I have used this company times - in 2012, and again in Aug The first two times I was happy with the experience and the results This last one was not a good experience The installer was not an employee, he identified himself as a subcontractor, I had specified a niche was to be installed In one of the shower's walls Within a minute of walking in the door - the Installer was telling me that I "didn't want a niche, they were just a water catcher and were messy" When I told him that the faucet wall had to be left open for the plumber - he expressed his displeasure and said "nobody told him about it" He often mentioned that his time was most important, that he was paid by the job and didn't want to listen to any of my requests When I would tell him what I wanted - "that wasn't how tile was laid out" and he knew best how to do it He was able to get the old tile out from under the current vanity - but when I wouldn't agree to how he wanted to lay the tile - he said he wouldn't be able to get the tile under the vanity and that I would have to live with a grout line - "he was 'able' to get the tile under the vanity" He did not level the floor - I called the owner about my concerns about the leveling and he told me it didn't need to be done for a "small bathroom floor"; the subcontractor told him (the owner) that I was 'indecisive" meaning that he couldn't get me to agree to how he wanted to tile my bathroom Basically he wanted to tile my x tiles horizontally not vertical both in the shower and on the floor The floor is NOT level with a very noticeable edge on one tile - right where you stand at the sink I told him no construction debris was allowed in my waste dumpster, when I went to put my garbage in - it was half filled with debris and he had poured out excess grout and mastic into my bin to the point that I was barely able to wheel it to the curb When he arrived at the job he had no rags, no materials to protect my tub when he did his demo, nothing to protect my floors, he took no care of caustic material left on doors and handles - he did vacuum my floors, he did clean up my tub extremely well (there was a lot of gunk left from the old wall and caulk and he scraped it all out to the point that the tub looks new), the tiling job does look good; he did a good job grouting leaving very little haze; but I had to fight the whole way to have it done the way I wanted it done

I have used this company 3 times - in 2012, 2014 and again in Aug 2016. The first two times I was happy with the experience and the results. This last one was not a good experience. The installer was not an employee, he identified himself as a subcontractor, I had specified a niche was to be installed In one of the shower's walls. Within a minute of walking in the door - the Installer was telling me that I "didn't want a niche, they were just a water catcher and were messy". When I told him that the faucet wall had to be left open for the plumber - he expressed his displeasure and said "nobody told him about it". He often mentioned that his time was most important, that he was paid by the job and didn't want to listen to any of my requests. When I would tell him what I wanted - "that wasn't how tile was laid out" and he knew best how to do it. He was able to get the old tile out from under the current vanity - but when I wouldn't agree to how he wanted to lay the tile - he said he wouldn't be able to get the tile under the vanity and that I would have to live with a grout line - "he was 'able' to get the tile under the vanity". He did not level the floor - I called the owner about my concerns about the leveling and he told me it didn't need to be done for a "small bathroom floor"; the subcontractor told him (the owner) that I was 'indecisive" meaning that he couldn't get me to agree to how he wanted to tile my bathroom. Basically he wanted to tile my 12 x 24 tiles horizontally not vertical both in the shower and on the floor. The floor is NOT level with a very noticeable edge on one tile - right where you stand at the sink. I told him no construction debris was allowed in my waste dumpster, when I went to put my garbage in - it was half filled with debris and he had poured out excess grout and mastic into my bin to the point that I was barely able to wheel it to the curb. When he arrived at the job he had no rags, no materials to protect my tub when he did his demo, nothing to protect my floors, he took no care of caustic material left on doors and handles - he did vacuum my floors, he did clean up my tub extremely well (there was a lot of gunk left from the old wall and caulk and he scraped it all out to the point that the tub looks new), the tiling job does look good; he did a good job grouting leaving very little haze; but I had to fight the whole way to have it done the way I wanted it done.
