Refund was denied after being told if I bring receipt I would be given in full. They invented a freight charge I was not told about at time of purchasI ordered a [redacted] 10/31/14 over the phone and paid 50.00 in advance with debit card. I was not told there would be a freight charge. My mechanic ordered the part so I cancelled the order at raceway. I called several times for a refund they told me they needed the receipt in hand. I drove 30 miles just to get what they said I could have. Upon arrival with receipt in had I was denied because they said the 50.00 went to freight. I was then stranded in Savannah because I was depending on them to stand on their word.Desired SettlementFull refund of 50.00 is requested immediately. It is not my fault I was told to bring my receipt and a refund would be granted. I should have been told up front of the freight charge that is not even on the sales receipt. Then after holding the part for 3 weeks without it being picked up or any communication, we returned the part to the vendor resulting in Raceway Auto and Truck being responsible for freight charges to get the part in and to return it. According to our company policy stated on our invoice, No freight refunds will be paid on part returns or credits due to customer error. Also stated on our invoice, Returns of incorrect or not needed parts must be made within 30 days of original purchase. A total of 5 months has passed since the part was returned. Because of these reasons no refund will be given.
