I am rejecting this response because: Industry standard is not to have the customer deal directly with the manufacture, I have managed several parts stores and managed different shops, this is the first time we have ever had to deal with the manufacture, if this was the case we would have bought the transmission elsewhereWhen the transmission failed the manufacturer sent a independent appraiser to go over the vehicle to determine that there was nothing on the vehicle that could have caused this or abuseNo issues were found and the appraiser told us that it was a manufacturing issueParts don't always fail right away, a rebuilt engine can fail a month, months, a year down the road, this is the reason for a warrantyThere was nothing stated with warranty paperwork of this not being covered under failureWe bought this transmission unit with a year warranty with no stipulations besides abuse or lack of maintenance and neither of these issues were the case or could be proven by the appraiserWe stand behind all of our workmanship as a shop and need our suppliers to stand behind their parts that they sell, we are demanding a replacement transmission to be able to take care of our customer and reimbursement of our labor for redoing the transmission installWe will not except anything less at this pointAgain, there is no proof of any wrong doing by our customer so therefore the warranty needs to be covered unless they can prove different

The customer needs to deal directly with the manufacturer APS. They can be reached at ###-###-####

We are a distributor for the product that was purchased by the customer. It is industry standard that the manufacturer handles all warranty claims. When the transmission was received and installed it was in full working order. If it was not then the problem would have occurred
immediately after putting transmission fluid into the unit, not miles down the road. The vehicle has an issue that was not resolved or arose after the install and caused the unit to become defective. It was not the transmission failing that caused the defect. Here is the statement from the manufacturer in regards to the unit. "There was no leak complaint until miles according to the claim that was called into usIf it would have left here with a crack, it would have shown up immediatelyThe Dodge trucks are notorious for this due to the design of the chassisAny worn mounts, u-joints, carrier bearing, taking the truck off road can cause these housings to fractureThey have serious frame movement issuesThe issue was not caused by workmanship or parts used during re-manufacturingIt was the outside influencesWe have a redundant inspection procedure on these units to make sure the housings are not cracked when re-manufactured."As the distributor it is not our responsibility to diagnose what is wrong with their customers vehicle and why they are buying this re-manufactured unit from us. That is the responsibility of the installer to determine why the original unit failed to verify that it wont happen again when the new unit is installed. If they get another unit and the problem outside the unit is not corrected they will keep going through them and want it warrantied again
