I've been coming here for years. They were always good. However, I went back to them for a simple brake job, and they told me that I needed front brakes, rotors, rear shoes, and rear rotors as well. They wanted over 700 dollars to fix this problem. Well, I decided to get a second opinion and really glad I did. The rotors were perfectly fine, the rear shoes were "Like new" quoted from the other mechanic. All my car needed from front brake pads. A 99 dollar charge versus 700 dollars. They over quoted me, misdiagnosed my car, and tried to swindle more money out of me. Very disappointing that they treat their customers like this. Highly NOT NOT recommended. Now, I wonder how much money they have taken from me over the years before when I didn't decide to get a second opinion. :(

Review: I took my car which a 2000 [redacted] no turbo to a shop R&R auto center on 780 Blue Hill Ave. I spoke to [redacted] and told him that I was having problems with my car it wouldn't start. [redacted] had told me that the A/C compressor was jammed that's why my car wouldn't start. So I had asked [redacted] would he be able to fix my car and how much would it be. [redacted] told me that for the labor it would be 140.00 he also told me that the compressor would be 100.00. I had told [redacted] that I would buy my own a/c compressor and he told me not to do that because it would cost 1000.00 for a new one but that he could get me an compressor cheaper than that, so I told him ok he could order it and that he get all of his parts from Germany. [redacted] had fixed my car and told me that I had a warranty on the a/c compressor. The car was fixed on back in June 2013 I had the same problem happen again to me in September 2013 this time the a/c compressor was locked and the timing belt snapped. I had to have my car towed to the nearest shop because I could turn my car on or drive it. I called [redacted] the next morning and explained to him what happened and he told me to bring back the a/c compressor and that he would reimburse mListen I'm sorry alright but I've told you time and time again I don't have st to hide if I do something I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong but what I'm not going to do is admit to something I haven't done I told you before I'm trying to make this work but I guess you don't believe me I thought I show you that everyday but you just don't see it e my money for the compressor because it had a warranty on it I told him ok. When I brought the compressor to him he told me that he had to call the place where he order the part to explain to then what happen when I spoke back to [redacted] he told me it only had a 30 day warranty on it. When I paid [redacted] for the labor and the compressor he did not tell me that the a/c compressor only had a 30 warranty so now he doesn't not want to reimburse me my money and was being very unprofessional about the whole situation. I asked [redacted] where did he order the part and of I could have their number. I call Everestt auto parts and they told me they only charged [redacted] $75 for the part and that they explain to the customer right then and there that theirs a 30 warranty [redacted] never told me I only had a 30 day warranty .Desired Settlement: I paid $240.00 for the compressor and the labor all together and would like my money back because I was told I had a warranty on the compressor but I was not told that it was only for 30 days. It took [redacted] four days to tell me that the a/c compressor only had a 30 day warranty. He could have explained that to me when I called and told him what happened. Instead he told me to bring back the parts and that HE would reimburse me for the compressor, when I returned the compressor.

Dear Revdex.com, This letter is in regards to complaint #[redacted] filed on 9/16/2013 by Ms. [redacted]. Ms. [redacted] called R&R Auto Center and told us her car needed a starter. The car wouldn't start and she was told that it needed a starter. She had the starter and wanted us to install it. We agreed and she came in with the starter. Before we installed the starter we checked the vehicle and found it was not the starter, but in fact the a/c compressor had locked up and jammed the engine. She said she was going to get a new a/c compressor which would have cost her around $1000. We explained that we could get her a used one for around $100 because the new one was out of her budget. She agreed. We purchased the used compressor on June 15th and we installed it on June 17th and we called her the same day and told her that her vehicle was ready to be picked up. After 2 weeks she didn't retrieve her vehicle or make any payments, so we called her on July 1st and informed her that we would have to charge her for storage. The next day she came to R&R Auto Center and made a payment of $100. After the $100 payment we did not hear from Ms. [redacted] for another week and a half. We called her on the 12th and informed her again that we would have to charge for storage and the next day she made a $140 payment and took her vehicle. We received a phone call on September 14th and Ms. [redacted] informed us that the a/c compressor was defective. We advised her to bring it to the shop so we could check the vehicle and call the warranty department. When we called the warranty holders, they then explained to us that the warranty was only for 30 days from the date of purchase and they could not replace it because it was out of warranty. They then faxed us a copy of the warranty and it was confirmed that it was a 30 day warranty. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us at [redacted][email protected].
