I normally don't take the time to give a business a review, whether it is bad or good; however, my encounter with the people who own and run Dalton Paving urged me to warn others of this companyI had Kevin come out to my home and give an estimateHe urged me to give him a deposit that day to ensure the job will be completed in weeks (1st week of June) but I told him I need to discuss it with my husband before I can commitSo we decided to go through with the company and gave a deposit the day of in personI was informed that the job will be completed the first week of June and it was stated in the contractAs the weeks went by my husband and I tried reaching out to the men at Dalton only to get no answer or a message will be given to Rick, the ownerWhen I finally did get through to someone who can give me an answer I was told that the job will be completed in the following weekThis happened over the span of five weeksI had to constantly reach out to these people who were extremely rude to my husband and I for a job that we were paying forWe finally decided to cancel the job since the job had no issue date and weeks lapsed with no definite answer in sightDave ensured us we will receive a full refund since they did not oblige the contract, however, when we called the following day to confirm pickup of the check we were told that we will no longer receive a full refundThat we should have canceled days after we signed the contractI told them that would have been impossible to do since we had no idea the contract will not be honored by the companyWe never had the intention of changing our mind but we rather ended up becoming fed up with dealing with people who kept ignoring us and giving us the runaround for the day the work will actually be started when we finally did get through to a live personWe are now in the process of taking them to court for this problem, which could have been avoided from the getcoPlease take this review into consideration because you will end up dealing with unprofessional peopleWe thankfully found a company who cost $more but use incomparable material and manpower and outstanding customer service [redacted]
