Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted] 4/14/ Radisson Hotel Riverfront Cincinnati’s (RHRC) response is totally falseI had no contract with this company because there was no certainty about their services or about their capability to provide those services to me Furthermore, RHRC and I were still negotiating the room assignment for the dinner banquet at the time that my credit card was chargedMy visit to RHRC on 3/18/was to see the two rooms and to make a final decision regarding the eventAlso RHRC had never signed or returned a signed copy of the document, “Catering Contract” also indicating that we were still negotiating the terms of the event The copy of the “Catering Contract” is the same one attached to RHRC’s response to this complaint I contacted RHRC on no less than three occasions, trying to set up an appointment to come down to see the room on the 16th floor because RHRC was so adamant about assigning this room to me instead of the ballroom, and stating, “the 16th floor would be perfect for your event”RHRC continued to put me off about seeing the room on the 16th floor by stalling, and not responding to my phone calls about scheduling a date to see the roomRHRC finally agreed to meet with me on March 18, 2016, to see the room on the 16th floor The room was totally inappropriate for a dinner event especially one that included a programThe room is for holding an icebreaker or hospitality room I stated to RHRC during my first conversation on 1/28/2016, the main reason I was selecting their hotel was because of the Restaurant, I explained that I was hosting a Sunday Brunch for my year old mother and some of her guest would be coming just to the Sunday BrunchHaving the birthday dinner at this location for my year old mother was secondary because I was taking into consideration her age and disabilities (wheelchair) and I knew that I needed a location that would accommodate both events (Dinner and Brunch)Also, I needed one location so that she did not have to be taken in and out of the elements to attend these two eventsRHRC was fully aware of these facts during our first conversationBefore any document was signed, they assured me that all renovations would be finished by the time of my event, stating that their yearly Easter Brunch at the Restaurant was a highlight at the RHRC On 3/21/2016, when, I informed RHRC that my event would not take place at their hotel, not only was the Restaurant not “fully ready”, it was completely shut down at the time of my visit on 3/18/and RHRC told me that it would not be open by Easter and they were losing a lot of money because of that factRHRC also stated that the Restaurant would not be open by my event However, after informing RHRC on 3/21/2016, that my event would not be held at the RHRC, RHRC offered to open the Restaurant for my Sunday Brunch on 4/10/This indicated that RHRC was fully aware of the significance of the Restaurant when planning this event, and that it was discussed as a contingency of my events being held at RHRC Furthermore RHRC charged my credit card twice for erroneous amounts of $and $ RHRC’s document indicates that the rental for the room was $and a minamount of $for the event On 3/22/2016, RHRC charged my card for $which should have never been charged to my card because they had been notified that the event would not take place at RHRCNot only was this an erroneous amount charged to my credit card, but also the date of this charge way outside of any hours for payment of the event, which did not take place and I did not authorize this amount Even if I had a contract with RHRC, they erroneously charged my credit card in the amount of $This amount is nowhere in their documents To have a valid contact there must be a certainty about the terms, of any agreementRHRC has admitted in their response that there was no certainty in the services that they would be capable of providing, stating the following: “If she wanted to possibly try "Give it shot" the restaurant might be ready, since her event started April 9th and She wanted to cancel on March 21st ........I just couldn't "Guarantee" that the restaurant would ready.” RHRC never offered to “reduce the total charge for her event in the ballroom” because our discussion was primarily centered on the RestaurantThe only offer was to open the Restaurant for my event which I could not agree to because I realize the need for approval from state officials to reopen a restaurant and I did not want to chance the health and well-being of my party to this not being properly handled Lastly, when I requested a refund on 3/22/2016, I was referring to the $that has already been charged to my credit cardI certainly did not agree to or give approval for RHRC to charge my credit card again in the amount of $which is not the min amount Therefore, to resolve this complaint, I am request that RHRC refund my credit card in the amount of $ Respectfully, [redacted]

I spoke directly with Ms*** in and attempt to present options for her and resolve the issueThe issue being our roof top restaurant was being renovated and the client wanted access to the restaurant
However, the clients event was being held in our NEWLY renovated ballroom which is clearly
stipulated on the signed contract ......The client NEVER discussed the event was CONTINGENT upon our roof top restaurant being completed
Or, we would have written language into the contract advising the client the possibility of the restaurant NOT being available......it was never discussed !!! The event was being held in our ballroom and that is what we were honoring
When I spoke with the Ms***, and she notified me that her "Intentions were to cancel her event" based on the restaurant not being fully ready, I explained to her that her that her contract was with our ballroom NOT THE RESTAURANT and the renovations were and "Ever Moving Target"
If she wanted to possibly try "Give it shot" the restaurant might be ready, since her event started April 9th and She wanted to cancel on March 21st ........I just couldn't "Guarantee" that the restaurant would ready Ms*** refused and wanted to move forward with canceling her event
I explained she had miss the time frame to cancel the event without being changed her full "Minimum Balance" I offered again to reduce the total charge for her event in the ballroom , once again Ms*** "Refused" the offer, I explained once again "I will have to charge you your minimum balance due, if you cancel you event " .....she stated " I don't care, I'll see you in court" and she hung up the phone
I followed up with an email letting Ms*** know I will be moving forward with charging her card that we had on file for payment
I have attached a copy of the email I sent to Ms*** and a copy of signed contract

Radisson Hotel Riverfront Cincinnati’s (RHRC) response
is totally false. I had no contract with this company because there was no certainty
about their services or about their capability to provide those services to me.
