering came loosefastforward 2years and I noticed today the gutter on the opposite side of house on the carport is falling offI looked and it was hung with screws in back with no support on outside the way it is supposed to be hungalso I was lied to several times concerning laborers, material, and schedule

In response to the complaint by [redacted]:1. In regards to the delay of repairs, the check had to go to the mortgage company to be signed off before the repairs started and homeowner was advised when check was collected, it would be a few weeks before the roof portion would be...

done.  Homeowner also wanted her siding replaced, therefore we had to Itel the siding and wait for the insurance to respond.2. On the 2nd after the repairs had started the homeowner ordered our people off the property and would not allow us back on the property to pick up trailers, tools and any remaining items on the job.3. Our representative had to call the sheriff in order to obtain the items.  At this time, our representative advised the sheriff that it would be in the homeowner's best interest to allow us to secure the chimney so no leaks would occur.  The Sheriff allowed us to do so.  We then removed our belongings from the homeowner's property.4.  The homeowner threatened our representative with legal proceedings if we came on the property.5. The Husband of the homeowner has contacted our company and a different representative has been out to inspect and document the complaints.  Approximately 3/4ths of the roof work was completed on the house.  We are willing to complete the repairs on the house roof and make the necessary revisions.  We also left the remaining materials at the job site.  6.  We we not rude and only obtained the sheriff's permission due to the homeowner wanting us off her property.7.  After obtaining pictures of the work we did perform, the damages the homeowner claims we have done were existing damages already there before we started the project.  We do have documentation of the pictures before we started the project.Finally, Mrs. [redacted] is not willing to negotiate on fixing the issues or on settlement.  In our opinion, we have tried to resolve the issue and satisfy the homeowner but to no avail.Sincerely,[redacted] /Owner R&M Construction Enterprises Inc.

R&M has provided me with documents identifying certain claims you have raised regarding the work. I have reviewed your claims and discussed the matter further with R&M. Nothing contained in this letter is intended to or shall act as an admission of liability. Notwithstanding that, R&M has authori2ed me to negotiate a resolution to this matter.
As you are aware, the project included emergency tarping, roof replacement, siding replacement and interior repairs. Consistent with the values approved by your insurer, Allstate, R&M installed a tarp ($500.00) and replaced the roof ($9,132.08). R&M also provided siding material at a value of $150.22 which was not installed at your subsequent direction. Thus the total R&M claim is $9,782.30. R&M has been paid a total of $5,063.54, leaving a balance due of $4,718.76.
Based on my review of your claims regarding R&M's work on the project, it appears you have no claims regarding the roof repair and that all of your claims are related to the interior repairs. In order to settle and compromise this claim and, again, without an admission of liability, R&M is not charging you a single dollar for any of the interior repairs completed. Its entire claim for payment relates only to the tarp, roof replacement and small amount of siding materials.
In addition to the foregoing deduction, R&M has authorized me to decrease the total demand by an additional $500.00 to $4,218.76, provided that you take the following steps: (a) pay the $4,218.76 that was already paid to you by your insurance company for the exterior repair work of R&M no later than Wednesday, March 4, 2015, (b) refrain from making any additional negative reviews against R&M on any social media or other forums and (c) submit the necessary documentation with the Revdex.com and the Attorney General's Office confirming that the matter has been resolved to your satisfaction.
If payment is not received by that date or other arrangements made, then R&M will have no choice except to file a lawsuit in order to collect this debt, in addition to interest and attorney fees incurred by R&M.
