Ms [redacted] did have a sizeable repair bill from October when her Element had 215,miles on the odometerNone of the repair items were related to the performance of her engineIn February of this year (2017) we again saw Ms***’s car which now has miles on the odometer When connected to the diagnostic computer, over codes are showing that out of the cylinders are indeed misfiringCustomer declined further diagnosis and was advised that driving vehicle would cause further damage. It is our position that her previous repairs are not related to the problems she is now havingHowell (***) F*General Manager

Complaint was received this morning by [redacted] Was forwarded to me at 3:pm today(5-31-16) After investigating, found that matter was resolved yesterday(5-30-16) I assume everyone is happy as we agreed to original deal [redacted] General Manager

***:Thanks for working with me..Here is why I do not accepting company response: If test did show that engine has test problems (misfire) why?? did I need to spend all those 3k of money forall other repairs if engine no good?? My money should go for engine first and then for new battery, locks, alignment, ext..Vic Honda are professionals but seems to me they are so professional on ways to get money out of customer and they do not care if car is drivable after people take it out of garageThat’s the thing!! Its a crime, [redacted] as I see itI gave my car to [redacted] Specialists, not to regular *** Garage,I got back car with problems they know but I paid K for small things which I not need to be repaired if engine not good!! Best regards, [redacted] | [redacted]

Vic Bailey Honda is completely at fault and has offered the customer options: 1) a Honda Cr-V as replacement for the CR-V at no cost to the customer(actually lower payment, lower interest rate , and lower amount financed) or 2) complete refundI spoke with Mr [redacted] this morning and he expressed the desire to receive a refundSince there was a trade involved and negative equity, I asked him to let me get the numbers together and call him backI have left a voice mail for Mr [redacted] Our sales associates did not follow the proper process and as GM of Vic Bailey Honda, I accept full responsibilityI hope that one of these options will satisfy the mistake that was madeRegards, Howell (Chip) F*Executive Vice-President/General Manager

RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Regards, [redacted]

I have attached a summary of all the work performed on *** *** car by our dealershipAlso attached is a *** report which shows his car had a branded title We attempted several repairs in the hope a new engine would not be neededIn the end, they did not fix his problemThis is why
we offered to credit the money he had spent with our dealership toward the cost of a replacement engineWe do not believe anything we did contributed to his engine failing so we are unwilling to offer any further assistance.Sincerely,*** ***

Hi *** I read the attached documents and statementI have new concerns nowFirst off having a branded title is completely irrelevant to the amount being charged for repairsWhat was the point of even bringing that up? Next I read where they had a "discussion" with me about the possibility of needing a new engine or bad bearingsTHIS IS THE FIRST I'VE HEARD OF THISI was NOT informed of a possibility of a new engine or bad bearings until the engine failureAll that was recommended was an oil pumpAt the same time they offered a new engine with previous repair costs toward a new engineWhy not reimburse me the "down payment" total back to me and I find my own engine? It would be the same thingExcept I wouldn't be going through themSo with that said, what should I do? What is next? Thank you for your timeHave a great day!

I apologize for the confusionI attempted to trade the vehicle at another dealership last evening but due to the fact that it is a brand new vehicle the trade in value was a lot less than what I paid for the vehicle and I would be in more debt for another new vehicle than neededSo in resolution
to the whole issue I would simply like to turn the vehicle in and walk away and go else where to purchase a vehicle from a more reputable dealerThe dealership was not forthcoming nor did they try to inform us after the sell that this was something they did not discloseI feel if that I keep this vehicle that my wife and I will always have issues when we take it in for service or required maintenance

I disagree that the car having a branded title is irrelevantIn hindsight, I expect it needed an engine all alongHowever, *** *** did come to us to repair his car and we were unable to complete the taskTherefore, I would agree to refund the money he paid to Vic Bailey HondaMy records reflect this amount to be $2528.57 *** ***

My technician observed and oil leak that we felt was caused by an oversized oil plug being usedWe have no record of replacing an oil plug on the vehicle so I am not sure why Mr*** feels we should be responsibleAs you can see from the attachment, Mr*** has had his vehicle serviced
as multiple locationsI would suggest he check his records to see if the oil pan plug was replaced at one of those locations. This was our diagnosis based on what we observedUnless Mr*** can produce evidence that indicates the oil pan is leaking because of something we did improperly, I do not feel we are responsible and consider this matter closed. Please let me know which repair we performed , per your instructions, in October that caused the problem you are currently having with your Element

This one the first time we had serviced this vehicleTherefore, we had no service historyCustomer was asked about transmission flush and could not remember. Fluid was dark so we changed the fluidIf customer will provide evidence that this service had previously been done, we will refund
this portion of his service bill. *** ** ***General Manager

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
Reason is that I have had the oil changed at the dealership for over a year.  I had the oil changed in other locations including the dealership prior to that but for at least the last 4 or 5 oil changes,  I've had the oil changed at the dealership exclusively. How can they change the oil for the last 4 or 5 times in a row and never noticed there was an oversized oil plug unless they put it there.  They say they don't have record of it but never said anything was wrong until "there was an oil leak"?  So where did the oversized oil plug come from?  Their mechanics couldn't ell there was an oblversized plug all that time?I find that hard to believe.

Vic Bailey Honda is completely at fault and has offered the customer 2 options: 1) a 2018 Honda Cr-V as replacement for the 2017 CR-V at no cost to the customer. When I generated this complaint I was really angry, probably compounded by recent family issues in trying to care for our four grandchildren. In all fairness to Vic Bailey Honda, my complaint was premature as all of our concerns seem to be being addressed and we look forward to delivery of the 2015 [redacted]. We appreciate all of the Vic Bailey team members we have encountered and their efforts to make us feel valued. We look forward to a long relationship with Vic Bailey Honda,
Best Regards,

Ms. [redacted] did have a sizeable repair bill from October 2015 when her 2003 Element had 215,000 miles on the odometer. None of the repair items were related to the performance of her engine. In February of this year (2017) we again  saw Ms. [redacted]’s car which now has 229926 miles on the odometer....

When connected to the diagnostic computer, over 14 codes are showing that 3 out of the 4 cylinders are indeed misfiring.. Customer declined further diagnosis and was advised that driving vehicle would cause further damage. It is our position that her previous repairs are not related to the problems she is now having. Howell ([redacted]) F[redacted]General Manager
