I called R&R to look at my walk in cooler and they told me they would have a tech out in minutesThey showed up 1:minutes laterI was timing it because of the food that was going to spoilUpon arrival they did a diagnostic and told me that the breaker was bad and it needed a new starterThe Tech changed the breaker and starter and continued the diagnosticHe found that my compressor was supposedly badBecause of the compressor being bad it required a manager to come take a lookThe managers name was ***At first look *** thought it was a phase unit but it is in fact a single(this should of been a warning right there) *** stood there and looked at the voltage meter over the tech shoulder and confirmed the compressor was badHe didn't touch the unit just looked at the voltage meter*** then got a phone call from another tech asking for a price quote on anther job and without calculating anything *** said "just charge him $that should cover it." (this was another warning sign) After he got off the phone *** told me it would cost approx $4K to repair it or I would have to replace entire unit for approx $8K-$9K but don't hold him to itI asked if we could try and start it one more time but *** said no the compressor is bad and assured me that it would cause more problemsAt that point time is money and *** just kept talking my ear off telling me story's of other situations to reinforce why it would be smarter to replace the unit instead of fixing itAfter politely listening to Roberts nonsense for minutes I told him I would need to wait and I immediately rushed to go pick up temporary reach in coolers to keep the food safeAfter making sure my product was safe I called another company for a 2nd opinionThe 2nd company came out right awayThey put a new starter on it and changed the Solenoid on the fanThey told me the compressor was good and that although its old its a advanced system and that it actually draws more power to get started than a system(This is very important information to knowInformation that R&R were oblivious about.) And the solenoid going bad is what made the breaker go outBoom walk in fixedI called Back to R&R and left a message for *** to call me backHe didn'tAfter days I called back again and left another messageHe still didn't call me backThen I called again and got a hold of himI informed him that there diagnostic was incorrect and asked to have the $diagnostic fee removedI told him the rest of the bill was ok and had no problem paying itThe total bill was $and I was simply asking for the $diagnostic fee back because it was not accurate*** got disgruntled said there was nothing he could do and rushed me off the phone saying his diagnostic was correct and asked if there was anything else I wanted to add before thus conversation was overI was shocked that he wouldn't own his mistakeSo I asked him are you sure you don't want to reimburst that $85? It would stop me from sharing my experience onlineAfter all your diagnostic was incorrectThen He said that he wasn't going to be held hostage with online terrorism and now there is definitely nothing he can do and hung up on meThe other company that was much more knowledgable is Brock Refrigeration and they charged me $Thank god I got a 2nd opinion before spending that kind of money
I recommend everyone to get a 2nd opinion if they use R&R Refrigeration Heating and AC

Paid $for a service agreement appoxin July Was given a clean bill of health for the AC unitDecember 2016,only months later, they come to do the second visit at which time I am informed the unit is in terrible shape, in regards to "workmanship" when the unit was installedThe only issue mentiones in the first "service" visit was dirty coils on the roof unit...everything else was in "great shape" including freonWas given an estimate of $to fix the unit in its current shapeI was given NO discount from the "service agreement" I signed in JulyI would never recommend...period...ever

I was worried about my a/c unit and after hearing commercials on the radio about getting it serviced I decided to call someone I used R & R Refrigeration because it's a local business where I live and I wanted to support local The service techfrom R & R arrived on Tuesday around am It turns out I knew the service techbecause he had worked at another job where I saw him Chuck, the service tech was very professional, he checked my a/c unit in the attic and found a defective transfer was not performing properly He recommended I replace it so I decided since he was there to go ahead and have it fixed Turned out it cost about dollars for the part He then cleaned my a/c unit with some solution and went down stairs to check the outside unit He cleaned the outside unit with some solution and checked the a/c level in the unit It was fine so it just needed a little cleaning Now my a/c unit runs nice and cool So far this year we've only had to run the a/c unit in the daytime because it's been cool at night I would recommend them to my family and friends if they want great service by a local business
