I pulled into pump #11 at the indicated business. Upon filling up my car with fuel, I topped off my tank and the entire hose cane disconnected from the pump. The larger metal coupling on the hose spewed has in the line all over me and the metal coupling struck my right foot with great force. I immediately walked inside to get something with water and soap to try and get all of the gasoline off myself and my wife. My wife began taking pictures due to the incident that happened. I wiped off her legs and mine with the rags and she asked to see my foot too. Once I removed my sock, a dark bruise already appeared on the top of my foot near the joint of my toes. The cashier *** came outside to have the manager talk to me. She consistently asked her manager to give her the owners phone number and write an incident report but the manager refused to do either. The same manager *** then told me he will not write an incident report and that there is no way that I was injured and to stop faking it. The cashier went inside and was kind enough to leave me her phone. The manager hung up on me and then called back to talk to *** but she was still inside to continue running the store operations. When I answered her phone recognizing it was the manager, he then cursed me out telling me I 'better not steal her phone, go girl it back right now, it not your phone so give it back'. After such hostility I then ended the call and proceeded to give *** back her phone that she lended me. She then informed me that because the manager refuses to help, that the best thing to do would be to contact the police department and fire department to file the appropriate reports. I called the non emergency and spoke to operator 203 of Shreveport PD and she had both services sent to my location. The fire department checked my foot to see the badly bruised skin. (Incident XXXXXXX Engine *** The PD then came and informed us that the FD report should suffice as evidence for damages.

Desired Settlement ID: Other (requires explanation) At the minimum, I would like compensation for my damaged goods that were soaked in Gasoline. ($150 for my Nike shoes and $200 for my wife's ruined Birkenstock's). Then I would like further compensation for bodily injury due to the injured foot, and skin irritation because the station did not provide any certified cleaner to remove the gasoline on our legs and was told to Use hand soap from the bathroom and some rags behind the counter. Lastly I desire compensation for pain & suffering.
While I was not on a shift I received a call from my employee stating that a customer had a complaint about pump 11. She stated that the hose had come lose and spilled gas over a customers spouse. I informed her that it rarely fell and that I had put a work order in to have it replaced ASAP. She then proceeds to hand the phone to the customer who was respectful at first. He explained the situation. I then explained that I had put a work order in and that I'm sorry for the mishap. I then explained that he should call raceway customer support to resolve his issue since I could not help him any further. He told me that raceway would give him the run around and then explained he wanted me to give him some sort of compensation. That is not my decision to make. I then reiterated that he should call raceway customer support. He then said he was going to fill out a injury report which is understandable and what he should have done. He then became very hostile and cursing at me demanding compensation while insulting me. I apologized again and he hung up in my face. I called the phone back to talk to my employee and he answered again cursing at me. So I hung up and waited about 10 min before calling back. My employee then told me SPD and SPFD we're called. There was nothing else I could do for the gentleman and his wife at the moment without him calling raceway customer support. They are raceways pumps and I had already sent a work order to raceway. But since it being the weekend they have no one to fix it.
