This company was paid in full & on time but still sent it to a collection agencyThey were told 2X of their error but now have put on credit report

In I went to the ER at a hospital I work at and still work atI received bills from all over as one does after an ER visitI kept all of these bills and allowed my insurance to payI received no other bills from Radiology Consultants or notifications that my payment on a bill was lateI did however receive a letter that my account was being sent to collectionsI called my insurance company at the time, RS Clark Collections, and Radiology Consultants of North Dallas the day I received the letterI was informed by my insurance the bill would be paid by themI had a $copay and all other bills were covered by themI notified RS Clark Collections of this and was told to call the original collectors of the account and have them contact RS Clark to cancel the collections accountI did as they said and called Radiology Consultants of

Unfair billing practices
I just received a bill from RS Clark and Associates Collection saying I owe an outstanding bill of $I have NEVER EVER received a bill for that amount from Radiology Consultants of N DI called the billing office of Radiology Consultants and they say I owe them over $
They claim they sent me bills but I SWEAR I never received any bills for that amount despite what they sayIn fact I did receive one bill in Feb for $which I promptly paidThis makes no sense
My credit rating is EXCELLENT and I do not want my credit score affected by this fraudulent billing practice
How do I know that if I pay RS Clark this amount I will not keep getting sent to them in order for Radiology Consultants to collect more money FRAUDULENTLY? WHY would I with a Credit score of over not pay a supposely owed bill of $12.00? Makes no sense of course