Furthermore, RHRC and I   were still
negotiating the room assignment for the dinner banquet at the time that my
credit card was charged. My visit to RHRC on 3/18/2016 was to see the two rooms
and to make a final decision regarding the event. Also RHRC had never signed or
returned a signed copy of the document, “Catering Contract” also indicating
that we were still negotiating the terms of the event.  The copy of the “Catering Contract” is the
same one attached to RHRC’s response to this complaint.
I contacted RHRC on no less than three occasions,
trying to set up an appointment to come down to see the room on the 16th
floor because RHRC was so adamant about assigning this room to me instead of
the ballroom, and stating, “the 16th floor would be perfect for your
event”. RHRC continued to put me off about seeing the room on the 16th
floor by stalling, and not responding to my phone calls about scheduling a date
to see the room. RHRC finally agreed to meet with me on March 18, 2016, to see
the room on the 16th floor.
The room was totally inappropriate for a dinner event especially one
that included a program. The room is for holding an icebreaker or hospitality
room.
I stated to RHRC during my first conversation on
1/28/2016, the main reason I was selecting their hotel was because of the 360
Restaurant, I explained that I was hosting a Sunday Brunch for my 95 year old
mother and some of her guest would be coming just to the Sunday Brunch. Having
the birthday dinner at this location for my 95 year old mother was secondary
because I was taking into consideration her age and disabilities
(wheelchair)  and I knew that I needed a
location that would accommodate both events (Dinner and Brunch). Also, I needed
one location so that she did not have to be taken in and out of the elements to
attend these two events. RHRC was fully aware of these facts during our first
conversation. Before any document was signed, they assured me that all renovations
would be finished by the time of my event, stating that   their yearly Easter Brunch at the 360
Restaurant was a highlight at the RHRC.
On 3/21/2016, when, I informed RHRC that my event
would not take place at their hotel, not only was the 360 Restaurant not “fully
ready”, it was completely shut down at the time of my visit on 3/18/2016 and
RHRC told me that it would not be open by Easter and they were losing a lot of
money because of that fact. RHRC also stated that the 360 Restaurant would not be
open by my event.  However, after
informing RHRC on 3/21/2016, that my event would not be held at the RHRC,
RHRC  offered to open the 360 Restaurant
for my Sunday Brunch on 4/10/2016. This indicated that RHRC was fully aware of
the significance of the 360 Restaurant
when planning this event, and that it was discussed as a contingency of
my events being held at RHRC.
Furthermore RHRC charged my credit card twice for
erroneous amounts of $300.00 and $1963.10.
RHRC’s document indicates that the rental for the room was $100.00 and a
min. amount of $1750.00 for the event.
On 3/22/2016, RHRC charged my card for $1963.10 which should have never
been charged to my card because they had been notified that the event would not
take place at RHRC. Not only was this an erroneous amount charged to my credit
card, but also the date of this charge way outside of any 72 hours for payment
of the event, which did not take place and I did not authorize this
amount.  Even if I had a contract with
RHRC, they erroneously charged my credit card in the amount of $2263.10. This
amount is nowhere in their documents.
To
have a valid contact there must be a certainty about the terms, of any
agreement. RHRC has admitted in their response that there was no certainty in
the services that they would be capable of providing, stating the following:
“If she
wanted to possibly try "Give it shot" the restaurant might
be ready, since her event started April 9th and She wanted to cancel on
March 21st ........I just couldn't "Guarantee" that the restaurant would ready.”
RHRC never offered to “reduce the
total charge for her event in the ballroom” because our discussion was
primarily centered on the 360 Restaurant. The only offer was to open the 360
Restaurant for my event which I could not agree to because I realize the need
for approval from state officials to reopen a restaurant and I did not want to
chance the health and well-being of my party to this not being properly
handled.
Lastly, when I requested a refund on
3/22/2016, I was referring to the $300.00 that has already been charged to my
credit card. I certainly did not agree to or give approval for RHRC to charge
my credit card again in the amount of $1963.10 which is not the min.
amount.
Therefore, to resolve this
complaint, I am request that RHRC refund my credit card in the amount of
$2263.10.
Respectfully,
[redacted]
