If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Jeff P [redacted] sold me a car that he knew was unsafe and illegal for the road. Also sold it for a price that is much too high. He is not responding in a professional way. It is not like Jeff P [redacted] sold me an old sofa. 443 Sales sold me an over priced death trap. I deserve $1,000 refund because of this ordeal. It shocks and saddens me that making a profit is more important to Jeff of 443 Sales than the safety of human life and my family. Remember this is the second car 443 sold to me that only lasted five monthes. Regards, [redacted] ***

Again Jesse was aware the car was not inspected at the time of purchaseThe reason(according to Jesse) the car will not pass the emission inspection is because there is an evapleakWe recommended that he have a smoke test done on the system and repair the leakThe car should pass the emission test at that pointMy understanding is if he spends $trying to repair the car for the emission test and it does not pass he will receive a waiver good for one yearThe car was purchased for a price reflecting the car not being inspected and sold without a warrantyWe offered to trade the car back for another with the understanding upgrading the car would come with a costJeff P***

I am rejecting this response because:They sold me a vehicle that was undriveable after telling me that the car was in "good condition, not great"The car was absolutely undriveableWhen I brought the car in and asked for a refund, I was asked to leave the officeI just want my money back for the down paymentThey refuse to give me thatThe only option they gave me is to pay them to repair the carSo, I pay them for the car, and then pay them more to fix the carAll I want is a refund for my $down paymentI just want this nightmare of a car-buying experience to be over.

I am sorry [redacted] feels that way. We try very hard to make sure we explain everything when a car is purchased. We put it in writing and have it signed to make sure everyone involved agrees. I  included those documents in our last response. We had not checked the car for inspection and had no knoledge whether it would pass PA state inspection in it's present condition. [redacted] knew all of this and signed acknowledging this. This is a very difficult price range for vehicles.

[redacted] came to 443 Auto Sales to purchase a car. The only car [redacted] was interested in was a 2003 [redacted]. 443 Auto Sales had not checked this car and the car was not inspected. Jesse had the car checked by his mechanic before he purchased the car. Jesse had the car brought back to 443 Auto...

Sales saying it had a hose that had burst. The car was checked, the cooling system pressure tested and road tested for over 20 miles with no signs of overheating or coolant leaks, the cooling fans were cycling properly. We contacted Jesse with our findings. We were told the hose he was speaking of was  for the emission system not a coolant hose. We advised him to have it repaired at a garage that did emission inspections in his area. The car was sold AS IS with no ** State inspection with this information written on the bill of sale and signed by Jesse. We have not charged Jesse for any of the time we have spent trying to help him. This is a very difficult price range and one that it is impossible to find a car without flaws.  Jeff P[redacted]

[redacted] and [redacted] purchased a 2010 [redacted] from 443 Auto Sales on  11/18/2016. After leaving with their new car the check engine light came on. They called back to the dealership and were asked to come back so we could do a quick evaluation of what caused the light. Upon...

returning the [redacted] was scanned showing a #5 cyl. misfire. There was no indication the the vehicle was misfiring so the code was cleared and they were instructed if the light came back on to return on Monday when we vwould have more time to check into the problem. They did return on Monday and dropped the car off for us to look at. We checked the performance of the coil packs and spark plugs. Checked electrical connections to all related parts, cleared the code and test drove the car for approximately 25 miles (Doulble the distance normally needed for a check engine light to come on) and no check engine light. The car was picked up the following morning. The check engine light did come back on for the [redacted]'s. We made another appointment to further check the car. The car was dropped off and we again scanned it for codes. The code was different than before, no #5 cyl. missfire code but a generic code. We again began the process of trying to find the source of the code. since it was an intermitent problem we connected a scanner to the vehicle to the vehicle capable of recording data while the car was being driven. Nothing showed up during the intial 20 mile test drive. Jeff soke to [redacted] and learned the problem appeared after a longer trip to Quakertown. The computer was attached again and the vehicle driven over 45 miles with no check engine light. Jeff spoke to [redacted] again when he stated he would rather leave the car and make sure everything was ok. The car was taken for another 45 mile ride with no issues. We called rentchler Chevrolet and scheduled an appointment to see if they could shed light on this intermittent problem. [redacted] called at 10 am saying he was 10 minutes away and would light to pick up the car. Jeff explained the plan with Rentchler but met with continued resitance. Out of frustration he said stop being an as.( an unfortunate inappropriate comment). We have done everything possible to solve the problem experienced by the [redacted]'s with there car even though it was not covered by the warranty included with the purchase. Intermittent problems are the most difficult to find and often take more time to find. We have never asked for any money for the work we performed only for enough time to be able to diagnose the problem. Hopefully they will afford that oppurtunity to whomever they decide to have work on there vehicle in the future.  Jeff

