Review: 2/29 - Boyfriend purchased (2) months of unlimited tanning from RU Tan in Rancho Cordova for me as birthday present on 2/13/16. I never got to use the tanning package as on 2/29 I went by the Rancho Cordova location to tan and there was a piece of wood over the front door with a note indicating the business had been vandalized and would be closed until further notice. There was also the number for the corporate office to call with any questions. The sign also indicated you could use the (2) other locations in Sacramento or Modesto to tan.

I called the corporate office and explained my work hours are 10:00am to 7:30pm and in the past I would go to tan at the Rancho location at 9am so I could tan and get to work in South Sacramento on time. The other locations in Sacramento did not open until 10am, which did not give me enough time to tan and get to work on time. In the evenings when I got off I have to pick-up my granddaughter and could not go after work. I therefore requested a refund, via credit to our debit card. They said they would have to look into whether or not they could refund me and they would call back.

3/2 - called CORP again as I did not receive a call back, said she would call her supervisor and call me back. No call back. Also called [redacted] at k street location to see if there was some else I could talk to. She said she would look into it and call me back, No call back.

3/3 - called Corp again said would process credit today

3/7 - called Corp again as credit has not been received. Said it would take a few days. Said she would check and call me back.

[redacted] (manager from Modesto) called me back. Said the refund had not been processed by Rancho location and she just called because Corp called her and said she told her to "call this lady back" [redacted] didn't know what I needed. [redacted] took my card info and said she would process the refund. Said to give it 2-3 days to show in my account

3/10 - still no refund. Called CORP, no answer, left a message. Called Modesto location to speak to [redacted], was told she was in class and they would text her to see what status is, will call me back.

3/10 - Cecily called back. Said [redacted] said "credit wouldn't process you must of paid cash" which I didn't. Said [redacted] would mail out cashier’s check for 88.09 tomorrow

3/16 - no check received still. Called Modesto location, [redacted] was not in. Told staff I was checking on status of check. It had been almost a week. She said [redacted] off, would have her call me. 3 hours later [redacted] called and told me I should receive cashier’s check any day. A

3/18 - still no check. Called Modesto location, employee said [redacted] not working today or all next week but would text to see status of check.

3/19: still no check. Called Modesto location again. Told employee, she text [redacted] and called me back, said [redacted] said she would track the mail receipt. Told me to give it to Monday and call back if still not received

3/21- still no check. Called Modesto location and expressed my extreme frustration. She advised that I call corporate office. I told her they no longer answer when I call. I decided to call from boyfriend's phone and they picked up. I told her that I was told check was mailed on the 10th and that it does not take check 11 days to arrive in the mail. She said I thought it was mailed today, I said " what!, you are telling me it wasn't mailed already??" Then she backtracked and said " oh well I don't know, I'm going to have check and get back to you in the morning" I told her if I didn't hear from her by 10am the next day I would call her.

3/22- I didn't hear back (which was not a shock, because corporate office has NEVER called back this entire time, I've have always had to follow up). So when I called the corporate office, she said the district manager mailed out a check late last night. I was really angry at this point and said “I thought the check was mailed on the 10th?" She said no it takes a while for the accounting department to process. WHAT??? So this entire time I have been waiting for a check that was never mailed. I said “can't I just come to the Sacramento location and get the cash?”, she said no as the check had been mailed and for me to wait a few more days and if I still didn't receive it then they could place a stop on the check and give me the cash. I have no confidence that I will receive the check or any form of a refund.Desired Settlement: I simply want my money refunded to me. I would like to go to one of the Sacramento locations to get a cash refund. I do not want to wait any longer for a check. They have mentioned 6 times or more that the "check is in the mail" and also initially indicated they would credit my debit card, and still I wait.
