Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: I received a call from this company on Friday, May 9th. I contacted them the following week. Someone came out on Wenesday and looked at the roof areas in question. Told me they applied some type of sealant in a few places and cleared both my drains. Told me my drain on the porch roof and main roof was clogged or blocked and that he cleared them. He showed a picture where a piece of slate was inside the surrounding of the main roof drain and he stated he removed it. He told me that *** who had did the work is not longer with the company but had left a few notes. After he left Wednesday, I had to call him back, in which he returned on Thursday to seal the porch roof. Acting on the notes he states he replaced a piece of the drainage vent on the main roof. I also found a piece of slate on my porch roof which apparently became loosened from my main roof. He told me he would gladly come back out and clear my drains if they got clogged again. However, I went out on my porch roof and found that where the roof inspector stated that the roof edging was not flush with the wall it was attached to and water was able to get under the new roofing that was laid down. I called *** to come back out and seal these areas. I re-checked after he returned and he did seal the porch roof. However, I have not had the chance yet to get up on the main roof to check and make sure that he sealed the loosened material there. Also, being that I'm suppose to have a new roof, wouldn't that include fixing or replacing the slate that fell off? If they have not fixed the slate part of the roof and the areas on the main roof that need sealing has not yet been done. Then no I do not accept their response

we came back out and did exactly what I would say that we would do5/I sealed the porch and cleaned out the drains (which are not part of what are contract states, cleaning out drains covered in dirt and debris) I did this as a courtesy and this can technically be a chargable item, I took pictures of what the issues were and showed them to the home owner, we installed white granulated roofing over the existing flat roofs on top main, front porch and lower back roofs, that is what the contract states, we didnot, nor were we contracted to do any kind of slate work and or maintenance on the slate pent roof, if slates are falling from the roof that is not what we were contracted to doI told the customer of the issues and how the roof was causing leaks , if water cannot get to the drains , especially snow and ice it will find a way in, we didnot repitch the roof , we didnot reconstruct the slope of the roof , we installed a roof over the existing roofing and structure that is at least years old, in no way shape or form did we put in our contract we would change any of that, if the roof leaks we will return to fix it as long as it is a roof issueclogged drains caused by dirt and debris are not our responsibility, or any other roofers for that matter, I dont know who the Roof Inspector was that came out to inspect the roof, but I would be willing to meet him at the job
thank you

PRESIDENT ELITE ROOFING

Review: I contacted Elite roofing to do roof repairs. We agreed for them to give me new roofing on all areas of the house. At the time I contacted them it was because I was already having leaks in the house due to the roof needing repairs, which I informed them of. After they did my roof which apparently all they did was put roofing paper down on all my roof areas, I still had the same leak off my front porch roof. With all the snow from this past winter I also had a leak in my back room. This leak damaged my ceiling and caused water damage to the wood floors. The leak that remains at the front of the building is damaging my porch, my roof edge and causing damage to my basement because the water is seeping thru the porch floor and rotting the wood around the windows and damaging the walls in the basement. I had my insurance company come out and take a look and they state that roofing repairs needed to be made that was not done and the drain in the front and back of the house's roof are pitched wrong.I contacted Elite about the roof still leaking but they never bothered to come back out or to address the leaks. They gave me a 10 year warranty on the work they did. I'm waiting for them to honor it.Desired Settlement: I want them to come back out and fix whatever is causing the water leakage on my front porch roof (which they should have fixed, already since that is why I contacted them), whatever caused the water damage to the back bedroom, since they were to give me new roofs. It should not have leaked at all, since they supposedly completed the work. Hopefully they can do this before this rainy season causes more damage. I believe the roof should have been completely retarred with the hot tar, then papered.