[redacted]'s complaint is not accurate. He drove the car to the dealership after he told us that he thought the transmission was bad. We told him we would check the car mechanically for him(at no charge). [redacted] wanted nothing to do with having the car checked, he left again driving the car. [redacted] made another appointment by E-Mail witch he never showed up for. We received a notification the insurance was cancelled. We contacted [redacted] about this and he said he cancelled it. We had the car towed to the dealership. The towing company said he had no problem moving and driving the car onto the rollback. we checked it for the transmission problem and found it was a little low on fluid. The fluids were topped off and the car test driven with no issues with the transmission. The exhaust has been damaged(partially torn off). [redacted] has also missed his first payment for the car. Jeff

[redacted] purchased a 2004 [redacted] at 443 Auto Sales on 02/17/15. There was a 30 day 1500 limited warranty included with the sale price.. There was a total of $1500.00 put down toward  the car($510.70 total fees and $989.30 principal). During the time she owned the...

car she has had several problems. The car developed a fuel leak. She brought the car in we did the repair for her (at no charge) and she was on the road again. We were told the tailpipe came loose and fell off, the car was not brought to us for repairs and most recently she experienced a problem with loss of power. She brought the car to us and was given a price to replace a clogged catalytic convertor. [redacted] decided to take the car elsewhere and have her exhaust problem fixed for a cheaper price and the bring the cart back for the inspection. [redacted] took the car home and could not restart it later that day. She agreed to have the car towed back to 443 Auto Sales. We received authorization  this morning to complete the repairs properly. We have tried to help overcome problems as they arose for [redacted]. With any mechanical item there are bound to be breakdowns from time to time. If we could buy a 11 year old car and have it be perfect no one would ever buy a new car. The car has been driven over 6000 miles (159500 at purchase, 165587 now)making me believe the car has been able to be used for its intended purpose during the time she owned it.Jeff P[redacted]

[redacted] purchased a 2000 [redacted] from 443 Auto Sales. The car was a recent trade and had not been checked by 443 Auto Sales. This was told to [redacted] before he purchased the car. The car was sold "AS IS". I have attached a copy of the bill of sale( signed "AS Is" and Where it stated the car...

was not checked for and may not pass PA stat inspection) and the Buyers Guide also marked "AS IS" and signed. We offered to trade the [redacted] back in instead of doing the repairs since [redacted] has been such a good customer in the past. Hopefully this answers his questions and we would be happy to do more business in the future.

Review: Purchases a 2000 LS [redacted] from 443 Auto Sales . Put down $1,000 and was paying $220 a month . The car needed an inspection and went back to Auto Sales and they said it would cost $1,000 to fix it and it was not worth it to come pick out a better car . They still want me to pay the remaing amount on car which comes to about $700 . I feel I should not have to pay for a car that is unsafe and I left it at 443 Auto sales . Before I went to Auto Sales I went to [redacted] Service Center and they told me to pass inspection it would cost $2000 and it wont last long and was not worth it . Also told me car was unsafe and should not be on road. A week after I purchase this car the struts went and 443 Auto Sales fixed for a price and at that time they had to put car on lift and notice all the damage and know the car was unsafe to drive but did not tell me and let me drive an unsafe car. They did not care for my safety . This is the second car I purchased at 443 Auto Sales that did not last 6 monthes.Desired Settlement: I should not have to pay them anything and 443 Auto Sales should pay me back half of what I already paid them which they should give me back $ 1000 for saling me and knowing this 2000LS Lincoln was unsafe to put on the road.

I am rejecting this response because: This is the second car I bought from 443 Sales that did not make it for 6 monthes . That is a total of $6,000 I wasted on 2 vehlcles . A car that is sold as is and 443 knew it will not pass inspection should not be sold for almost $3,000 . This should be 1,000 special or less . A car like this is dangerous to be on road for you and me and there has to be laws for this. I have been a good customer to 443 Sales but they have not been a good business to me . I do not trust 443 Sales and will not look for or buy another car from them. I want 443 Sales to refund me $1,000 . I paid for new tires and lights and repairs. Missed doctor appointments and work because of this car that is on there lot.

