Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] There are two claims made by Mr [redacted] that require a response: "The quote received was not properly reviewed with [redacted] and several attempts were made by the management team to rectify the matter, however, [redacted] made no attempt to return any of the communiques." I don't know what he meant by "not properly reviewed." Clearly we reviewed the offer and clearly it included a $charge that was not explained anywhere on the document, while all other line items were consistent with those of three other dealerships we were talking to at the time Clearly the offer was greater than that of another Hyundai dealer in the greater Milwaukee areaAs for the comment that I failed "to return any of the communiques," that facts are that I responded with three separate email messages to Internet Sales Manager [redacted] In these messages I attempted to explain the nature of our concerns Subsequently, I received one more email message from another Sales Manager, named [redacted] , asking me to call I responded by email saying that I preferred not to communicate by phone, but only email I also encouraged him to review my comments in the [redacted] emails and that I didn't know what more there was to sayI agree, technically, with the following comment as posted by Mr [redacted] , "When Racine Hyundai presented an offer for the customer at no time was there a another documented offer submitted." However, the whole truth is that the price match claim, posted both in email and on the website, say nothing about documentation Perhaps more importantly, no one from Racine Hyundai ever mentioned that any kind of documentation was required Nor did any salesperson dispute my claim of a better offer In fact, I could have easily forwarded an email offer confirmation, exactly as I claimed So while Mr [redacted] has found time to try to attack my integrity, this message fails to address our concern that (1) at least in our case the advertised price match guarantee was not honored and (2) that other individuals may have been charged $more than expected The final explanation on why the final price was $more than the sum of their itemized list was that $was an etch fee Unfortunately, even a U.SNews article lists etch fees as one of "Car Dealership Fees and Services to Avoid." Perhaps this is why the $overage was never explainedRegards, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I, too, received a letter in the mail from Racine Hyundai and was not surprised by the content.  Although it DOES appear that they are handling it correctly now (16 months later), they continue to point the finger at someone (Sec of State of IL) rather than themselves; they are claiming the Sec of State of IL lost the title work.
As explained in my original complaint, after 4-5 months of my purchase, I was informed by someone at the dealership that they didn't have my title, it had been sent to a bank, etc., only to receive a call later that day saying they found it under a stack of papers on their desk.  At this point, not only were things a few months past due, someone tried to place blame and it came back to bite them.
In June of this year (now 13 months after purchase), they had the opportunity yet again to handle this.  The person I was speaking to at the time ([redacted]) assured me he was going to stay on top of things, keep me informed, etc.  Not only did he fail to keep me informed like he should have, he kept saying "things are processing at the State of IL, no further updates".  That obviously was not the case if, now in September, someone informs me that the State of IL doesn't have the paperwork/title after all....if they don't have it now, they didn't have it and weren't processing it in June/July/August.
In 9 days I am taking a family vacation and driving 15 hours in a vehicle that is currently registered to someone who hasn't owned in AT LEAST 1 1/2 years.  Should I be pulled over for any reason or need to show proof of registration, I will all but be in deep water because it's going to look like I'm driving a stolen vehicle.
In short, yes, perhaps proper action is being taken 'now' but what about all the effort, time, and risk I've gone through up to this point?  My title and registration is still another 1-2 months out as well.
Regards,
[redacted]

We like to apologize for any inconvenience the customer may have had with communications with our associates. The quote received was not properly reviewed with...

[redacted] and several attempts were made by the management team to rectify the matter, however, [redacted] made no attempt to return any of the communiques. When Racine Hyundai presented an offer for the customer at no time was there a another documented offer submitted. We take pride ourselves in our transparency and ease of doing business. We regret any miscommunication.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]
There are two claims made by Mr. [redacted] that require a response:
"The quote received was not properly reviewed with [redacted] and several attempts were made by the management team to rectify the matter, however, [redacted] made no attempt to return any of the communiques."
I don't know what he meant by "not properly reviewed."  Clearly we reviewed the offer and clearly it included a $199 charge that was not explained anywhere on the document, while all other line items were consistent with those of three other dealerships we were talking to at the time.  Clearly the offer was greater than that of another Hyundai dealer in the greater Milwaukee area.
As for the comment that I failed "to return any of the communiques," that facts are that I responded with three separate email messages to Internet Sales Manager [redacted].  In these messages I attempted to explain the nature of our concerns.  Subsequently, I received one more email message from another Sales Manager, named [redacted], asking me to call.  I responded by email saying that I preferred not to communicate by phone, but only email.  I also encouraged him to review my comments in the [redacted] emails and that I didn't know what more there was to say.
I agree, technically, with the following comment as posted by Mr. [redacted], "When Racine Hyundai presented an offer for the customer at no time was there a another documented offer submitted."  However, the whole truth is that the price match claim, posted both in email and on the website, say nothing about documentation.  Perhaps more importantly, no one from Racine Hyundai ever mentioned that any kind of documentation was required.  Nor did any salesperson dispute my claim of a better offer.  In fact, I could have easily forwarded an email offer confirmation, exactly as I claimed.
So while Mr. [redacted] has found time to try to attack my integrity, this message fails to address our concern that (1) at least in our case the advertised price match guarantee was not honored and (2) that other individuals may have been charged $199 more than expected.  The final explanation on why the final price was $199 more than the sum of their itemized list was that $199 was an etch fee.  Unfortunately, even a U.S. News article lists etch fees as one of "7 Car Dealership Fees and Services to Avoid."  Perhaps this is why the $199 overage was never explained.

We are verv sorry for your experience and frustration. Our records show copies of your original title work had been sent to the State of Illinois for processing. Based on our research last week, we concluded that it seems to have been misplaced at the...

Illinois Secretary of State. After you expressed your concern last week, we addressed the matter and completed the paperwork to obtain new, expedited title (at our expense), which you have in your possession as of today. We are awaiting your signed paperwork to be returned in the overnight envelope we enclosed. Upon recei\ing your paper work back, we will overnight it to the Illinois Secretary oi State. We will provide you with an overnight tracking number. The new title with your credit union's len will then be sent to your crecit union after Illinois ccmpletes their end of the transaction. We apologize again for the inconvenience this matter has created you. This should be rectified within the next 30-60 days with your credit union as that is what the customary time that the State of Illinois takes with the processing of the new title.

We again are very sorry for your experience and frustration, I am in receipt of your 2nd response to the Revdex.com. Everything that can be done to resolve your title issue has been done. We have decided to accommodate your wish of granting you a $500 good will payment for the efforts you had to go through in helping resolve this matter.
