I looked through the dispute and I would like to state for the record that [redacted] was informed about the charge and she didn't protest it at the time when bill was made. an hour. We charged $55.00 for the part plus $30.00 for the Oil Change. Plus taxes and the total was $189.44. [redacted] did not dispute any charges at the time when she picked her car up. Review: I went to the listed business for an oil change which was priced at $30. Once there, I was told I had a leaky gasket under my hood and it would cost me $55. I said okay and was told to come back in an hour. When I returned after an hour my car was still where I left it. A mechanic went over and spent five minutes under the hood. I was then given a bill for instead of the $85 I was expecting to pay, it was for $189.44. I protested and I was told there was a charge for an hour's worth of labor. I was never shown the bill until it was time to pay it and I was never informed that I would be charged for an hour of labor when it only took five minutes.Desired Settlement: I would like the business to adopt a more ethical way of dealing with customers. I should have been informed about the entire charge before the work began. I would like a refund of the $119 for labor I was charged for five minutes worth of labor. Shame on R & R.