Review: On 05/08/13 I was on the 443 auto sales web site and found a 2002 chevy s-10 pickup truck that I wanted. So my wife and my self drove out to 443 auto sales first thing at 9 am to to look and buy the chevy s-10 pickup truck. The sales person came out and showed me the s-10 and then was trying to get me to go over to some ford rangers after I said that I only had $900.00 to put down on it that day. So he went and got keys to the two ford rangers. The first one we drove down the road then back sounded like it was going to blow up. The second one was a 1998 ford ranger. And that one had a very bad miss to it and the check engin light was on. A very bad bent rim that he told me that they could put a new rim on the truck. And they would fix the power window buttons that was pushed down in the door. I told the sales person that I still wanted the chevy s-10. He told me that the best truck was this 1998 ford ranger truck. That all it needed was new plugs and wires put on it. And the other two things he would fix on it. So we ended up taking the 1998 ford ranger. Two days after I had it I put the new plugs and wires on the motor and it still had the bad miss to it and the truck engin light stayed on. I took it to the garage that works on my things. And [redacted] did a test and told me that two valves was burnt bad in the head. And that the frame of the truck was to bad on it to go the inspection in 2014. And that the rim was bent that bad that it could blow out at any time. So I called 443 auto sales about the proublems with the valves and frame. They told me that I should drive the truck for a few more weeks. That the valves should fix them selfs. The ower told me if not that he would take the heads off and fix the heads. He made me think that I would not have to pay for any of it. Because I told him that he could take money off of the truck because my garage would do the valves. He told me that was fine that he would fix it. Then I paid a other $400.00 on the truck on 06/01/13. And he kept the truck to fix it. On 06/08/13 he told me that the truck was done that I could pick it up. He then gave me a bill for $1062.29 for the valve job. $192.16 for parts and $810.00 for labor. But the bent rim, window buttons was not fixxed. And they did not say anything about the frame. I left with the truck and had proublems with no power going up hills now. So I took it back out and droped it back off. And told them that it now has no power, The frame will not pass inspection, the bent rim was still on the truck and the window buttons was still not fixxed. They called me to pick it up that it was fixxed. So I told them on the phone that I will pick it up on sunday 06/23/13 because I got a new job and I was working long hours. My wife drove me out to pick the truck up. And no work was done to it at all. And I could not find the keys any where in the truck. I just gave up on the truck and sent a note in the mail asking for my money back that I put on the truck. I never heard anything from them till 07/06/13 till I went to the post office and had to sign for a note from them saying for lack of payment I now have to hand over the keys that they have. And I have to pay in full $3682.40 plus $1062.29 for work that was done.Desired Settlement: Or the 2002 s10 pickup that I wanted.

Review: My father purchased a car in the amount of 4,000 dollars on September 18th with me at 443 Auto Sales. The very same day I had called them up because the car was squealing and scraping on the passenger side. They were already being unreasonable telling me to wait days later to have it checked right after I purchased the vehicle. The next day on September 19th I wanted to take the car down the road with my son to see exactly what was going on so I went only about 4 miles to get gas. After getting gas the car would not even start. I had to get the car jump started and from there I headed directly to where I purchased the car. I arrived there around maybe 10 A.M. or so. I called my father [redacted] to pick me and my son up. The dealer was at first nice but quickly arrogant in remarks by saying he was going to do me a favor and open up a bay like it was my fault to get the car fixed. Anyway, the car was looked at and later picked it up in the evening and it seemed things were fixed but again right before I left the dealer ,[redacted] made another remark saying to be careful jump starting the car because they had to put a fuse inside the car and insinuating it was my fault in a discriminating fashion. Anyway I ignored the comment and my father went home that day and so did I. That night on September 19th I called again regarding troubles to the car because the noise problem was cleared but now the cars steering was off like an alignment problem or something else. I talked to [redacted] about this on September 20th and he said he would take care of it and everything would be ok but he did not say I had to pay for cost of repairs at all. He then made me an appointment for September 26th at 11:00 am. I said fine. I also talked to I believe the owner in length about the problem and the issues regarding the 2001 maxima that was purchased. I called them back on Monday, September 23rd to confirm appointment was made at Kia in Lehighton because their own shop I was told did not have an alignment set up. I asked [redacted] at this time if everything was ok and he would take care of the bill and make sure there are not other problems with the car. At that time he acted as if I talked to someone else and put me on hold for at least 10 minutes. He got back on and said he was sorry if he mislead me on the information last week but I would be responsible for paying for alignment at cost or any other issues. He kept on saying it wasn't on the warranty which I knew that in the first place but he made a verbal agreement with me as my dealer to rectify the problem but later misled me completely just to make a sale or it is possible that on Saturday I would of returned the car for refund. These agreements were discussed and there are witnesses to as well in my family that acknowledge what has happened. I now made an appointment on my own to have car looked at and I plan on sending a copy of receipt to my father whom will be paying for bill and to 443 Auto sales.Desired Settlement: I want 443 Auto Sales to be 100 percent responsible for the repairs of this vehicle and have my father reimbursed for them. They put us through a lot of hassle this past week and displayed no character in being a reputable business. The dealer seemed very bias and acted like everything was going to be ok just to make a sale on a car instead of caring about the customer first. His intentions at first seemed good but later certainly not noble. I would like to see a resolve to this problem. I am not getting anywhere with them as the last call [redacted] the dealer hung up on me .

Review: I bought a car from 443 auto and since I've had it I had it in the shop atleast 5 times and every time I bring it back there something else goes wrong, then when I go back the try to charge for all the parts and 100 deductible every time I go back, they never even gave me a copy of the warranty or agreementDesired Settlement: I would like all the money I paid for it so far and all the money I put into the car because I spent all this money on my car and I'm an 18 year old kid and I am afraid to give the car back cause I do not have enough money for another car because of all the money I spent on the car
