J.Rand Jason did excellent work, working hours on a large project to finish it in one day They were courteous, knowledgeable, and professional, and even helped out with some minor issues that weren't related to the main job While washing his hands, J.Rcleaned out our faucet head, and left a spare paint can and brush for the insulated pipe they had installed and painted He saw some shoddy duct work that had been done by a previous HVAC company and fixed it for free They left the area looking better than it was before, and it was by far my best experience with a plumbing company

I am rejecting this response because:
***,
Hello my name is *** *** and I had filed a complaint with the Revdex.com regarding what I thought was a pretty unprofessional response to damage caused from a water heater inspection. Attached a copy of your response acknowledging this and that I would be getting a reimbursement of $(attached receipt) for work I had to do with another company
Apologize if sent something, but I haven't received anything as of yet

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
The response to my complaint against Radiant Plumbing & Air Conditioning that Radiant provided to Revdex.com is inaccurate and untrue, which is proven by the information I have provided previously and the attached information provided with this rebuttal. In particular, please refer to my letter dated August 7, 2016 to AMEX which gives a detailed explanation of the facts.  This charge is bogus and a fraud. In addition to the rebuttal points listed below and the attached information, there are two witnesses besides myself who can substantiate the facts of my dispute. One witness, [redacted], has given a notarized statement (see attached).  The other witness will be glad to provide a written statement also if required. My specific paragraph-by-paragraph rebuttal to the inaccurate statements in the summary provided by Revdex.com of Radiant’s response is as follows:
Paragraph #2: When I first spoke to Radiant about a service call with my friend, [redacted], they explained to us that they would not do any work when they came out to the house until they had given me an estimate in writing of how much the work would cost and until they had gotten written authorization from me agreeing to any repairs.
Paragraph #3: The time of arrival stated for [redacted], the Radiant repairman, is incorrect.  My phone log shows when I made calls to Radiant to try to arrange for a repairman. They had difficulty finding someone to come out, and the repairman did not come immediately. [redacted] did not arrive at my house until after midnight, not 10:49 PM. He was not at the house very long.  Please refer to the specific details in my letter to AMEX disputing the charges from Radiant.  Mr. [redacted] did not give me a written or itemized estimate.  He only gave a vague verbal description of some minor repairs which seemed totally illogical for a charge of $1,999.50. I am a licensed mechanical engineer with 34 years of experience, and I knew that the entire condensing unit with compressor could be replaced for about the same amount, not just repair part of the system. The issue was with the programmable thermostat, and [redacted] stated that he did not know how to repair a programmable thermostat. In response to our questions, [redacted] stated he was in his twenties and had only worked for Radiant for 6 months.  From his responses to questions about the air conditioning, he was inexperienced in general.
Therefore, I did not sign anything electronic or hardcopy authorizing the repair to be made, and I did not sign anything electronic or hardcopy accepting work or charges for work. The “signature” on the document is not my signature. In fact the signatures are not even the same on the documents Radiant submitted. Also, they are not able to produce any paperwork or warranty info for the repair they claim was made.
Paragraph 4: Radiant claims that [redacted] gave me an estimate at 12:37 AM and that only 19 minutes later at 12:56 AM [redacted] had completed work valued at $1,999.50 – this did not happen and such a short timeframe for such a costly repair is not believable anyway. Again, I did not accept or authorize any work or the charge of $1,999.50 to my AMEX card.
Paragraph 5: The signature on the paperwork provided by Radiant is not my signature or the signature of anyone representing me.  The signatures produced by Radiant do not even match each other.  They are bogus. After [redacted] left my house I immediately called Radiant again to complain about [redacted] and to let them know that no work had been done and the A/C was still not cooling properly.
Paragraph #6: Radiant’s claim that [redacted] did additional work later in the day of June 12, 2016 is not true.  He came to the house. I was not at home, and when I talked to him on my cell phone, I told him that I had not authorized him to work on the system in the first place because what he said at my house did not make sense and I did not trust that he had the experience to fix the system and also because the ridiculously high quote he had given me for the work was not something that I was interested in pursuing under any circumstances.  Again, I did not authorize him to do any work and no work was done.
Paragraph #7: I did call Radiant again to complain on June 15, 2016, and later I talked to a supervisor named [redacted].  I described what had happened and told him I had not authorized any repair to the HVAC system and that no repair work had been done.  I told him that the A/C still was not cooling adequately and that the A/C was still in the exact condition as when I reported it to Radiant.
Paragraph #8: AGAIN, the “signature” documentation provided by Radiant is false as described above regarding Paragraph #3.
Paragraph #9: Contrary to what Radiant is falsely claiming, I have talked to them on a number of occasions stating that the A/C was never fixed, is still now cooling adequately, and the charge to my AMEX was not authorized. In fact, on July 8, 2016, I talked to another Radiant supervisor named Joseph who set up an appointment to meet me at my house to see firsthand that no repair was done. The appointment was set for Friday, July 15, 2016, but no one from Radiant showed up to meet with me. This is documented in the attached statement from [redacted], who was with me when no one came as promised.
Paragraph #10: Contrary to Radiant’s statement, my facts show that Radiant did not follow correct process in any of the ways they describe.  They did not give me a written estimate, they did not get my authorization verbal or written to do any repair, and they did not get my authorization verbal or written to charge $1,999.50 to my AMEX card.
Paragraph #11: Radiant is alleging that my dispute of this false claim is evidence that I habitually dispute charges to avoid payment.  As shown by the facts provided, this is a totally untrue statement which I consider an insult to my integrity. There is no proof that I have had a similar situation with anyone but Radiant. In fact, I have never had any experience with any repair company like this before, claiming for a repair that was not made and fraudulently charging my credit card.
To date, there has been no follow-up from Radiant to resolve my dispute.
Again, my complaint clearly has not been resolved, and should be kept open by Revdex.com to protect other consumers.
Regards,
[redacted]

