I believe I was taken advantage of when I utilized this business to get rid of mold in my new home I am a single mother of two children and my flooring people found mold and contacted R M Hanhn Jr He informed me of the danger of mold in Virginia and some various types of mold that can make me extremely sick and possibly be life threatening I signed a contract notifying me that he would seal off contaminated areas in the home to remove all contaminated material and spraying infected areas with fungicide I was to pay $per man per day...then pay a labor fee of $per hour per man While cleaning up the mold, they found that my downstairs bathroom was rotted, and part of my upstairs bathroom was rotted as wellI believe that MrH*** knew I was unable to be at home at all times and his guys took advantage of this by pro-longing the labor, which lasted and a half days When I went over on my lunch break, it seemed there were more than enough men working on this issueThey would up finding a rotted bathroom floor, which they removed and replaced with ply wood I'm not sure what type of fungicide they used, but all I saw was bleach Unfortunately I paid my money at the very end, where I was told they had to come back the following day to complete everythingOn that day, MrH*** had a plumber there who was just standing around, and where I later learned, he got paid by the hour separate from RM Hahn Jr's company All the plumber did was show me that the bathroom floor was partially rotted upstairs I was not informed that the plumber was going to be there as long as he was and I was encouraged not to utilize my home warranty service When I came back to the house the day everything was supposed to be done, my new paint had been chipped off of my walls, my bathroom needed major sheetrock repair, and overall the price was $ After talking to a few other contractors (to be exact), they informed me that the job that was done should have costed no more than $to $ I know companies can charge whatever they want, but I feel I was definitely taken advantage ofI would not use this service again MrH*** prided himself on being a good business man, after talking to other licensed contractors, I feel he took advantage of the situation by pro-longing labor, not informing me exactly of what's going on, pricing, and utilizing way more men than necessary Because I was trusting, which I feel client's should be able to establish with their contractor, without feeling ripped off, I got ripped off

I contacted Mr. H[redacted] about a crawl space problem, I had a severe moisture problem and as a result over half of my floor joist were rotted. He gave me a price of $19,500.00 to make the repairs and correct the problem. He also gave me the opportunity to do the job by the hour, he stated that when you bid a job that you have to cover yourself and I understood that. I took the by the hour option as I thought that would be fair to all parties. When the job was completed it was 100% A-1 job and the price came in at $17,000.00 and some change. WONDERFUL CONTRACTOR.

I hired Mr.H[redacted] to solve a major water problem under my crawl space, he was far cheaper than [redacted] and his men were totally professional all the way. I tell all my family and friends about his service.

I signed a contract notifying me that he would seal off contaminated areas in the home to remove all contaminated material and spraying infected areas with fungicide. I was to pay $24.50 per man per day...then pay a labor fee of $75 per hour per man. While cleaning up the mold, they found that my downstairs bathroom was rotted, and part of my upstairs bathroom was rotted as well. I believe that Mr. H[redacted] knew I was unable to be at home at all times and his guys took advantage of this by pro-longing the labor, which lasted 3 and a half days. When I went over on my lunch break, it seemed there were more than enough men working on this issue. They would up finding a rotted bathroom floor, which they removed and replaced with ply wood. I'm not sure what type of fungicide they used, but all I saw was bleach. Unfortunately I paid my money at the very end, where I was told they had to come back the following day to complete everything. On that day, Mr. H[redacted] had a plumber there who was just standing around, and where I later learned, he got paid by the hour separate from RM Hahn Jr's company. All the plumber did was show me that the bathroom floor was partially rotted upstairs. I was not informed that the plumber was going to be there as long as he was and I was encouraged not to utilize my home warranty service. When I came back to the house the day everything was supposed to be done, my new paint had been chipped off of my walls, my bathroom needed major sheetrock repair, and overall the price was $7500. After talking to a few other contractors (2 to be exact), they informed me that the job that was done should have costed no more than $1500 to $2000. I know companies can charge whatever they want, but I feel I was definitely taken advantage of. I would not use this service again. Mr. H[redacted] prided himself on being a good business man, after talking to other licensed contractors, I feel he took advantage of the situation by pro-longing labor, not informing me exactly of what's going on, pricing, and utilizing way more men than necessary. Because I was trusting, which I feel client's should be able to establish with their contractor, without feeling ripped off, I got ripped off.
