R & R Motors

My father and I recently went to R&R Motors to look at a 2001 Honda Civic with 136,000 miles for $3995. We took it for a test drive and it rode well and the car looked very nice. We settled on $4400 for the car but they only take cash or a certified check so we had to go home to figure out how we were going to do that since we were just going to charge it. After we figured it out and read some very poor reviews on the company my father wanted to drive the car again on the freeway before purchasing it. The wheel bearing was shot on it. Dave Jr. was understanding and let us talk it over and we decided it was an easy fix, and we would still purchase the car. We go in to discuss how we felt about it and before we can even say we were going to purchase the car Dave Sr. opens his mouth making an [redacted] out of himself thinking we werent going to buy the car even after we already settled on a price. He told us that if we were going to buy it then give him cash or certified check if not then whatever. That when they give their word it's honest. That he thought it was cute that my father was trying to show me negotiation skills, but it's a no. Now let me tell you this Dave Sr. you sure are an it. Even if we were trying to knock a hundred or so off that car we were STILL going to buy it until you ran your mouth off and made a fool of yourself, your son (who was more the understanding and nice) AND your business. I don't know how you stayed open for over 40 years with an attitude like that. You sir are unprofessional and I will NOT be recommending you to any of my friends or family. YOU ruined that sale, because at no time did we say we weren't purchasing that car.

My wife and I can't say enough about our positive experience purchasing a quality vehicle from R&R Motors. After searching for several months on the internet and in our local area, we came across a listing by R&R, on Autotrader.com, of a Toyota 4Runner that seemed promising. Contacting the dealer Dave, with our usual skepticism and a bit search-weary, we found a very informed, friendly, patient and accommodating professional who described the vehicle in detail over the phone (we live 120+ miles away) and presented it in exactly the condition in which we found it at his dealership. Dave's able assistant Tim set-up the pressure-free test drives and took care of the purchase transaction. It's a great feeling to have this degree of confidence when spending one's hard-earned money for a needed vehicle, and in spite of the distance from our home, we wouldn't hesitate to deal with R&R again. Highly recommended!!
