Be Very Cautious When Dealing with RP Funding !
Timothy Hanks files lawsuit against RP Funding.
RP funding is no better than other lenders, and based on my experience it's horrible experience working with them. I'm being honest and objective when writing this post. Here is a general background of my case. My loan application to RP funding was submitted on 2/19 and the closing date is 3/16.
First of all, it took a long time to get the appraisal report back. I gave them my credit card number once I decide to go with them and that was before the loan application submission. It took a while for them to order the appraisal and it took a while for the appraiser to do the appraisal and then got the report. It took 2 weeks when I got the appraisal on 3/3.
Finally my loan was approved on 3/10 Tuesday but there were conditions. My realtor kept asking them what the conditions were and what we need to do to remove them because time was running out. We had to have everything in place by Friday 3/13 to close on Monday 3/16. They didn't get back to us until Friday 3/13 afternoon stated some
I had the same thing happen to me. Although we were able to close, I was at the closing table and RP Funding was still working on it.
Also, should you change your home insurance to a different insurance company, you need to notify RP funding even though the insurance carrier sent all the changes to RP Funding. That is not good enough. They need a verbal response stating that you( in this case me )that I authorized the change. And then trying to get ahead of someone at RP Funding good luck. I am so disappointed in this company.
