Went in with a promotional ad that stated I won at least two of the items listed (vacation, car, $3-25,cash, etc.) I figured I'd check it out while running errands...this is a dealership where we always take our vehicles for service Thinking I'd have to go through the silly scenario of having them match my winning number and of course, receiving the token prize of $3, I gave the form to the salesman Whenever I've received these before from other dealers, they at least honor the small cash prize After about minutes of having me answer many questions, the salesman [redacted] met with the manager, then came out and told me that 'only serious buyers' can winWhen I said, "That's not what the ad said", he replied, "That's marketing!" advertising...if not a scam

This has been resolvedThe check for the balance was short and we made up the difference to the customer
"">Thank you,*** ***

Dear ***,
I am writing in response to the letter
received from *** ***. We take
matters of this nature very serious and greatly value our customers. Unfortunately the statement provided my ***
is not
accurate. On Saturday, October 26th,
*** did purchase a Ford Fusion from our dealership and traded in a
Ford Taurus with over 150,miles.
She did spend several hours at our
dealership and looked at a few different vehicles and test drove more than one
before she decided on the Ford Fusion.
The price on the Wisconsin Buyers Guide was $26,490. After going over some numbers with her, she
agreed to purchase the car for $24,plus taxes and appropriate fees. She also received a trade allowance of $2,
for her Ford Taurus. The vehicle
did not have any other prices listed including any price tag that she claims
was hanging on the rear view mirror and I certainly never grabbed anything from
her. During her time shopping for a
vehicle, she did leave the dealership and came back a 2nd time,
several hours later, after she decided to buy a vehicle from our dealership.
Upon her return, there were several
customers buying cars and she did have to wait for her turn to complete the
paperwork. While I was going over the
paperwork with ***, I slowly and carefully explained every detail to her which
included the appropriate sales tax, motor vehicle fees, and service fee. Additionally, I explained all her warranty
options and showed her the price of the warrant and what her monthly payment
would be with and without the optional warranty. She decided to purchase the warranty coverage
and we completed the transaction. At no
time did she appear to be tired or confused and she was not pressured in any
way
Since that time, *** has had several
discussions with me and *** ***, as well as a meeting between *** and
her son. All parties agreed that a
dealer concession of $2,would satisfy any and all regrets she may have had
in purchasing a vehicle Furthermore,
*** filed a complaint with the Wisconsin DMV, which conducted an
investigation. The DMV found no wrong
doing and closed their case. After many
months and discussions with ***, we will be unable to satisfy any further
request for a refund
Sincerely,
*** ***

Went in with a promotional ad that stated I won at least two of the items listed (vacation, car, $3-25,000 cash, etc.). I figured I'd check it out while running errands...this is a dealership where we always take our vehicles for service. Thinking I'd have to go through the silly scenario of having them match my winning number and of course, receiving the token prize of $3, I gave the form to the salesman. Whenever I've received these before from other dealers, they at least honor the small cash prize. After about 10 minutes of having me answer many questions, the salesman[redacted]met with the manager, then came out and told me that 'only serious buyers' can win. When I said, "That's not what the ad said", he replied, "That's marketing!". False advertising...if not a scam.

The customer [redacted]  had been coming in for oil changes with her
1998 Chevrolet Malibu since August of 2013. When customer came in on first oil
change to this shop the tech noticed the oil pressure light coming on the dash.
Customer declined initial diagnosis
/>
of oil pressure light and chose to drive vehicle with light on. The customer
was told that if vehicle has low oil pressure the engine is most likely on it’s
way to failure and just to drive vehicle until engine dies. The customer came
in for 2 more oil changes since then and was told the same thing about engine
failing due to oil pressure light. On April 16th the customer called
in with the complaint of oil pressure light still coming on but now the car was
stalling while driving and check engine light was on. She then approved the
diagnosis fee and had us come pick up her vehicle from her place of work. We
picked up vehicle and the vehicle stalled out on the way bringing it back. When
vehicle was brought into shop the tech scanned for codes and checked oil
pressure. There was a code in system for vehicle misfire and oil pressure was
good and no codes where causing check engine light due to low oil pressure. The
technician then recommended plugs, plug wires and PCV valve to fix misfire
concern and also a oil pressure sensor because oil pressure was good but the
sensor was not reading correctly. The advisor then called customer and told her
the results of the system test and the customer approved work. The technician
performed work replacing the plugs, plug wires, PCV valve and oil pressure
sensor and then started vehicle. Technician then tested system and codes were
gone for misfire and oil pressure light stayed off. Then after stall test the
technician took vehicle for test drive to inspect drivability and on his way
out of the lot the car stalled out. The technician then pushed vehicle in and
inspected again. When car was started this time engine noise was present. Due
to lower end noise in engine the technician tested oil pressure again. On this
test then oil pressure was now reading 0 psi. Checked for oil level and checked
for leaks. No leaks found, so technician declared engine failed. The advisor
then got estimates for new engine and called customer and left message on her
machine that we completed the work to her vehicle but now a new problem had
been noticed and she needed to call back. When customer called back she was
told the engine failed on test drive and she said she was coming down. When she
came to shop the customer was upset and the manager and co-owner of company
talked to her. The advisor billed out all parts and labor for repairs at cost
done that day out of goodwill towards customer and offered her a price on used
engine with major discounts to both parts and labor and customer declined and paid for bill. Technician then pushed car
outside shop and customer had it towed away and that was the last we heard from
her regarding this problem.