I have reviewed how this was handled, and I agree with his complaint. We should have come out to help him resolve his issue for no charge. I am happy to pay the 150.00 for charges he incurred that were unnecessary. How do we proceed from here?

Excellent work and very courteous!

J.R. and Jason did excellent work, working 12 hours on a large project to finish it in one day. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and professional, and even helped out with some minor issues that weren't related to the main job. While washing his hands, J.R. cleaned out our faucet head, and left a spare paint can and brush for the insulated pipe they had installed and painted. He saw some shoddy duct work that had been done by a previous HVAC company and fixed it for free. They left the area looking better than it was before, and it was by far my best experience with a plumbing company.

Thank you JR for your excellent customer service and professionalism when repairing my slab leak. If and when add'l plumbing is needed, I'm going to give JR a call.

Hi there,

rgb(34, 34, 34); font-size: 12.8px; font-family: arial, sans-serif; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">The following contains a summary for the complaint/dispute regarding HVAC charges to [redacted] (Job reference #[redacted] and #[redacted]).
Regards,

On 6/11, an after hours call was placed with us at 10:09PM, the call was for Ms. [redacted]’s home and [redacted] was assigned as the after-hours technician to arrive at 11pm.
An after hours trip fee of $159 was advised, accepted and charged to Ms. [redacted]’s AMEX credit card. This is our standard trip fee for after hours calls.
[redacted] arrived to the residence at 10:49pm and after reviewing the issue that was causing the house not to cool, he provided an estimate for work to correct the issue at 12:37am. The estimate was for $1999.50 and was reviewed and authorized by the customer.
At 12:56am [redacted] completed the job and obtained an authorizing signature from Ms. [redacted].
This signature matches previous signatures obtained by this customer, including disputed Plumbing work charges.
On 6/12 [redacted] returned to Ms. [redacted]’s residence after she called and made a complaint that the house was not cooling, [redacted] returned and quickly confirmed that he had incorrectly set the fan speed and made a simple adjustment that reversed the issue. He noted that the unit was operating correctly and that the house began cooling. This was a no charge call to the residence as it fell under a warranty claim on work completed.
We were advised on 6/15 that Ms. [redacted] was disputing the charges from the 6/11 call, stating that she had not authorized this work to take place or charges to be made to her card.
Inuit confirmed that there was a dispute lodged and Jonathon has since provided all documentation to verify the signature of the customer allowing [redacted] to proceed with work.
On separate occasions Ms.[redacted] has been advised that we have her signed approval to proceed with work. We have not received any further feedback from her that the AC unit is not operating correctly. The basis of her claim is not founded.
We have followed correct process with regards to reviewing the estimate of the work to be completed, the understanding and approval of the work to be completed, signed authorization of the work and charge process to the customers AMEX card.
There have been three charges disputed by this customer, which would suggest that she habitually applies these tactics to avoid payment of work completed - both across Plumbing and HVAC services.

If you want something done right, you have to call Radiant Plumbing – they are well worth the cost, and then some. When the warranties on our new house expired, so did the reliability of everything the house was built with. Even our duct work had been deemed inadequate and done wrong. We’ve been plagued with costly needed repairs, many of which required replacement parts no longer available or approved for use. Our hot water heater underwent several repairs before Jose at Radiant fixed it for good. It was such a relief to stop the daily trips to the attic to re-light the pilot light. They earned our trust that day.

They further gained our respect and profound gratitude when they literally came to our rescue after a main water line break in the yard. We had been two weeks without water, after exhausting all available options with sub-contractors, city utilities, insurance, and maintenance policies when we called Radiant for an estimate. Temporarily down on our luck, we had to decline the repairs, until we could raise the cash for the work. We were floored when we received a follow up call from Radiant informing us that JR Hernandez, the plumbing specialist that provided the estimate, had made arrangements to donate his time to help us. Mr. Hernandez is one the most knowledgeable, courteous, compassionate, professional plumbers we have ever dealt with, and Radiant restored our faith that there are still honest businesses out there willing to do the right thing.

We highly recommend Radiant, and feel that a five-star rating is not sufficient – it needs to be ten!

Respectfully, the Mendez Family
